Late evening purrs, my splendiferous and spunky Felines... ooooh, a lovely cool day on the tame prairie... meowsa, summer has temporarily vanished, but will probably return with a vengeance... unless, we’re in the beginning stages of an ice age.... ~shudder... brrrrrs~ Krazy Kat Obsession ~ ever go nutso-wild looking for something you know is there, but can’t find? Every so often moi jumps on the obsession train and takes a long intense, and most likely, very stupid ride. Except that she was looking for this one document on her hard drive she couldn’t find because... well, she didn’t identify it except she knew it was one of her western WIPs.... and she has several, probably about ten... but, on this one she’d gathered together some character names... okay, to clarify, the Kougar is working on new a secret WIP... one she hasn’t yowled a word about yet... and she needed just the right names for the two heroes... that’s all you get... finally, after probably about four to five hours of searching and learning about many of the lurking waiting WIPs... that was helpful to this Big Cat author’s memory... yep, the cyber puzzle pieces fell together and she found it... or, ended up figuring out which one it was... because, yes, she’d opened it, but wasn’t astute enough to see it was the one she wanted... don’t ask why... except... oh, never mind!... however, the name of the file is Desperado Christmas... a story she’d like to pen, but it’s not the ‘secret’ story. ~~~

Big Cat snark and snub ~ You can’t make this stuff up. At least, this Big Cat author can’t. Yeah, Mr. Prince ‘Idiot Globalist’ Charles is telling us little peasants we should no longer wash our clothes. Oh, we’re supposed to wear dirty clothes and underwear... get this, lined with colloidal silver. Well, the Kougaress is all for the healing benefits of colloidal silver and uses it often. However, nope, she’s not wearing no DIRTY SOILED UNDERWEAR!!! And, if she ever comes across this *royal pain in the butt with a reptilian demon brain*, she won’t be bowing or scraping. Unless, it’s a ruse. Gee, there really was a good use for guillotines. And Diana is in a far better place. ~~~~~~

Late Autumn greetings, my frisky and feisty KitKats... at times, the Kougaress is pretty darn stupid. Somehow, she wrestled and pulled a huge heavy rubber mat from her van, through the pantry room, past obstacles galore and finally into the kitchen where she wanted it placed. Concrete floors are no fun on the footy-paws or during the winter.
Yep and yowl, it was stupid enough to attempt it in the first place, as the guy at the store said, usually it takes two men to load them... well, this Big Cat is ridiculously stubborn and definitely stupid at times. Even thinking she could somehow manage it was mind dip into the ever-present waters of stupidity..
Still, sure, it was sheer effing hell to git ‘er done, especially with a leg that still isn’t fully healed. But... moi prevailed. Truthfully, she doesn’t even know how. Maybe, it was the will to get it done.
Now for the other one... one of these days...~~~
Dropping the hammer of disclosure... in the UFO research community there’s been lots of rumblings recently, that DISCLOSURE by the government is on the verge of happening. Finally! That is, a bit of what’s already been proven over and over by Stephen Greer and many other prominent UFO researchers, as far as alien visitors, etc. ~ is about to be officially announced by the US government.
Okay, the Vatican is making noises about studying our cosmic brethren, even welcoming them with open spiritual arms. Some, also, point to the remake of the move V as another indicator, given it’s been proven the CIA and government use the TV and movie industry to do their bidding. For one example among many, script ideas were delivered by the CIA to the writers of the X-Files... yeah, like that’s a big meow surprise to anyone who watched the show like moi. It was kinda obvious at the time. What wasn’t obvious to this Big Cat fan was just deep that black-operations well went.
Other respected and well known researchers offer an intelligent analysis of why DISCLOSURE is about to occur, that is hard to refute, including the fact that so many other countries have already released their UFO files... France, Britain, Brazil, to name the most high profile countries.
Okay... roaring truth... this Big Cat Believer doesn’t give a tuna fish sandwich, if the government suddenly makes the Big Disclosure announcement that *they’re here*, or they’re flying the skies... or whatever they ‘Big Brother’ deign to let us supposedly know about.
At this point in time, it is a mute point... and of no real value... EXCEPT as a huge ole distraction. Hey, hey, the world is falling apart at every seam... but, look! Look! They’re here!
Except as a way to put more fear into all of us, while saying *hey, there’s no problem, they’re friendly or they mean us no harm* ~ Or! The other tactic. Independence Day *no, it ain’t the movie* ~ It’s here! Or, it could be here.
We need more taxes to pay for defensive systems. We need global ID cards, so we know you’re not the bad guy aliens. We need... we need... we’re a black sucking hole and we need... that will be the mantra. For your safety, we need.
Or! Just let us take over and there will be all sorts of new and marvelous technology. There will be healing for everyone. Yay! Happy Days are here, courtesy of our galactic friends.

