Mere moments ago, the fragile-looking feather had drifted into her palm while she lounged on her divan. A sigh passed her lips, and Z’Pasha felt some measure of comfort.

Even though, Larissa remained in a deep state of recovery, the Benevolent Ones of the spirit realm knew her friend’s heart. They had gifted Z’Pasha with her soul feather.

These stories should be fast-paced paranormals with strong erotic fantasy and danger elements. Authors should feel comfortable exploring any and all sexual scenarios and shouldn't shy away from graphically sensual situations. In fact, the short stories should contain many erotic scenes that compel and bind the characters together. Strong, emotional characters that grab the readers imagination are also essential.

We are looking for stories of vampires, shape-shifters, werewolves, psychic powers, etc. set in contemporary times. Stories should deliver a dark, highly sensual read that will entertain readers and take them from everyday life into an atmospheric, complex world filled with characters struggling with life-and-death issues. A strong alpha hero is of utmost importance—he should be powerful, mysterious and totally attractive to the heroine. While action-packed and mission-oriented, the scope of these stories should be more contained, with additional focus placed on character development and erotic situations.

All stories should be capable of standing alone; all loose ends need to be tied up, and the relationship between hero and heroine should resolve itself in a satisfying manner.

For published authors, this line is a great way to explore more erotic scenarios and different fantasy elements. Unpublished authors are welcome as well.

Only complete manuscripts submitted electronically will be considered from unpublished authors; no partials or queries, please. Submissions should be sent as a Word-compatible attachment. Submissions should also follow standard formatting guidelines and should be double-spaced and typed in a clear, legible font on numbered pages. Propaganda piece attempts to quell massive backlash against naked body scanners, TSA molestation

Homeland Security head Janet Napolitano, now forever known as Big Sis – a reference to George Orwell’s 1984 – has been caught telling some big lies in an attempt to quell an enormous public backlash against the full body scanning technology and invasive pat-down procedures that have been implemented by the TSA in airports nationwide.

In a blatant propaganda piece published by USA Today, Napolitano describes the scanning machines as safe and the pat-downs as “discreet”, in the face of a flood of complaints from scientists, pilots, flight attendants, privacy groups, parents, Muslim groups and everyday passengers, all rebelling against over the top security.

“AIT machines are safe, efficient, and protect passenger privacy.” Napolitano writes in an article in which every single claim she makes can be easily disproved and revealed to be outright lies.

Lie: The scanners are safe

“They have been independently evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration, the National Institute of Standards and Technology, and the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, who have all affirmed their safety.” Napolitano claims, expecting the public to simply swallow the claim that NIST and the FDA are somehow “independent” of the federal government.

As for Johns Hopkins University declaring the scanners safe, tell it to Dr Michael Love, who runs an X-ray lab at the department of biophysics and biophysical chemistry at the Johns Hopkins school of medicine. Love told AFP two days ago that “statistically someone is going to get skin cancer from these X-rays”.

“…we have a situation at the airports where people are so eager to fly that they will risk their lives in this manner,” he added.

So, unless you count skin cancer as safe, Napolitano is lying to you.

According to other numerous real “independent” scientists who continue to speak out over the health hazards associated with the x-ray technology, the body scanners are far from safe.

John Sedat, a University of California at San Francisco professor of biochemistry and biophysics and member of the National Academy of Sciences tells CNet that the machines have “mutagenic effects” and will increase the risk of cancer. Sedat previously sent a letter to the White House science Czar John P. Holdren, identifying the specific risk the machines pose to children and the elderly.

The letter stated:

“it appears that real independent safety data do not exist… There has not been sufficient review of the intermediate and long-term effects of radiation exposure associated with airport scanners. There is good reason to believe that these scanners will increase the risk of cancer to children and other vulnerable populations.”

The TSA has repeatedly stated that going through the machines is equal to the radiation encountered during just two minutes of a flight. However, this does not take into account that the scanning machines specifically target only the skin and the muscle tissue immediately beneath.

The scanners are similar to C-Scans and fire ionizing radiation at those inside which penetrates a few centimeters into the flesh and reflects off the skin to form a naked body image.

The firing of ionizing radiation at the body effectively “unzips” DNA, according to scientific research by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

The research shows that even very low doses of X-ray can delay or prevent cellular repair of damaged DNA, yet pregnant women and children will be subjected to the process as new guidelines including scanners are adopted.

The Inter-Agency Committee on Radiation Safety concluded in their report on the matter that governments must justify the use of the scanners and that a more accurate assessment of the health risks is needed.

