Police say ‘driver had been wearing an N95 mask inside the vehicle for several hours’
A driver in Lincoln Park, New Jersey wrecked their car after the N95 mask they were wearing cut off their oxygen supply to the point they passed out and hit a telephone pole.
The driver, who remains unidentified, wore the mask for several hours before the incident and had been breathing in too much carbon dioxide and not enough oxygen, according to a Lincoln Park Police statement on Facebook.
While the department maintained citizens should continue wearing masks when in public, they did admit that “in most cases, the wearing of this type of mask while operating a vehicle with no other occupants is unnecessary.”

A mother in the UK was named and shamed on Facebook because she failed to participate in the weekly ‘clap for the NHS’.
Every Tuesday at 8pm in the United Kingdom, people emerge from their homes to applaud health workers for their role in fighting coronavirus.
The event has become a massive nationwide spectacle, with people cheering, banging pots and pans and even setting off fireworks.
However, when one woman was unable to take part, she was accused of “showing the street up.”
The mother described how she had a difficult time getting her young son to sleep and fell asleep herself before 8pm.
“A post went on our community Facebook group actually naming and shaming me. I was mortified,” she wrote on Mumsnet.

J from Laredo, Texas joins Owen Shroyer on Infowars’ War Room to describe his experience with tyrannical police that issued $4,000 tickets to him and his friends for washing their cars after curfew.

Father slams officers for 'disgusting bullying'

A Canadian teen was slapped with a large fine for unwittingly ‘violating lockdown orders’ while shooting basketball hoops alone in a park, according to reports.
William Vogelsang, 17, was by himself on a basketball court at Eva James Memorial Community Centre in Ottawa when he was approached by two ‘bylaw officers’ who told him he was not allowed to be there, according to the CBC.
“And I was like, ‘Oh, I’m sorry about that, I’ll be leaving,'” Vogelsang says he told the officers.
However, they asserted he must be cited and fined over $700 Canadian dollars (~$500 USD).
“I’ve never gotten in trouble like that before,” Vogelsang said.
“It was a big incident. Everyone was walking past with their with dogs. I was getting nervous and embarrassed.”
The officers reportedly demanded identification, which Vogelsang said could be produced by his mother via text or in person.
“Instead, the officers chose to confirm his identity by calling Ottawa police, who arrived about 20 minutes later,” CBC reports.
Vogelsang says the stress of the encounter brought him to tears when he relayed the tale to his mother.
“I get [home], I tell my mom and I start crying because I’m nervous and all this stress is on me,” he said.
“It’s hard times right now. I didn’t want my parents to pay it because I feel like it’s my responsibility.”
Vogelsang has Type 1 diabetes and exercises daily to maintain his health, says his father, who slammed the enforcement as a “disgusting” act of “bullying.”

The officer says in the body camera video that these warnings came after the store license was issued on March 24.Police asked Mazon for his driver’s license, but he refused.“You don’t need my driver’s license. Idaho Woman Facing 6 Months in Jail For Violating Coronavirus Lockdown Order by Holding Yard Sale

An Idaho woman is facing 6 months in jail and or a $1,000 fine for holding a yard sale.
Christa Thompson was helping her husband Peter, a truck driver, sell his late father’s belongings at a yard sale when police issued her a citation for violating the Governor’s Coronavirus lockdown order.
Peter Thompson told the Idaho Freedom Foundation that after his father passed away he had a significant financial incentive to sell his father’s belongings because his family took over his storage unit which was cost $1,000 a month.
The storage unit was a financial burden to the one-income family with SIX children.
The Rathdrum Police Department, however, said the Thompson’s yard sale was “non-essential.”

“On April 17, 2020 Rathdrum Police issued a citation in response to Governor Little’s Stay-at-Home Order. The family has had a yard sale for the past week within the City of Rathdrum. A garage sale/yard sale is not an essential business and should not be open for business,” the Rathdrum Police Department said in a Facebook post.
“The Rathdrum Police Department attempted to educate and warn prior to issuing a citation. Rathdrum PD has also received several complaints from the public in regard to the yard sale. This was a large non-essential yard sale that filled the entire front yard and spilled into the back yard as well. These yard sale items could be seen from Highway 41,” the police chief added.
The police department received major backlash.
“Rathdrum PD should be ashamed. Let people have a choice. If I choose to stop in at a yard sale that’s on me,” one FB user wrote.

