Friday into Saturday meows, my languishing and divinely lovely Felines... windy-warm on the tame prairie with long thin banks of clouds sailing by... still, no rain... the extra-dry leaves from the many tall trees around the Kougaress’s lair are dropping like leaves... dropping so fast, the scenery changes drastically everyday... the foliage is withering away all too fast. ~~~

Intensely Sunflower Yellow... oh, Kittens, as the glaringly bright sun -- too bright to look at directly -- hovered above the western horizon, ready to set, the color was a brilliant intense orange. Within moments, the color changed to an intense sunflower yellow... a beautiful bold shade of yellow, such as this Big Cat has never seen on the setting sun. The leaves on an elderly locust tree next to the fenceline are also a gorgeous luminous shade of yellow... different, more glorious than in previous years. ~~~~~~

Costuming and Cowgirl Instincts... costumes, as many will tell you -- as actors will tell you when they dress for a part... costumes often bring out, or enhance a side of you that may not be, either accepted in current society...or simply is not being expressed for ‘whatever’ myriad of reasons... often costumes allow you to be who you are... and that brings this Big Cat to her COWGIRL INSTINCTS. She’s written about this in several Western bloggies for her book... how much she adored wearing her Annie Oakley costume as a kid, and running the neighborhood, wild and free -- her toy pistols ready to be drawn, or already drawn. Of course, not many in Suburbia appreciated her wild tendencies, and her tomboy ways. Yep, squashed down, her wild spirit crushed -- that was the awful day-to-day reality. So now, as the world turns faster, and sheer craziness rules more often than not -- how much does the Kougaress wish she’d followed her cowgirl instincts far more than she did, and to HELL with anyone who sought to slap her down... and keep her down? If she’d followed that wild and fierce spirit, learned to shoot like an expert, learned about the land, how to really ride the land, how to ranch and farm ‘without’ the horrors and supposed advances of Big Agriculture... well, that seems like a far better way to live. Today, my darlings, the Kougaress listened to an impressive interview Roseanne Barr did with Alex Jones. For those of you Kittens who don’t know her, well there’s always googlie. Over the years since her rise to TV stardom, this Big Cat has always admired Roseanne as an individual, in part, because she’s REAL. She’s got real moxy. She’s got real smarts. She’s got more guts than about anyone the Kougaress has ever known of in this day and age. She’s persevered despite all the trauma-drama in her life. And, despite all, she’s still standing, standing for women, and for the American people. She’s also standing against Monsanto, or MonSatan, as she calls them, and she’s a farmer in Hawaii... well, this Big Cat couldn’t agree more about standing against MonSatan. Anyone, any company, who creates terminator seeds and GMO foods that kill animals and humans, pesticides that kill the land, the animals and people, and who are buying up all the heirloom seeds so they aren’t available... gee, gosh, ‘why’ are THEY still in business? As Roseanne believes, we as humanity, as each individual... we all need a much better way that truly works right now. Yeah, absolutely true. This Big Cat couldn’t agree more with that. Mewsings ~ Today, the Kougaress had this core feeling of wanting to be ‘free’... free to express her love toward individuals she heart-cares about, or who may need a hug. This particular feeling was not in the realm of romantic love... although, it could be. However, this was just the desire to be honest about ‘caring’ feelings in this culture. An impossibility, given the way things are now. Anyhoo, this core feeling that welled up inside wasn’t even aimed at anyone in particular... but, was a general desire... to be free... to simply be free. As yowled above, there is no real freedom to express that type of caring and love, right now. Not generally, anyway. Yes, on an individual level... on a one-on-one basis. Have you ever had that feeling: Have you ever wanted to be free to love? To simply express the love and warmth you’re feeling toward someone without risk of being shut down, or pushed away? Again, not even as a demonstration of romantic love, but simply an act of kindness, to give a squeezy little hug... Certainly, the Kougaress has experienced wanting to share her ‘caring love’ toward someone... and the individual didn’t want it, refused it. Even if they did want it at a heart level, they were emotionally unable to accept it. At first, this Big Cat didn’t understand who would refuse this type of kindness, and way. However, given all she’s been through in her life now, she DOES understand why. If you’re emotionally starved for love, if you’re wounded too deeply at an emotional level... well, often, this translates into not being able to accept an expression of caring... yes, this Big Cat DOES understand now. ~~~~~~

What a gorgeous cape... wouldn't the Kougaress adore dressing up this way for a 'bring your own wolf' costume party. Nighttime Saturday into Sunday meows, my trippy and treasured Big Cats... the crescent moon is gorgeous in the early night sky... does she ever appear huge and the Kougaress doubts it’s only atmospheric conditions... oh, how this Big Cat is wishing for some good soaking-in rains, right now... it’s so dry... however, nothing on the immediate horizon but blue sky... ~~~~~~

Of all the screwed things Anthony could have come up with, he decided to introduce Karaoke Night at the bar. It wasn’t enough that a bunch of drunk horny shape shifters crashed and trashed the bar almost every full moon. Now they were howling to oldies but goodies from 60’s and 70’s along with tunes from the 80’s and 90’s too.The gent dressed in business slacks and a button down shirt looked severely out of place amongst the oilrig workers, bikers, and other mix of gay and straight clients filling the bar. His trimmed beard and short hair stuck out amongst long hair, jeans, t-shirts and leather gear. Not that the local shifters didn’t own respectable businesses like the humans in town. Josh smiled remembering the look on Sally’s face when she learned her Gynecologist was a wolf three nights out of the month.~~~~~~