Blue Star Cluster by BizleyArtIt‘s an ELEVEN DAY as the Kougar pens this post, my darling-est Big Felines. November is the *eleventh* month. And, 2009 breaks down in numerology to an ELEVEN.
Since 11 is considered a master number, and is now considered by many to be a part of the Awakening going on currently in our world ~ many folks see 11:11 or 1:11 often ~ this day is likely pivotal in ways that won’t become clear until a decade has passed.
Or, our world teeters. Actually, there are so many brinks we’re teetering on as a global community it not only boggles the mind, it becomes utterly unbearable to contemplate.
The other side of this pivotal day... ELEVEN breaks down to a TWO in numerology. Or, it’s also TWO, TWO, TWO... Yes, there is the potential for LOVE, LOVE, LOVE... Two is the number of love, of joining together in a partnership that brings heaven to Earth. This is the Age of Aquarius.
However, enlightenment is a choice. Bringing heaven to Earth is a choice, one we individually make and one that is made by all of humanity in the manner suggested by the book, Aquarian Conspiracy.
What most of us hunger for, a loving global community, will be used against us by those powerful few who actually want the opposite. Seeing through their evil as they present their supposed solutions is key, that is, if we want to establish a true community of love and compassion.~~~

Would you consider this being compatible? It feels darn good to me.” Sylva rolled her eyes.
Zeke slid his arm farther around his delectable woman, then lightly ticked her belly. “What are you doing?” she complained. Grabbing his hand, she attempted to lift his fingers away. Wriggling sensuously, she fought his hold. Zeke kept her trapped in his embrace and continued gently tickling her. “You bad cowboy. I should get a pair of spurs, ride you and teach you who’s boss.” Tickling her seriously now, Zeke growled, “I’m the boss.” His wife twisted, fighting him harder. “Yeah, that’s what I thought!” she defied. “A whip and spurs,” she snapped. Playfully, Zeke seized her between his legs.

'Intentional' Rain
9/2/09-- The day following the intention experiment [suggested in this show - Coast to Coast am] to cause rain covering the fires in Southern California, we were drenched. Redlands is 10 to 15 minutes from the fires in Yucaipa. The rain started out in the mountains at the fire locations and proceeded to drench Redlands. It has not rained here for many months. We should do some more experiments of the intention technique. It was the coolest thing I have seen in quite a while. There was also tremendous lighting and thunder. The thunder was so loud that it set off car alarms twice.

Dono unlocked his body and set the plate down with slow deliberation. He and Dash glanced at each other, both of their gazes asking, what now?
“You’re our wife, Kylie. Branding you lets everyone know that.” Dono scooted to the edge of the couch, observing her closely.
Folding her arms, she sank against the back of the couch and tilted her chin stubbornly. “Okay, what if I don’t want to be your wife in a year?”
Dash audibly gasped, then clamped his lips shut. He didn’t move, his fists clenched.
Everything inside Dono rioted against her words. “A year’s a long time, sweetheart.”

To her eye, they looked almost toy-like. Though, by the way Zeke’s sister and her husband gripped them, aiming toward the entrance, Sylva knew different. It had happened so fast, she’d been scared out of her mind, at first, thinking Zeke and Ranson were drawing on each other. From her vantage point, the three other people dining had drawn their weapons, and a man in a cook’s apron moved through the swinging doors, his rifle pointed. She heard the door open.
Zeke eased his body to a superior advantage as the door swung open. Once his squinty gaze swept the room, the Long Walker slowly removed his hand from the butt of his sidearm. Even more slowly, he raised his palm in a gesture of backing off. “Sorry, folks,” he growled, “looks like I’m not wanted here.” Zeke heard the owner move forward and saw the rifle barrel in his peripheral vision “Depends. If you’re here peacefully, you’re welcome. If not, keep on going out the door. Keep on going out of town. Cause the Sheriff is gonna know right quick.”

