After Ecuador revoked his asylum status, the Wikileaks founder was arrested by British police on Thursday, apparently at the behest of the United States which charged Assange with computer hacking over a 2010 incident.
However, Assange is facing court in the UK first, but if he’s extracted to the US, he will face charges up to five years of prison unless more serious charges are added.

Assange has been living in the embassy since 2012 when when he was granted asylum. On Thursday evening, WikiLeaks had tweeted that a “high-level” source within the Ecuadorian state has informed the publisher that he will be expelled “within hours to days” over the INA papers offshore scandal as an excuse.
“A high-level source within the Ecuadorian state has told WikiLeaks that Julian Assange will be expelled within ‘hours to days’ using the INA papers offshore scandal as a pretext and that it already has an agreement with the UK for his arrest.”
On March 26, the official WikiLeaks Twitter account posted about it and stated that Moreno is attempting to hand over Assange in exchange for US debt relief, a fact which was reported by The New York Times.
The Ecuadorian government used fake evidence that WikiLeaks’ was involved in the release of the INA Papers leak. In reality, the WikiLeaks Twitter account had only announced that their President Lenin Moreno is being investigated by Ecuador’s Congress for corruption.
On April 1, Ecuador submitted a request to the United Nations Rapporteur on Privacy to take urgent measures in response to the INApapers publication, listing WikiLeaks as the responsible party. This is a lie.
“The INA Papers are a set of documents published in February 2019, allegedly uncovering the operations of INA Investment Corp, an offshore tax haven created by the brother of Ecuadorian President Lenin Moreno. The trove of emails, phone communications and expense receipts are said to link the president and his family to a series of corrupt and criminal dealings, including money laundering and offshore accounts. The leak has sparked a congressional investigation into President Moreno for corruption. Moreno can’t be summoned for a criminal probe while he remains president. He is currently being investigated and risks impeachment,” WikiLeaks website explains.

On April 2, the President claimed that Assange “violated the ‘conditions’ of his asylum” and that he will “take a decision” “in the short term.” He said, “In WikiLeaks there is proof of espionage, of hacking, of the fact that phones have been intercepted and private conversations, there are even pictures of my bedroom.”
Assange’s Ecuadorian lawyer, Carlos Poveda, responded by saying, “Remember that WikiLeaks has an internal organization and Mr. Assange is no longer in the editor. We will now resort to other types of situations, especially the Inter-American Commission.”
Last Monday, this journalist visited Assange in the embassy and was locked in a room as an argument ensued between the publisher and Ecuador’s Ambassador Jaime Alberto Marchán.
Assange accused the ambassador of being an “agent of the US government” and colluding with the US government to help persecute him.
At one point, Marchán even told Assange that he wanted him to shut up.
“I know you want me to shut up — the Ecuadorian president has already gagged me,” Assange fired back. “I am banned from producing journalism.”

Amazon’s Alexa Device IS Listening To Your Most Intimate Moments — Their Explanation Is Absurd

A team of Amazon analysts is listening to 1,000 or more voice recordings made in private homes daily, and the company says there’s virtually nothing you can do about it.
The company, owned by multi-billionaire Jeff Bezos, who also owns the Washington Post, says that having workers listening to private voice recordings is simply to improve the voice-assistant Echo’s ability to understand human speech.
“Full-time workers and contractors at the online retail giant reportedly sift through as many as 1,000 recordings per shift – and even share ‘amusing’ clips between themselves,” The Sun reports.
Seven former employees who worked in Amazon’s voice review programme came forward with the startling revelations, reported by Bloomberg.They said the recordings – made through Amazon devices like the Echo speaker – are linked to the customer’s first name, their device’s serial number and even their personal account number.Listened to by voice review employees worldwide, some of the clips feature intimate private moments in customers’ lives – and even record harrowing crimes.Among the clips listened to by the former employees was a recording of a woman singing in the shower.Another recorded the sound of a child screaming – while a third recorded a sexual assault taking place, the employees said.The company has admitted to its customers that thousands of recordings are being analysed by staff and transcribed before feeding them back into the software.As many as 1,000 clips are reviewed by workers in buildings all over the world, many of which do not bear any obvious indication that they are run by Amazon.Among more sinister content the workers have heard, have been a child screaming for help and two instances were they believed they heard a sexual assault taking place.
We got in touch with Amazon through its website chat, and here’s what one staffer sent us.
“We take the security and privacy of our customers’ personal information seriously. We only annotate an extremely small number of interactions from a random set of customers in order to improve the customer experience. For example, this information helps us train our speech recognition and natural language understanding systems, so Alexa can better understand your requests, and ensure the service works well for everyone,” the worker wrote.
“We have strict technical and operational safeguards, and have a zero tolerance policy for the abuse of our system. Employees do not have direct access to information that can identify the person or account as part of this workflow. While all information is treated with high confidentiality and we use multi-factor authentication to restrict access, service encryption, and audits of our control environment to protect it, customers can delete their voice recordings associated with their account at any time.”
Deleting recordings means going into settings and clicking on each one individually, then selecting delete. While that deletes the message from your app, it’s unclear if another copy of it exits on the cloud or elsewhere.
And if anyone who own an Echo, which uses the voice assistant “Alexa,” wants to return their product, they might be out of luck. If the unit is out of the “return window,” there’s no recourse, a staffer there said.

