Winter Solstice 2012 ~ The Sun Blazes, a Neon-Splendor of Yellow

The Golden Unicorn and the Rainbow Renaissance... when life sang most splendidly and was a creative act of the soul and spirit... once upon a time.


Happy Winter Solstice, Big Cat Beauties... to be honest, the Kougaress couldn't be certain she'd still be alive at this point in time, given all of her health challenges, and 'the' life challenges. But, yowls, here she is.

And, it was a cold challenging day on the tame prairie today. Yep, the ice rain hit first, hard and furious at times, last night while the Kougaress was editing... followed by about an inch and a half of blizzardy snow... because the real weather event was the howling blasting winds... omygosh.

Although, the weather was not nearly as extreme on the tame prairie as what has occurred elsewhere... so this Big Cat is definitely feeling grateful, and sending blessing to those who have been affected.

So, here we are, kittens, centered in the collision of several time cycles on our beloved Mother Earth.  We have reached the ending and the beginning.

We stand poised at the Winter Solstice 2012 Stargate, where new opportunities abound, where the heart energies ascend, and where the supremacy of love is the great equalizer, and far more valuable than gold. If 'we' make it so.

Winter Solstice 2012 ~ The Sun Blazes, a Neon-Splendor of Yellow

The setting sun today was such a magnificently amazing event, this Big Cat watched transfixed as this fiery being slowly descended, and disappeared. The sun absolutely blazed, incredibly huge in size, and was a shade of yellow the Kougaress has never witnessed before. Her best description is a neon-splendor of yellow.

At times in her life, this Big Cat, has adored certain shades of yellow beyond any other color. For example, yellow daffodils, and an ice pale shade of yellow. Or, a deep glowing golden yellow.

The setting sun was one of the most gorgeous, mesmerizing shades of yellow the Kougaress has ever seen. At this point in time, she doubts there is a camera that could have faithfully replicated the color.

But oh how the Kougaress wishes she had a way to capture the specific flaming-luminous color beyond soaking in the rays for as long as possible.

"Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" is one of those songs we hear piped into stores constantly during this season, and while we may get tired of it, we assume it's just a children's story. But it turns out there's some real science behind it.

When Dutch and Norwegian traveled to the Arctic to use video-microscope and thermal imaging technology to measure glow from reindeer noses, they found that tiny blood vessels more abundant in the noses of reindeer than in those of humans.

The question we want to know is, how did the lyricist of that song get that information, since science has just discovered it?
