And speaking of miracles, the Kougaress had several today as she hunted down a new monitor. 'One' is she didn't get big-time smooshed by a large truck backing up. It was one of those nobody really at fault situations. This big cat was slowly turning and the truck driver probably saw no one and back up fairly fast. Come enjoy the holidays at the Jingle Bell Hop... first prize is a Kindle Fire. Afternoon late meows, my purty little Pussycats... cold on the tame prairie, but warming up some... okay, then panic for this Big Cat! When the monitor gives up the ghost... in fact when it suddenly becomes ghost white, it's all over. Well, the Kougaress thought she had a backup waiting in the wings. Yeah, she's not happy with a certain Radio Shack clerk who told her the TV she purchased could also be used as a monitor. NOPE!!! So, good gosh, since this Big Cat can't simply get to a store easily, given she's out here on the tame prairie... well, she ended up calling Dell and ordering one, but that won't be delivered for several days. Sooo... she called a Five and Dime store in town... yep, they still exist, and they said they had monitors. Okay, great... they had one... and fortunately it's working fine after a major snafu where one of the cords got trapped in the styrofoam packaging... oh well, it was definitely Oh-no! He's not a collector, he is what's known as a "penny hoarder" and he is not alone.Inside a shed next to his house, Henry has orange tubs filled with 200,000 pennies, and he spends hours sorting through roll after roll of the coins. But it's not just any and all pennies, Henry is only interested in those that are dated from 1982 and earlier because those are the coins made with 95 percent copper. A copper penny is worth more than other pennies -- now mostly made of zinc -- currently priced at $0.024."The copper has such a different sound than zinc pennies do," Henry said. "Real money has that definite sound of money and if you listen to a modern zinc penny, they don't sound the same, they sound sort of tinny."Henry even has a $500 home counting machine to separate out the copper ones.Much like the resurging obsession with gold, the price of copper has skyrocketed in recent years and the rising price has led to some unusual sprees. Thieves have been exploiting the value hidden in obscure items, stripping copper wiring from phone and utility cables, from construction sites, even from a 122-year-old copper bell that was stolen from a San Francisco cathedral.In San Diego, so much copper wiring has been stolen from eight different city parks, that soccer teams can't practice because the field lights stopped working.But penny hoarders aren't thieves, just opportunists. If you think only a sucker would pay two cents for a penny, you're missing out on a business opportunity that Adam Youngs, who runs a massive penny sorting operation in Portland, Ore., has perfected.He explained how he can sell a $100 worth of pennies for $176, when shipping and packaging are included.Youngs' operation, the Portland Mint, is locked inside a secure facility that deals with armored cars -- selling and shipping to clients in every state -- and works in pennies by the ton. He said he has clients with deep pockets who are storing huge sacks of pennies and he has inquires from hedge funds."Just in face value alone, about $270,000 dollars [in pennies] right now," Youngs said. In what could be the biggest legislation to hit the U.S. Mint in 50 years, officials are now looking at the composition of pennies and nickels and considering an overhaul. Talk about the king of beasts enjoying his holiday gift... Late night yowls, my adorable and holiday-frisky Felines... another strange cargo plane incident on the tame prairie this afternoon... the Kougaress was in her office on her computer when she heard the telltale sound of a plane... only it was loud... so, she rushed to her north-facing window and what did she behold as she heard one plane fly above her... but another fairly large cargo plane coming straight at her, only it was flying not that far above treetop level... this cargo type plane thundered over her roof, and was shortly followed by a plane flying at a much higher altitude and to the west, but following the same trajectory... okay, in the past, this Big Cat has witnessed at least three similar incidents... where there were three planes... two flying low and a third one trailing them at a higher altitude... so what the hell is going on? And why? Drug runners? What? Some sort of secret military operation? Information gathering? Yeah, they probably x-rayed the place. That’s all the Kougaress needs is more radiation. There were no obvious markings on the plane... it was just a gun metal gray... but, why all these similar incidents? YOWLS!!! ~~~~~~

The answer is, damn near everywhere.I’ve been having a lot of luck with cable TV lately. In addition to pilfering actors and characters, I find story nuggets on factoid networks like The History Channel and NatGeo. Having a twisted imagination helps.For instance: I was channel surfing the other day and found a show on Animal Planet called The Skunk Whisperer, about a group of animal control experts who remove pesky varmints from homes and such. Nothing will be told to the public except for misrepresentations and outright lies. However, as has been said before, the truth is out there. And will be leaked. From COAST TO COAST AM ~ Secret Space ResearchDate: 11-30-11Host: George NooryGuests: Richard C. Hoagland C2C Science Advisor and head of the Enterprise Mission, Richard C. Hoagland, discussed the latest American and Russian unmanned efforts to reach Mars and what may be the true nature of those missions. He suggested that the agenda behind the Russian Phobos-Grunt craft is not to travel to the Martian inner moon, but to actually journey to the YU55 asteroid that recently passed by Earth. He theorized that the Russians are interested in this object because it is not merely an asteroid, but is actually a craft. The origins of this craft, Hoagland said, could be from an ancient civilization that once populated the galaxy but was destroyed in a massive war.While the dueling Martian missions of the US and Russia may appear to be a new space race, Hoagland put forward the idea that it is really "a covert cooperation with the illusion of a competition." In this scenario, he said, the Russians are hoping to land their craft on the YU55 and take samples of it. Meanwhile, the Americans may have used their secret spy plane, known as the X-37B, to "rendezvous with YU55 as it comes through the system" and take detailed images of the object. Hoagland pointed to news that the X-37B was ending its latest mission early as a potential sign that "it's bringing something home." He cited a BBC report which quoted a Russian astronomer who described "strange structures" on YU55 as well as the repeated comparisons of the 'asteroid' to an aircraft carrier as potentially leaked clues to what the object really is.Regarding NASA's Curiosity Rover, Hoagland surmised that, if his theories are correct, it will ultimately lead to the disclosure that there was once an ancient race of people on the Red Planet. He explained that the planned landing site for Curiosity is inside the Gale Crater on Mars, where a mysterious mountain sits in the center. The origin of this mountain, Hoagland noted, baffles astronomers. Based on his study of photos of this land mass, he contended that it is "an ancient structure." Noting that Curiosity is nuclear powered, rather than solar powered like previous Mars rovers, Hoagland speculated that perhaps NASA plans on using the vehicle to explore inside this ancient structure.
