Vote by Mail Chaos: Liberal Group Sent Thousands of Illegal, Incorrect Pre-Filled Absentee Ballot Request Forms to Voters
D.C. based liberal group has been found to be mailing illegal and incorrect pre-filled absentee ballot request forms to voters. The group, Center for Voter Information, is affiliated with the Voter Participation Center started in 2003 by Democrat consultant Page Gardner.

Fairfax County election officials want to alert voters about an inaccurate and potentially misleading mailing from the Center for Voter Information.Be on the lookout for this inaccurate mailing to county voters that sending unsolicited applications to be returned the City Fairfax.
This group is mass mailing pre-filled, absentee ballot applications to county voters without their request—and the mailer includes return envelopes to send the application to the City of Fairfax, not Fairfax County.
This mailing is causing great confusion and concern among voters who have been contacting our office,” said Fairfax County General Registrar Gary Scott. “While the mailing may appear to be from an official government agency, the Fairfax County Office of Elections did not send it.”Statement by CVI on the Virginia fiasco issued Thursday:
The mailing is also confusing voters who have previously submitted absentee ballot applications themselves, Scott added. These voters are worried that their applications were not received, leading them to think they need to apply again.

The Center for Voter Information recently sent vote-by-mail applications to voters in Virginia, encouraging them to safely participate in democracy. The non-profit and non-partisan Center for Voter Information (CVI) announced today that it is mailing blank absentee-ballot request forms to 80,000 North Carolina residents. The mail recipients previously had received request forms that CVI had partially filled out with the recipient’s name and address. CVI is sending out the new mailings voluntarily, to ensure maximum voter participation in the state.In a press release today, the North Carolina State Board of Elections stated that, due to a new state law, civic-engagement groups such as CVI cannot send ballot request forms “with voters’ information already filled out on the forms.” Although CVI had previously shared samples of the mail pieces with state election officials, CVI decided today to send a fresh batch of blank absentee forms to prospective voters, in an abundance of caution.
As a convenience, CVI had filled out the names and addresses of the 80,000 North Carolina residents, as is common and legal in most states. However, the new state law in North Carolina is poorly worded and states that a request for absentee ballots is not valid if the “completed written request is completed, partially or in whole…” CVI believed that it was complying with the new law, and had received written assurances from the state regarding its mailing.
CVI and its partner group, the Voter Participation Center (VPC), mail registration applications to unregistered individuals, and absentee-ballot request forms to registered individuals, along with pre-addressed envelopes to make it easy to bring democracy to the doorstep of so many people. Since 2003, the organizations have helped register more than 4.6 million voters nationally.
As millions of Americans self-isolate because of the coronavirus pandemic, mail-based voter registration and vote-by-mail efforts have never been more important. CVI and VPC run the nation’s largest mail-based voter registration program, and their work is crucial today.

We are aware that voters in multiple localities that received an absentee ballot application were given pre-paid return envelopes addressed to the incorrect registrar’s office.
The Virginia Department of Elections encourages all voters that would like to receive an absentee ballot for the November election to apply electronically on our website www.elections.virginia.gov/voterinformation.
If you have already applied for an absentee ballot, you do not need to submit a new application. The first day that absentee ballots will be mailed is September 18, 2020. Other inquiries regarding this mailing can be directed to the Center for Voter Information.

Footage released by Project Veritas on Thursday shows James O’Keefe III being repeatedly denied the sale of a firearm despite never having been convicted of a felony.
O’Keefe, the founder of Project Veritas, has now filed a lawsuit against the FBI for falsely identifying him as a convicted felon on the NICS (National Instant Criminal Background Check) list.
O’Keefe’s lawyer, Jered Ede Esq., said, “The lawsuit is being filed in the Southern District Court of New York seeking an order requiring the FBI to remove him from this list as required by law under 18 U.S.C. § 925A.”
“Notably, the FBI has not disclosed what information it is relying on to place him on its watch list,” Ede continued.
Employees at the multiple gun stores where O’Keefe tried to purchase firearms believe he is likely being singled out by the federal government because of his journalism.
“I don’t know. I don’t know what. I hope it’s not retaliating against me because of our journalism,” he told a pair of gun shop workers.
“I’m probably sure it is,” one man replied.
An employee agreed, saying, “I bet you, it is. And you probably have a lawsuit on your hands.”
A man who owns another gun shop O’Keefe went to said, “They don’t like you. You’re in the newspaper business, man,” after the background check was denied.
“I’d go after ’em,” the store owner added. “And I’ll tell ya if it infringes off your work. Yeah. Get a lawyer. File a complaint against the FBI.”

Liberal assistant professor takes responsibility for fake Twitter account
n Arizona State University professor who documented her battle against COVID-19 on Twitter and subsequently died from the disease was found never to have existed.
In an elaborate cat-fishing hoax, Twitter user @Sciencing_Bi claimed to be an Indigenous pro-LGBTQ professor who was a member of the Hopi Native American tribe and was forced to teach during the coronavirus outbreak.