Yes, my loveliest KitKats, the Kougar has become delightfully spoiled by the sunsets on her tame prairie. They seem like gifts from the Divine. The luminous wash of colors from her panorama view range from sheer tints to flaming neon. In a world of craziness and ever-increasing insanity, the Kougar’s very being is indeed, grateful.
She is also grateful for the small bounty of her tiny garden. Tomatoes, monster cucumbers, finally some green peppers, jalapeno peppers and her adorable baby pumpkins, which have taken over part of the fence.

He caught her waist, so fast it stunned her briefly. There was no way to fight his Titan-muscled arm, either. “What?” she demanded.
“Not too long, darlin’, or I’m coming in after you. I like you sittin’ on my lap.”
Defiance flared hotly inside her. “It takes as long as it takes.”
Drawing her backwards, he nuzzled behind her ear, near her lobe. Sensually, he stroked his nose along upwards and Kylie shivered inside, adoring what he did to her. “Not too long,” he rasped. Lazily he nibbled down the side of her neck, then slowly removed his arm.

She’d always had a yen to live life to the fullest. She’d even given it her best shot. Yet, somehow she’d always fallen short, no matter how many times she’d picked herself up, dusted herself off. Yep, life on her Earth was out of kilter.
Zeke eyed the frothy pink frock that looked as if a breeze could carry it away. His Sylva would look divine wearing it. Subtly, he nodded to Bethanne and she placed it on a separate hook. “I believe this is the white lacy one that caught your fancy, Mr. Vintorr.” With a proud smile Bethanne held up the gossamer floating frock. “This is one of Victoria’s designs. I believe it would fit your wife perfectly, if I’m any judge.” Zeke grinned to himself at Bethanne’s pretend modesty. She had the best eye he knew for what fit a woman’s figure.

One reason I find your heroines so appealing is because they represent their times in the sense that they overcome and live, not merely exist. And they are tough, physically and mentally, or they learn to be.
Thanks for sharing Ahhotpe. She's a wonderful anti-heroine! And she's so Egyptian. You must have lived during that time.
As women why shouldn't we write what we know... ourselves.
I have to agree with Linda. It's really tiresome when the focus of a story or a movie is solely on the man or men... which occurs all too often, imho.
Oh, big deal, who cares about fiction that constantly makes the male sex the center of the universe. Why isn't woman and man, as portrayed together, the center of their universe?

Don't say we didn't warn you: Powerful storms crossed the central and northeastern US as Hurricane Bill became an 'extremely dangerous' storm in the South Atlantic. So far this year, the US tornado season has been relatively mild, but it threatened to increase in intensity today as powerful storms struck from Colorado to New York.New York's Central Park lost over a hundred trees to 80 MPH winds, one of the strongest storms to strike the park in years. Meanwhile, Hurricane Bill increased in strength to a Category 4 storm and was expected to strengthen further as it continues to move north and west toward the US East Coast.
Hurricane Bill has reached Category 4 on the Saffir-Simpson scale. Category 4 hurricanes generate winds of 133-155 mph, and are described as extremely dangerous storms capable of causing devastating damage. The storm could cause dangerous rip tides all along the US east coast, and is expected to make landfall as a much weakened Category 2 or 3 storm in Newfoundland next week. However, if it turns into the Caribbean or strikes the southeastern US, it could evolve into a catastrophic storm.~~~

It will take her time to get over you, Zeke.”
Zeke flashed a grin of appreciation, only a small one. Stanley’s fist was as hard as the anvil he used for his black-smithing. “You know I never encouraged Miss Sally.” Bethhanne fluttered her hand dismissively. “Oh, I know. Everyone knows that. But when a woman gets a love struck eye at that age, she can’t see past it often. Was there something special you and your bride were looking for?” Zeke waved his arm. “Everything you have is special. There’s a pink frock my Sylva took a liking to. I saw a white lacy one I want her wearin’, also.”

