Sunday into Monday Thanksgiving greetings, my slenderific but very curvaceous Big Beautiful Cats... the chilly winds swept in last night and it stayed cold on the tame prairie instead of warming up to the temps predicted... a light mist rain is falling now, with possible rain in the forecast... gosh almighty, no, this Big Cat has no clue how to adapt to these times... it’s a wing and a prayer, baby... and the Kougaress only wishes she had wings... still, she will continue doing the best she can in this upside down, run-by-psychopaths-world. Love, hugs and kisses to All!

Oh, Kittens, the Kougar is closing in on polishing SANTA BABY, SEVERAL STARS AWAY... she is excited about the project and so hopes it will go smoothly. Now if only she could successfully format for Indie publishing. *IF* being the operative word here. Yeee-owls!

Woot! It sounds like you'll be ready to publish Santa baby very soon!
So, question from the uninformed here :), but do you have to create all of the different copies of the story to upload to the site? ie, pdf, html, prc...etc? Or do you format one copy and the place you're selling it through set up the appropriate type?
As I understand it, it depends. On Smashword, you just upload on doc and their meatgrinder thingie creates all the formats, or whatever you designate.
If you upload to Kindle, then 'one' doc or mobi doc or something that is Kindle friendly... whatever...
Now on ARE you have to upload ALL the different formats you want to sell. You can only offer a PDF format, though.
I haven't checked out BookStrand, or the other sites that also sell Indie ebooks...

Wow, that's an eye crosser! Have you figured out how to create all of those formats?
Nope. I have some instructions. And I purchased a Kindle book on formatting by one of the Indie authors. Who knows? Maybe I can stumble through. But I wanted to get Santa Baby polished first, then try to figure out formatting. I was going to have it done. However, I don't think the timing would work out, as this point.