“I hope this family can find a good constitutional lawyer and sue the Police Department for their disregard to our constitution of the state of Idaho and the constitution of the United States,” another added.
There you have it. The police deemed the yard sale non-essential so the woman is now facing prison time.

Flying robots to monitor temperatures, detect sneezing, coughing and heart and breathing rates
Westport, Connecticut police are going to be testing a “pandemic drone” that monitors citizens’ temperatures from almost 200 feet away and detects sneezing and coughing as well as heart and breathing rates.
Produced by the Canadian company Draganfly, the drones will be used by the police department “to enhance town services, advance public safety, promote the efficient use of taxpayer dollars, engage residents, and encourage growth in the local economy.”
Westport police titled the operation the “Flatten the Curve Pilot Program.”
According to a Draganfly press release, “The pandemic drone will be equipped with a specialized sensor and computer vision systems that can display fever/temperature, heart and respiratory rates, as well as detect people sneezing and coughing in crowds, and wherever groups of people may work or congregate. The technology can accurately detect infectious conditions from a distance of 190 feet as well as measure social distancing for proactive public safety practices.”
“One of the major problems for cities and towns like Westport in managing and responding to a pandemic like the COVID-19 virus, is finding out who could be infected and how widespread the disease has spread,” Westport First Selectman Jim Marpe said in a recent statement. “One way to do this is to look for underlying symptoms. By teaming up with Draganfly and the UniSA team led by Defence Chair of Sensor Systems Professor Javaan Chahl, we are able to remotely look at valuable lifesaving data and better manage current and future health emergencies.”
Westport will use the drones to monitor potential at-risk groups like seniors, crowds gathering downtown and at beaches, train stations, parks and recreation areas, shopping centers and basically all areas where people frequently gather.
Police say the technology will not be used to spy on private properties and note that the drones do not use facial recognition technology.
“This program has been tested for approximately the last five days,” Westport Police Lt. Anthony Prezioso told Patch. “It is anticipated that this will continue to be in effect through the summer months of July and August as we anticipate the need to continue to work to reinforce social distancing measures in order to limit and control the spread of the COVID-19 virus.”

Police officers responding to a car fire in Toulouse, France, were ambushed by some 30 assailants armed with molotov cocktails, explosives, and other projectiles, according to reports.
A patrol was called to the Mirail district of Toulouse due to reports of a burning vehicle on Sunday night.
“When they had arrived on the scene, the police quickly understood that they were victims of an ambush: Kiev street was blocked by garbage containers and burning barricades,” Actu 17 reports.
“The police were immediately the target of thrown projectiles, including paving stones and tiles. The attackers also used four or five Molotov cocktails and fireworks, we learned from the same source.”
Reinforcements were called and a dozen teams armed with flashball launchers and tear gas arrived and engaged in a two-hour battle with the insurgents.
Ultimately, all of the perpetrators reportedly escaped.
A police union spokesman says the ambush was likely a very 'localized' issue attributable to drug dealers in the area.
“Drug trafficking is currently slowing down due to lockdown, and when it does not work the traffickers fall into provocation and attack the police,” said SGP regional secretary Didier Martinez.
Attacks on police have been particularly ferocious in France in recent days as riots have raged in at least 25 cities and towns after a motorcyclist was severely injured while fleeing from law enforcement.

A number of elected officials serving in North Carolina’s capital region have pledged to share their coronavirus stimulus checks with illegal aliens in the state, according to local media.
At least one mayor and a handful of council members from the Raleigh-Durham metro area have vowed to redistribute at least a portion their Economic Impact Payments with foreign nationals who are ineligible to receive the funds.
“Durham and Raleigh elected officials have joined a campaign by Latino advocacy group Siembra NC called the ‘#ShareYourCheck Challenge’ to pledge donating all or part of their federal assistance to economically impacted immigrant families,” theNews & Observer reports.

Additional officials in the state reportedly plan to promote the ‘challenge’ to fellow lawmakers or donate to similar causes.