Ooooo, my Big Beautiful Cats, it’s stormy-rainy on the tame prairie... round after round of rain and storms. There were some humongous cracks of thunder, the kind that rips the fabric of the sky apart. And moi saw a news story about tornadoes up in Minneapolis. The Kougar’s babie doggies aren’t thrilled about being put outside between the bouts of rain... thunder rumbling nastily now...~~~
From what the Kougaress can tell, the e-swindling of ebooks is an ever-increasing business. Not only that, it seems to have taken a turn into downright meanness and utter disrespect for the author, her publisher and the author’s creativity... not to mention the hours and hours of hard, devoted work we authors go through just to make our stories the best we can.
This isn’t easy peasy, crank out a story stuff. This is our heart, our soul, our life experience we’re putting down on page after page. It’s lots of research. It’s staring at one word or one paragraph for half an hour sometimes, until our muse finally comes to aid us. It’s hours and hours and days and days and months and months of writing.
If you have a job, how would you feel if you weren’t paid. Worse, what if the service you performed was so disrespected you weren’t provided with any compensation whatsoever, even though, in truth, you’d done a good job.
Every time an authors work is stolen, it means she isn’t paid. It means she goes without. It means she may not be able to sustain a career as an author. Worse, it’s a strike at her soul, a swinging blade that cuts into her very being and says ‘your worthless’ to us. We have the right to steal from you. We have the right to take what you’ve nurtured and grown and leave you to starve.

She blinked. “What is it?” Her words charged at him like a ram.
We’re going to brand you. Dillon compressed his lips. Even though it was his nature to run straight at life, now was not the moment to tell her. “Let me show you first. Then I’ll explain.”
Tilting her head, she eyed him suspiciously. “What happens if I refuse?”
“We’ll make it so pleasurable you won’t refuse.” Dillon intensely felt the promise of his own words.
“I think my stomach is somersaulting,” she murmured.

I arrived with nothing but the clothes on my back.” Sally blinked her big blue eyes, but didn’t indicate she was leaving. “While my husband may enjoy me in the nude I doubt it would be appropriate for me to walk around town that way. You do enjoy me, don’t you?”
Zeke didn’t know whether to bust out laughing, a hand over his gut, or play along with his Sylva. “Darlin’, I enjoy every sweet nekkid inch of you.” Sally pointed at his wife, still in her own fantasy trance. “Where’d you get them purty duds, then? If yer not from around here?” Turning toward him, his bride’s gaze questioned him about their latest challenge. “Where did you get these purty duds, cowboy?” At the rapid tinkling of a bell, they all gazed at Bethanne, the proprietor. “He didn’t purchase that outfit here. However, I surely would like his business now.”

It’s a good thing, my Big Beautiful Cats, except for the Kougar’s plaguing allergies. Still, moi wouldn’t have it any other way. She adores the rain and what it does for Mother Earth.

Yep, the Kougar is writing away on BRANDED BY THE TEXANS and havin’ a western-good time... with everything leading up to the ‘branded’ scene.

“Now, we got a fourth.” Dono set the table in the center of the room. “If you play, Kylie.”
“Depends on the game. You all probably play poker. I’m lousy at it.”
None of them spoke, the silence nearly deafening.
“Strip poker,” Dash crowed, then moved to the table and set the tray down.
“In that case, I’m wearing three times as many clothes. No, at least, four times.” Kylie’s voice dared any of them to make her do otherwise.
Dillon chuckled to himself as he eased her onto the floor, then stood behind her.
“You can wear as many clothes as you want, sweetheart.” Dono busied himself placing the chairs.
“Given your sweet-ass luck at cards, you would say that,” Dash fired back. Quickly, he set out the plates, then the glasses of milk while Dono shot a frown at him.
Pivoting, Dash presented a formal posture. “May I seat you, Princess Kylie?”
She hesitated a fraction of an instant before walking toward Dash. “You may, handsome cowboy Prince.”
The sway of her hips trapped Dillon’s gaze and he knew why men fist-pummeled each other over a woman. Hell, what was he going to do? Start fighting his brothers out in the barn over her, after he’d reprimanded them.

Zeke slowly palmed his woman’s shoulders drawing her close for a moment. Their breaths mingled before he brought her beside him, escorting her into Bethanne’s Finest Women’s Wear. Once inside, the familiar fragrance of honeyed vanilla surrounded them. Before he could think, Zeke froze. Sally Hansen, her blonde pigtails askew as usual, stood at a round of picnic frocks. The teenager had done everything but strip off her clothes in front of him to get his lustful attention and entice him into courtship. He’d never laid a finger on her, except dragging her back to wherever she’d tied her horse.

