Nighttime mews and roars, my gorgeous, holiday-happening Pussycats... can you believe only fifteen or so more days until the end of year 2011? Much colder on the tame prairie today, and last night there was a one heck of downpour for about fifteen minutes... the planet Jupiter was out earlier this evening, and looking absolutely stunning in the night sky.

Darling Big Cats, take care of yourselves... it's crash, boom, and bang time on the world stage.

What a whirlwind crazy ride, my darlings. The Kougar was approved to publish at Bookstrand... Yahoo! And, through much trial and error she managed to enter all her info correctly... then when it came to the file upload, she didn't have the files she needed, since it appears as though their system is like ARe... and those files have arrived from the professional formatter yet... and... oh, yeah, technically, SANTA BABY, SEVERAL STARS AWAY is for sale at Bookstrand, except only in the ,rtf format at this point in time... because this Big Cat is a dummy book waiting to happen when it comes to this stuff, and really doesn't know what to do... yee-yowls!!!

Not to mention all the constant promo-ing, which reminds this Big Cat... there is a blog hop taking place at ROMANCE WRITERS BEHAVING BADLY 16-18... the Kougar didn't announce it before because she didn't understand what was required, and apparently neither did some others, according to what was said... and, oh, what a sorta mess... however, she did post... and there are prizes, lots of good authors, and holiday ebook fun.

And, it was likely a big ole mistake, but this Big Cat signed up for Google's answer to Facebook because they didn't require the info FB wants, and because they don't say they own everything you post... although, really, Google and Facebook aren't that different as far as the cyber spying they do on all of us, etc. Remember, WE are the product... not products are being sold to us, as they pretend. But then, now, this Big Cat really doesn't understand that kind of social networking either... so, she has no clue what she'll do with it. Or not. And she hasn't created a page, either. Not yet.

I go both ways. Hey, settle down. I’m talking about POV. First person, third person, writing it or reading it, I’m okay with both. I made it all the way through Bright Lights, Big City, so I can handle second person present tense, though I wouldn’t care for a steady diet of it. That one’s best saved for special occasions, in my humble opinion.

Most romances are written in third person. First person seems to go better with urban fantasy, maybe because of UF’s grittier nature. First person in UF recalls laconic voiceovers in 1940s film noir. Third is the voice of the people; first is the voice of one person. If you’re going with first, better work on that voice to make sure it isn’t annoying.
