Currently, the Kougar is working on the final edits. Okay, it may sound like a mere hype or a case of arrogance... but, the truth will out. The more this Big Cat author works on this story, the more she falls in love with it.
That’s not to say it’s every readers cup of ‘erotic romance and shapeshifter’ tea. It’s simply rewarding at a deep level to create a story that feels this way. Certainly, it’s a lot more fun to work on than if moi had become tired or bored with it, and was now slogging through just to get it done. Heaven and yowling forbid!

Since he’ll be out workin’ on ranch business and tendin’ the horses during the day, I’ve got some ridin’ trails we can try out together.”
Zeke considered, checking his gut. “Why don’t you join us for dinner, then follow. Might look better overall.” Ranson dipped his chin in a nod. “We’ll stay in contact, acting like old friends. I’ll keep you updated. I figure you got a stake in knowing what the Secret Circle is plannin’.” Zeke averted his face, murmuring, “Long as my wife is in danger, I got more than a stake. I aim to help take these bastards down.” Ranson remained silent for a small spell. “That’s big doin’s.” Zeke sucked in a breath. “Is that a problem?” Ranson growled, “Could be.”

Okay, I couldn’t resist showing it off. Yesterday, I received my ‘official’ cover art for STALLION OF ASH AND FLAME, my next release from Siren-BookStrand, coming in Fall 2009.
Jinger Heaston is the cover artist and has designed most of my previous cover art. I am continually in awe of Jinger’s creativity and the different works of art she comes up with as the cover artist for Siren-BookStrand.
This time, I got to work with Jinger personally on the final version. Not only is Jinger professional and willing to listen, she’s fun.~~~
Nope, no official release date yet. The excitement mounts... uh, oh... mounts. Trail accomplishes that exceptionally well with his Seneca.~~~~~~

She’d managed to do exactly what she wasn’t supposed to do. There was no going back to rectify it, either. Marina and Grant were far from stupid. They realized she had some sort of psychic ability. Hunching her shoulders a bit, she wished Zeke would return. He’d know how to handle the situation, probably. Not to mention she’d know for certain he was safe. Surreptitiously, she let her mind wander in his direction again. Zeke and Ranson still ‘discussed’ things with the Long Walker. “Still okay?” Marina whispered.
Zeke felt cooperation loosen the Long Walker’s resisting body. “Superior observations,” the man repeated. “Yeah, I got a few. You ain’t gonna like one of them, Ranson. Saw your father speakin’ real private like with Olaf Thorenson shortly before I left town on your trail. Oakes is his messenger boy.” Zeke glanced at Ranson. Nothing flickered in his gaze. “Hear anything important?” Ranson neutrally growled. “Nope. Saw ‘em shake hands on an agreement. Also saw a Secret Circle coin that Oakes dropped when he was fishin’ in his pocket. Retrieved it like it was nothin’ special. Pretended I didn’t see.”

Yep, my most wonderful Big Kittens, excitement streaks down to the Kougar’s paws. She performed a short happy dance, or in her case, bounced up and down. STALLION OF ASH AND FLAME is being published by Siren-BookStrand with an e-pub date of November 2009 and a print date of April 2010.
This is moi’s very first story written only from the male POV. She so hopes readers will enjoy it.
Here’s the rough blurbie ~
Drojovv Zyan of the V’Trailuc Realm is a man-stallion of ash and flame on a mission to save his world’s crucial Earth portal from the fires ravaging the National Forest surrounding it. Pretending to be the tracker, Trail, he settles in a small southeastern Arizona town. When he gets an eyeful of the beautiful ranch owner, Seneca, he stud lusts after the Earth human, a woman he’s not supposed to take as his Mate.
Trail leaves her alone until her brother is in a bad motorcycle accident and she needs a hired hand. Soon both of them are threatened by a whole horde of enemies. At all costs Trail must protect her. His world depends on it, her world depends on it. And his heart comes to depend on it.

Yessiree, the Kougar hears the trumpeting whinnies of triumph from her hero, Trail. His love story with Seneca is about to be shared.
Now moi needs to ponder on how she wants her cover art. And, she may draw a stallion of flame... maybe...

BERLIN (Reuters) - A fox has been unmasked as the mystery thief of more than 100 shoes in the small western German town of Foehren, authorities said Friday.
A forest worker stumbled upon shoes strewn near the fox's den and found a trove of footwear down the hole which had recently been stolen overnight from outside locals' front doors.
"There was everything from ladies' shoes to trainers," said a local police spokesman. "We've found between 110 and 120 so far. It seems a vixen stole them for her cubs to play with."
Although many were missing laces, the shoes were in good condition and their owners were delighted to reclaim them, he said, adding that no reprisals were planned against the culprit.

Sylva stirred once her cowboy lifted the sheets, joining her. Good lord, she loved the muscley lithe strength of his body spooning hers. With ease, he slid his arm beneath her, and snuggled her close, so her butt was cradled by his loins. “Dreamland,” he encouraged, his voice a purr. “I’m half there,” she whispered. “What was the message?” she remembered to ask, her mind mostly lost to the fog of slumber. “Nothing urgent, darling. We’ll talk about it later.” Sylva nodded, her weariness taking over. He nuzzled beneath her hair, pressing a kiss on the top of her head.
Zeke listened to her soft deep breaths. He thanked the Lord above she trusted him enough to fall asleep in his arms. His precious wife, his Sylva. Her fragrance was like a sweet cloud around him, a sultry and violet-delicate cloud. He touched another kiss to her hair, then let his eyes shut. Mentally, he rehearsed how he would protect them, precisely how he would reach for the derringer. It was rare these days for a direct break in, yet a man could never be too prepared. Relishing her lush perfect curves, he smiled and told his cock to ‘whoa’.
