Yep, instead of having the life blood of your money, your Cd’s, your 401 K’s, and your pension sucked dry ~ you could be sucking dry those who would be sucking you dry...bloody justice? Her heart raced and she clutched at Zeke, staring at the huge bounding shadow creature that crossed their path and somewhat resembled a black cat, though, none she’d ever seen on her Earth. “What the...” she began. Fright froze her forward motion as she watched the long snake-like tail disappeared into the side of the building. “It’s okay, darlin’.” Zeke bundled her close and Sylva could tell he was amused. “It’s Elmer,” Marina offered, as if that explained everything. “Elmer is a regular ‘round here,” Grant added. “He likes scarin’ newcomers.” Her cowboy rubbed her back soothingly.
Zeke surely enjoyed the feel of his beautiful wife clinging to him this way. “He certainly does,” she grumbled. “But, what is he? I mean he doesn’t look real.” Hugging her, he rocked his Sylva close. “Elmer is real enough. He’s what we call a visitor from another realm. Like Grant says, he thinks it’s good fun to pop through to our dimension in a spooky vanishing act. Every now and then, he comes through in what we call his full body. He’s a feline species we don’t have here. Black, big as a panther and he has bear-like features.”
