Fish Tales restaurant in Ocean City, Maryland will use bumper tables to keep patrons six feet apart once it begins to allow in-person dining.
This might be the stupidest thing we’ve seen yet.
The Salisbury Daily Times reported:
It’s the creative concept that an Ocean City restaurant unveiled over the weekend to keep patrons at least six feet apart once the governor gives the OK for restaurants and bars to reopen.Shaped like oversized inner tubes, the tables were custom made for Fish Tales, where employees rolled them out of a large box truck for their Facebook live debut over the weekend.“It’s like a bumper boat, but it’s actually a table,” owner Shawn Harmon said of the design, which was developed by Revolution Event Design and Production in Baltimore.A customer will stand in the center of the circular table surrounded by a rubber barrier that keeps them safely separated from other patrons in accordance with social distancing guidelines. The tables sit on wheels that allow them to stay mobile.
The 6 feet of ‘social distancing’ doesn’t work because the Coronavirus sits on surfaces.
So this restaurant will place people in germ-infested bumper tables instead of just seating them at regular tables.

An Oregon business owner who reopened earlier this month in defiance of Democrat Gov. Kate Brown’s lockdown order says she was paid a visit from the state’s child protective services.
Standing by her decision to reopen last week, Glamour Salon owner Lindsey Graham was issued a fine of $14,000 by the state’s Occupational Safety Health division (OSHA) for daring to generate revenue during the pandemic that has decimated small businesses.
“I’m risking going to jail to do it. That’s how important it is to my family,” Graham told KPTV in early May. “I’m deciding that it’s more important for me to feed my family and pay the bills that are going to keep our home and our family alive than take the risk to remain being shut down for an undisclosed amount of time.”
She says the fine will be assessed next week and she’ll have three days to close or face additional fines.
To make matters worse, Graham says her children were targeted by the state after she vowed to open her salon.
“If you can possibly believe this, on May 7 Child Protective Services showed up at my home. They questioned my husband and I, they questioned my child without me present, they searched our home,” Graham said at a press conference late last week. “And I’ve never expected such a violent, aggressive, vindictive thing could have ever been done to me or my family.”
On Friday, Graham released a statement through her GoFundMe donation page indicating she planned to hire a lawyer and fight the fine.
“I will be FIGHTING this citation and fighting their case. I’m retaining my attorney to take this to court!!!! The government cannot find their own loopholes to punish me for trying to earn a living,” Graham wrote, in a plea for donations.
According to Willamette Week, salons in “low-risk” areas in Oregon were allowed to reopen on May 15, however CNN reports Marion County, where Glamour Salon is located, was not approved.
In an interesting turn of events, a county circuit judge in Oregon tossed out Gov. Brown’s lockdown restrictions Monday, “saying she didn’t seek the Legislature’s approval to extend the stay-at-home orders beyond a 28-day limit, reports the Associated Press.
In a seven-page opinion, [Judge Matthew] Shirtcliff wrote that the damage to Oregonians and their livelihood was greater than the dangers presented by the coronavirus. He also noted that other businesses deemed essential, such as grocery stores, had been allowed to remain open even with large numbers of people present and have relied on masks, social distancing and other measures to protect the public.
“The governor’s orders are not required for public safety when plaintiffs can continue to utilize social distancing and safety protocols at larger gatherings involving spiritual worship,” he wrote.
Gov. Brown vowed to take the fight up to the state’s supreme court.
“The science behind these executive orders hasn’t changed one bit. Ongoing physical distancing, staying home as much as possible, and wearing face coverings will save lives across Oregon,” Brown said Monday.

Registered Nurse Danika Bueno recently uploaded a YouTube video explaining why wearing a face mask for long periods can be harmful to the body.
Bueno begins the video by detailing how patients with respiratory alkalosis are instructed to breathe into a paper bag in order to fix the bloodstream’s PH balance.
Breathing into a paper bag is close to the same thing as wearing a face mask in that it alters the wearer’s PH balance.
Bueno also notes that most masks people are wearing are highly ineffective against viruses.
In fact, she claims those who wear masks frequently are making themselves more prone to infection by making their bodies acidotic and by touching their faces more often than those who don’t wear masks.

President Donald Trump has vowed to break the “radical left’s” apparent control of social media platforms. Earlier, the president thanked his “keyboard warriors” for their support, as they accused the tech firms of censorship.
“The Radical Left is in total command & control of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Google,” Trump tweeted on Saturday. “The Administration is working to remedy this illegal situation. Stay tuned, and send names & events.”
Trump was replying directly to Michelle Malkin, a controversial right-wing pundit and opponent of Big Tech censorship. When Trump gave a shout-out to his legions of online supporters on Friday – referring to them as his “keyboard warriors” – Malkin said that right-wingers are still being “ruthlessly purged from the internet,” and asked that the president “maybe do something before it’s too late?”
Conservatives have long maintained that Silicon Valley firms have it in for them. The ‘deplatforming’ of prominent conservative figures like InfoWars host Alex Jones and ‘Proud Boys’ founder Gavin McInnes substantiate their claims of bias, as do leaks, reports, and admissions revealing a left-wingbias among executives at Google, Twitter, and Facebook.
These same arguments have been made by fringe leftists too, who accuse the platforms of censoring anything that goes against the status quo, regardless of partisan politics.
Trump, perhaps understandably, has focused on the conservative complaints. However, Saturday’s tweet is not the first time he’s asked for names and promised action. Before inviting a crowd of right-wing and alternative social media personalities to the White House for a summit last year, Trump asked the public to submit their own stories of bias and discrimination to a White House tips website. A month later, his administration was reportedly mulling an executive order against online censorship, but that order never materialized.
Trump’s administration has moved against the Silicon Valley behemoths in other ways though. According to Attorney General William Barr, the Justice Department has been running an antitrust investigation into Google since last year. The Wall Street Journal reported on Friday that charges may be filed against the company as early as this summer.
A group of state attorneys general are pursuing a similar investigation into Google, which controls 90 percent of the world’s web searches. Additionally, Facebook and Amazon are both being investigated by the Federal Trade Commission, Congress, and state attorneys general.
These investigations, however, are not aimed at the platform’s free-speech policies, but their alleged monopolistic behavior. On free speech, Trump has spoken loudly, but as of yet has taken little concrete action.
