Certainly this could be poetically said about reading a romance novel... the story between the pages, on the ereader, is a world away, a place to travel to from the comfort of your home, or as you go about your daily life. However, there’s another meaning to the phrase that popped into the Kougaress’s head. Randi Alexander was the guest author at ROMANCE WRITERS BEHAVING BADLY. She made the point that women who read romance novels are generally much more interested in having sex with their ‘significant other’. The Kougaress has seen these type of statistics before. Certainly, she finds romance novels inspiring in this way. And men, or women, who don’t realize this are missing a lot of great sex. A lot of potential for great romance, also. Randi expressed a sentiment in the comment section this Big Cat totally agrees with ~ “The world needs more romance, in my humble opinion.” In our current world, Romance seems like a world away for most of us. And, it is. Many of us are starving for romance in our lives, and that doesn’t mean just sex. Real convenience via tech would be a good thing. So far, this Big Cat has noticed a whole lot that is what she would label ‘real convenience’. Where’s her robo maid? On top of that, the way technology has been designed, it’s a killer, as in cancer-causing. Sadly, there are much safer technologies that would achieve the same or better results. But, of course, that would put ‘big pharma’ out of business. ~darn~ NEAR MIDNIGHT NOTE: The fireflies are out in force, and it is an amazingly eerie and beautiful sight, at the same time. Marshal Dillon was, in the easy parlance of that time, a man’s man. There aren’t any left on TV to the Kougaress’s knowledge, one of the ‘many’ reasons she no longer cares about watching TV. Now, admittedly, she did give up on the show when it became clear Miss Kitty would never get her man... but then, in the end, maybe she did. Even as that era of TV ended, and the passing of James Arness now signifies the final nail in the coffin... well, currently there is a huge resurgence in Western Romance novels, sweet to erotic. Yes, pardner, another ‘beginning’ is well underway. In fact, this Big Cat author’s writing finger is itchin’ to pull the trigger on another western erotic romance. Thank you, to Mr. Arness for all of his inspiration. And, thank you, for your character portrayal of a real man, except for Miss Kitty, of course. But, hey, that’s how it was in those times. No, there are no iconic photos of folks standing in breadlines. However, as one person pointed out, those who depend on food stamps use a digital card, so why would they be standing in breadlines? Pic from Coast to Coast am ~ Sakkara Object ReplicaI was recently touring the National Air and Space Museum in Washington D.C. when I noticed something rather intriguing. In a room containing aircraft and artifacts from the beginnings of flight, I looked at an exact replica of the Sakkara Object that was found in a tomb in Egypt dating back to around 200B.C.After looking at the object and reading its information, I walked out of the room, looked up, and immediately noticed "Space Ship One" hanging from the ceiling in the main entrance. That is when it struck me. I grabbed my camera and made photos of Space Ship One, then I went back and took photos of the replica of the Sakkara Object. The "tails" of both craft are identical !!! What are the odds of the first privately funded, non-governmental craft ever to fly into space sharing such an important design characteristic with one of the first ancient artifacts of a flying craft ever discovered that helped launch the research into the "Ancient Aliens" theory ??!!! I would love to know why the designers and engineers that built Space Ship One chose that particular tail design, and the performance advantages that particular design gave their craft in high altitude / sub-orbital flight.--Lamont Cranston~~~
June purrs, my summer-seeking Pussycats... yes, before-the-storm warm and air-still on the tame prairie... however, it was a brief thundery visit with some rain... gosh, the weather is weird, even weirder than the usual weird... and, it feels so odd outside, this Big Cat hesitates to go outside at times... fortunately, the wild critters seem to be okay... and there was this large, gorgeous yellow-buttery butterfly with black-tipped wings flitting about before the brief thundershower. ~~~~~~
Midyear Already... Redundant, boring, that is yowling about the hyperspeed of time... but, can you believe it? The year, 2011, is halfway over. ALREADY!!! Where does the time go?