Pregnant women and children should not be subject to scanning, according to the report, adding that governments should consider “other techniques to achieve the same end without the use of ionizing radiation.”

“The Committee cited the IAEA’s 1996 Basic Safety Standards agreement, drafted over three decades, that protects people from radiation. Frequent exposure to low doses of radiation can lead to cancer and birth defects, according to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency,” reported Bloomberg.

Scientists at Columbia University also entered the debate recently, warning that the dose emitted by the naked x-ray devices could be up to 20 times higher than originally estimated, likely contributing to an increase in a common type of skin cancer called basal cell carcinoma which affects the head and neck.

“If all 800 million people who use airports every year were screened with X-rays then the very small individual risk multiplied by the large number of screened people might imply a potential public health or societal risk. The population risk has the potential to be significant,” said Dr David Brenner, head of Columbia University’s centre for radiological research.

Hmmm... meows, this KitKat girl has always been more into quality than quantity. However, quantity does win out in a few things/matters. It might be like Wally World vs really quality merchandise... yeah, wowser-mowser, it might be to your advantage as an author to have a ‘quantity’ presence on the world wide webbie... so they say... however, this Big Cat may be fooling herself... but, once readers see the same thing over and over... isn’t that just a recipe for boredom in the end? The Kougar has to wonder... or, it may be she’s just too darn finicky... ~shrug~

Another Weird Sky Thing... picture this... it’s a blue sky, no clouds... there’s a jet on a straight trajectory making either a contrail or a chemtrail... the Kougaress can see the jet fairly easily and she’s watching to see if the white trail behind the jet is an actual contrail of ye olden days, or if it’s a chemtrail, because the jet has just arrived in the part of the sky she can see well, and the white trail could be either one... anyway, she’s watching the jet’s progress which turns out to be short-lived because SUDDENLY nothing can be seen. Not the jet, not the white trail. NOTHING!!! It’s as if it simply disappeared. But what happened? Did the jet and the trail become invisible since that tech does exist? Or, did something actually stop it? Something unknown??? There are a lot of different scenarios of what could have happened. But, what DID HAPPEN? The jet is there with it’s white trail. Then, it’s not. Poof, it’s all gone. And, there was nothing for the jet to go behind. Not a cloud. Nothing.

Sylva noticed the men were careful not to gaze at her directly. Still, she gave them the side-eyed once over. Beyond the fact they were all impressive in their own right, she figured they would cause a sex-feeding frenzy at any nightclub she knew about. Yes, indeedy, with all that bulging muscle definition she felt very protected. Hearing Zeke’s stride, Sylva turned her gaze on him and beamed a smile. The cloud of concern in his eyes caused to her frown. What was up now? But as fast as she witnessed it, he grinned while his cognac-colored eyes lit up.

Zeke knew he would have to tell his Sylva about the bounty poster. But not now. This, for dang certain, wasn’t the place. Plus, he’d decided he wanted her well and rested. Her temper may get the better of her at his delay. Her intuition would likely nag her. Still, he’d weather any storm she threw at him, and turn it into their wildfire passion for each other. Course, he’d already made mistake one, lettin’ his own feelings show. At least, he knew why there’d been problems at the ranch. Already, his mother had hired reinforcements beefing up the patrols.

Never!!!

A Strange Highness, not High Strangeness ~ More and more in these time, this Big Cat just shakes her furry mug, and wonders... as an afficionado of the paranormal and paranormal research, the term, High Strangeness, is often used to denote what cannot be explained, but occurs. One grisly example are the cattle mutilations... yep, still going on, in case you didn’t know. No one has ever been charged with this crime and gone on trial. And, no, predators don’t generally use laser-type of instruments. Unless, they’re cunning shapeshifters... but that’s a whole other story that’s probably been written... hmmm... okay, then, these are the perfect bad guys...

But, shake a furry butt, the Kougaress digresses... when did it happen? This Strange Highness of events? When did the founders of our beloved country, those men who loved and cherished freedom above their own lives... those men who were tortured and sacrificed their families for the sake of founding our nation... when did they become labeled as te**orists? Oh, except by the British, of course. The crown definitely labeled them as Te**orists.

Did you know there are training programs for law enforcement that vilify and now declare our founding fathers to be Te**orists? This is also being taught in some schools. What’s going on? This Big Cat was taught to revere and honor the founding fathers. She was taught to love freedom. She was taught to fight for freedom. And now! Now! Fighting for freedom... well, now you are likely to be labeled a Te**orist. ~blink, blink~

WASHINGTON – Some ancient penguins may have been twice as big as today's Emperor penguin but they lacked the dashing tuxedo. Researchers unearthed remains of a nearly 5-foot-tall penguin that roamed what is now Peru about 36 million years ago, and they also discovered fossilized feathers that show back then, the flightless bird was a more motley mix of reddish-brown and gray.