Less than a month after a “bomb cyclone” caused apocalyptic flooding in the central part of the country, another “bomb cyclone” is hitting the exact same area. One meteorologist has called it “a life-threatening storm”, and at this moment over four million people are under blizzard warnings. South Dakota, Minnesota, Nebraska and Kansas are going to get absolutely hammered before the storm finally moves east on Friday. The authorities are warning that this new “bomb cyclone” will cause additional flooding in the region, but at this point we do not know how bad that flooding will be.
The good news is that the ground has been softened up by warmer weather since the last “bomb cyclone”, and that should mean that more of the moisture is absorbed before it flows into the major rivers.
But the bad news is that we are being told that this storm “could break records”. The following comes from the Daily Mail…
A historic blizzard that could break records for April has hit the Great Plains and Upper Midwest.Parts of six states were under blizzard warnings on Wednesday, in an area that included Denver; Cheyenne, Wyoming; Scottsbluff, Nebraska; and Pierre, South Dakota.Early on Wednesday morning, thundersnow was reported in Pierre and surrounding parts of South Dakota, as well as southern Minnesota.
When meteorologists call this a “blizzard”, they aren’t exaggerating one bit.
Some of the snowfall totals that are being forecast seem absolutely crazy. According toCNN, some parts of the Midwest could actually get more than 30 inches of snow…
The Plains could get more than 2 feet of snow by Friday morning, and South Dakota could be the hardest hit, with more than 30 inches possible. High winds are making travel even more treacherous.“Travel will be very difficult to impossible” Wednesday evening into Friday morning, a National Weather Service office in Nebraska said, using language nearly mirrored by offices throughout the region.
Needless to say, 30 inches of snow has the potential to cause a tremendous amount of flooding, especially since it is expected to melt very rapidly.
By noon on Wednesday, some portions of South Dakota had already received 18 inches of snow, and authorities in Minnesota had already responded to 213 auto accidents by Wednesday evening.
If you live in the areas affected by this blizzard, please do not go out unless it is absolutely necessary.
In case you are wondering, yes, this is incredibly unusual.
As CNN has noted, it is quite rare for a “bomb cyclone” to form over the middle part of the United States…
This one comes about four weeks after a similarly powerful system dumped heavy snow and rain on some of the same territory, leaving hundreds of millions of dollars in livestock and crop damage in Nebraska alone, largely through flooding.It’s rare enough to have one form inland, much less two in a month. More typically, bomb cyclones form off the US East Coast in the form of nor’easters.
So the fact that we have now had two in less than a month should tell you that something is up.
As I have repeatedly stressed, our planet is becoming increasingly unstable and global weather patterns are dramatically changing.
What we have seen so far is not the end of the story. Rather, the truth is that we are only in the early chapters of a cataclysmic shift, and there isn’t anything that anyone can do to stop it.
In recent weeks I have written multiple articles about the historic flooding that we have witnessed so far in the middle of the nation. The damage that we have seen up to this point has been absolutely unprecedented, and needless to say this new storm is going to make things even worse…
The coming storm was expected to exacerbate flooding along the Missouri River in areas where dozens of levees were breached in March, exposing communities to future surges.The river was not expected to crest in areas of Nebraska, Iowa and Missouri until between three to five days after the storm.
Since the major rivers are not going to crest for several days, it is probably going to be about a week before we really know how much damage this new storm has caused.
And even once we get past the immediate threat posed by this storm, the truth is that this crisis is very far from over.
The National Weather Service has warned us that there will be “above-average precipitation across much of the Lower 48” for the next few months, and the NOAA just told us that flooding “will continue to be an issue along the Missouri and Mississippi rivers into July”.

We are watching a great tragedy unfold in our nation’s breadbasket, and we should all be praying for the thousands of farmers in the middle of the country that have been financially ruined by all of this flooding. Thousands upon thousands of them will not be able to plant crops at all this year, and many of them will end up leaving the profession for good.
This will affect the level of food production in the United States this year, and this comes at a time when other threats to global food production are becoming extremely serious.