For months, @sciencing_bi had tweeted about their apparent battle with COVID-19, and being forced to teach in-person at Arizona State University in April. Early last week, @sciencing_bi tweeted about needing help fighting COVID misinformation on a COVID survivor Facebook group. The account tweeted extensively about social justice, the professor’s Indigenous heritage as a member of the Hopi tribe, the LGBTQ experience in academia, and their battle with COVID-19.
Despite being fake, the account had gained notoriety among science-minded blue checkmarks on Twitter.
The account went back to 2016 and frequently mentioned former Vanderbilt University assistant professor of neurology BethAnn McLaughlin, as noted by the New York Times:
Since 2016, it has posted often about issues around social justice in the sciences, with a focus on activism and research about sexual harassment.
It was also active in the career of Ms. McLaughlin, a neuroscientist. (News of the relationship between the Twitter accounts was reported by Heavy.com, Science and the Chronicle of Higher Education.) It was key in promoting a petition that called for Ms. McLaughlin to be given tenure at Vanderbilt University. She was not given tenure in 2017, a decision she said was influenced by her having testified against a former Vanderbilt professor accused of sexual harassment. Her effort to reverse that decision was unsuccessful in 2019, and she left the university that summer.
On one occasion, the account responded to someone asking Ms. McLaughlin for information about Vanderbilt with extensive details about the university’s salary structure.
But the fictional professor’s battle with COVID took a turn for the worse on July 31, when McLaughlin had the misfortune of informing everyone about @Sciencing_Bi’s death.
“Sad to report @Sciencing_Bi died from COVID this evening,” McLaughlin reported on Twitter last Friday.

A woman who says she has a medical conditions that makes it unsafe for her to wear a mask was tossed out of a Mom’s Organic Market in Virginia
A Hispanic woman shopping in a Virginia Mom’s Organic Market location recorded a confrontation with a store clerk who told her, regardless of any medical conditions that may preclude her from wearing a face mask due to health reasons, she would not be served at the store unless she wore one.
In a tense exchange between a man identified as store manager Zach and a woman identified by her husband as Mrs. Prudencio, showing the man refuse to offer the woman service and threaten to call the police as she attempts to explain that she is unable to wear a mask due to health issues.
“I already told you, I spoke with your corporate,” said Prudencio. “Your policy says that I can pay with a credit and debit card. You guys don’t have to touch my cash. You are discriminating against me.”
Prudencio added that, not wanting to provoke a confrontation, she previously called “corporate” and was told by a receptionist that she should “explain what the [Virginia] mandate says.” In an emotional tone, Prudencio suggested, “You’re the manager, you can contact somebody” to confirm this policy.
Instead, the manager told Prudencio “You’re not going to pay for that stuff while you’re here,” and repeatedly told her to leave the premises.
At one point, Prudencio explained that she shopped at the store days prior and was not asked to leave for not wearing a mask, eventually remarking “What is the problem with you people?”
The manager appeared to construe this as a racial insult, and told Prudencio “Now that’s being offensive, now you need to leave.”
“You started it,” said Prudencio. “You told me that I cannot shop because I have a medical condition.”
Eventually, Prudencio attempted to argue that she had already touched the groceries in her cart, potentially covering them with COVID-19 in the process of shopping while unmasked, and suggested it did not make sense to force her to leave without purchasing the groceries if public health was the manager’s concern.
As the argument continued, the manager eventually deferred to the World Health Organization, and appeared believe it was a law enforcement body in the United States capable of punishing his business for serving unmasked Virginians.
“You know what? If the World Health Organization, if the health department were to come in and see people walking around, in line without a mask, we’d get in trouble,” said the manager.
Again, the woman tried to explain that she is medically exempt from the Virginia mask mandate, and her infant child, younger than 9, is exempt from the mandate at the parents’ discretion.
Eventually, the manager blocked the shopping cart’s path, held his identity badge up for Prudencio to film, and demanded she leave the store.
In a Facebook post explaining the altercation, William Prudencio says he and his wife later contacted the store’s corporate offices, and received a response from Scott Nash, the founder and CEO of Mom’s Organic Market.
Nash allegedly told Prudencio that if he or his wife return to any of his stores, “we will call the police.” Nash added, “We know who you are and have notified them.”
“Scott [Nash] doesn’t care to address the discrimination against my wife and baby,” wrote Prudencio. “Instead he threatened me with police action.”
National File attempted to contact the Mom’s Organic Market corporate office and did not receive an immediate response. A call to the store manager Zach was not immediately returned.

Mayor Bill de Blasio has announced that he will set up COVID checkpoints around New York City in an attempt to catch anyone who flouts their 14 day quarantine order.
Anyone arriving in NYC from 34 states and Puerto Rico is subject to a strict 14 day stay at home order and faces large fines if they violate the rule.
That will now be enforced with manned coronavirus checkpoints where those caught violating their quarantine will be penalized.

DeBlasio announced a new travel crackdown, checkpoints for travelers to New York City and up to $10,000 fines to those who break his new quarantine rules.

Out-of-state travelers could face up to $10,000 in fines if they break New York City’s two-week quarantine rule and checkpoints will be set up at entry points into the city, Mayor Bill de Blasio announced Wednesday.Currently, travelers from 35 high-risk infection states and Puerto Rico must quarantine for 14 days. Those flying into New York airports are also required to fill out a special travel form — or face a $2,000 fine.
The new crackdown includes random checkpoints at major bridge and tunnel crossings and up to $10,000 fines for those caught breaking quarantine.
“The idea is we don’t want to penalize people,” de Blasio said at his daily press briefing. “We want to educate them, we want to make sure they’re following the rules.”Tucker Carlson destroyed the failed mayor and New York governor’s policies.