How silly to think Kitchens can't be romantic places. If a couple is preparing food together that can be utterly romantic and a wonderful way to learn about each other.
I've used the kitchen in one of my books and just used it in a scene. The heroine doesn't know much about the hero, but because of circumstance they're together at his ranch. How people relate to each other over food and caring for each other is often key to the development of their love for each other.

To this day how Egypt came into being has never been explained... at least, not in the scientific community. Heck, no one can build another Great Pyramid, yet.
Why? Keep women in the dark about their truest natures? It’s all about the power, the evil use of power. No man, no group of men could ever rule the world without the consent of women.
A woman or women kept in a state of ‘being battered’ can’t or won’t realize she has this power, the power to decide who governs. During this Age of Aquarius women will know they own the real power, the power of ‘pouring out the Aquarian waters’ of good.

Grinning, Zeke nodded again, then moved them toward her dressing room. “Come on, let’s take a gander at a couple of evening outfits. It’s wild and woolly wear for the fashion conscious cowgirl, according to my sister.”

Yes, the Kougar has yowled about this topic before ~ the grand overwhelming passion between a couple ~ the kind that can’t be ignored, ever ~ despite whatever the heroine and hero are experiencing or the trials and tribulations they are enduring in their lives.
Such grand passion happens. Sometimes love lags behind. Sometimes falling in love leads the way.
Perhaps, it takes an epic story for an author to depict this level of passion as many of the 80's historical romance novels were in length. Or does it?
Being a Kitten authoress who adores passion between a woman and man, the Kougar does her best to pen it in her stories, regardless of the length.
When the so-called Bodice Ripper romances hit the romance reading scene, they were devoured and reviled by many. However, bodice ripping became quite the thing as erotic titillation in other forms of entertainment like the movies. What was decried became standard fare, as happens many times. This was ultimately depicted in comic skits, one in an English sitcom particularly stands out in moi’s memory.
Of course, the downside, instead of a passionate erotic act that occurs during those grand overwhelming moments, bodice ripping became ‘commonized’ and supposedly had its day. Not that the ripping of clothing isn’t still depicted, it certainly is and the Kougar will certainly rend a few garments for the sake of fierce and savage passion. You can stretch and bet your claws on that one.

Fascinating blog on many levels.
I can speak to the bodice rippers before the 90s. I read them. While there were elements in the stories that weren't quite right as far as a woman's sexuality... course, it depends on where in the journey you are... overall, they were adventurous in sexuality and in women becoming more aware of their true power.
Also, compared to today's reads, they had elements that were more truthful, in terms of passion, eroticism and sexuality, than what is considered correct or politically correct now. Sadly, IMO, we've lost ways of passion and eroticism that are key to many relationships between women and men.
I rarely read stories where there's real sweep you off your feet passion. There may be sweep you off your feet kinky sex and desire... and nothing wrong with that... but that's different than a grand overwhelming passion.

Thinking his squad were Union raiders, at first, they’d screamed their lungs out, throwing anything they could get their hands on. Unwilling to be taken prisoner without a fight, the women had blasted the raiders, using the last of their ammo.
The relief he’d seen on their collective faces was as clear now as it was then. Kylie must have been through a similar horror.

Part 217 ~Sylva tested the wand on her arm. Nope, nothing. However, when she tried it on her underarm, it worked like a charm. “Wow,” she whispered to the wand. “You need a safe place to stay.” She placed it in the corner of the shelf, closest to the tub. Surveying her surroundings slowly, Sylva appreciated the paradise of pink. “I guess, I need a safe place to stay, too. Especially, if my ‘psychic pedigree’ is discovered.” Walking to the only closet-like door, she opened it. Illumination showed off several dressing gowns. “Since I don’t have a clue what to put on.”
Zeke sent his thanks and the reception invitation to Diego Hawke, a long-time buddy of his, since the days of their rodeo competitions together as kids. His Messager not forthcoming with any other replies, he slipped it back into his pocket, pacing. It was appearin’ like he needed a face-to-face with Ranson to find out the truth. Ordinarily, that would suit him fine. Now, he had his precious Sylva to protect. At the first tone, Zeke jerked the device out again, wishing it was his sidearm. He itched to shoot his way through the situation. Bang! Bang! And all’s well.