Thursday's report in the journal Science is more than a curiosity about color. Analyzing the fossil led to a new discovery about modern penguins, which in turn raises questions about how their feathers evolved to help them become such expert swimmers.

It's one of the largest penguins that ever lived, estimated to have been twice as heavy as the average Emperor penguin of today. The second species of giant penguin discovered in Peru, it was given the name Inkayacu paracasensis, or Water King, part of a cluster of now-extinct penguin species that apparently ranged over much of the Southern Hemisphere.

Bart hadn’t been kidding. His gaze slowly and constantly swept the area around them. Okay, then. Satisfying her curiosity, Sylva cast her gaze over the other seated men, about twenty of them.

Zeke swept away his irritation at being interrupted. His training kicked in, then kicked him hard enough so he gave his full attention to his dad. Once they entered the pilot’s cabin, Zeke rushed toward one of the contact screens. There was a photo of his bride, his Sylva on a Secret Circle bounty poster. “Wanted: Alive. The wife of Zeke Vintorr. The sum to be paid will be negotiated to your advantage.” Stunned down to his boots, he almost rocked backward. Then fury hit him. His blood boiled. Whirling, he gazed at his dad. “We’ll keep her safe, son.”

Knot in Mystery Ribbon at Solar System's Edge Unravels

The unraveling of a knot in a mysterious energy ribbon shows that the edge of our solar system is a much more dynamic place than previously thought, according to new research.

NASA's Interstellar Boundary Explorer spacecraft has revealed quickly changing conditions near the heliosphere, a protective bubble that shields our solar system from powerful, damaging cosmic rays. The observations, which include the loosening of a knot in a strange energy ribbon, could help scientists better design long-range space missions, researchers said.

To further clarify, this is what moi heard from expert, Mitch Battros ~ earthchangesmedia.com ~ [to paraphrase] the heliosphere is like the magnetic field of Earth and is a bubble that extends around the solar system. Currently, in this cycle, the magnetic field is weakening and more charged particles are penetrating, thus reaching Earth. The heliosphere is also weakening, which means more cosmic particles are seeping through and there is what’s called magnetic flux. The consequence is more and more extreme weather, and a major magnetic shift could occur.

Also, connected to the changing heliosphere, the jet stream is currently in reverse push. The jet stream affects the ocean currents, and everything is tied to the magnetic field, which is also tied to the heliosphere. With the shifting jet stream, there are shifting ocean currents. And, of course, this directly affects the weather patterns. As well, shifts are taking place inside the earth’s core.

So, the upshot is more bumpy weather rides, and a cooling trend in temperatures. Volcano activity is also on the rise, with 21 volcanoes in Indonesia that could erupt anytime. This is on the heels of a 7.2 earthquake in Indonesia.

Sylva sensed her Zeke’s deep concern. She knotted their hands, then stretched upward enough to press a kiss on his neck. “I’m glad we’re going home to the ranch,” she whispered. Angling toward her, her cowboy husband caught her lips with a small tender kiss. “I can’t wait for some of mom’s good cookin’. Git your taste buds ready, dalrin’. Mom usually piles up the table whenever dad returns after a time away.” Sylva wriggled with anticipation. “Nothing better than home cooking. Except lots of sleep time. And...” she crooned suggestively. “Some serious rollin’ time between the sheets,” Zeke rasped.

Zeke kept his gaze immersed in his woman’s gaze for long, long moments. At his dad’s cleared throat, he looked up. “Pardon, son. Need you to take a look up front. Pardon, Sylva. He shouldn’t be gone but a few minutes.” Gaining his feet, Zeke pivoted around and gave his woman a big kiss. “Right back, darlin’ mine.” She nodded, and smiled, but he caught the flicker of worry in her eyes. They’d already been through hellacious adventures. As he followed his dad, Zeke promised himself that somehow he would make dang certain they had husband and wife time together.

Messiness... it occurs to the Kougaress that our western culture has a phobia about MESSINESS... this definitely includes moi... how this came about in our society... well, this Big Cat will leave that for another discussion. At ROMANCE WRITERS BEHAVING BADLY, erotic romance author, Jeanne St. James, presented Thirteen foods that could be used for seduction and pleasure. Mygosh... all the comments that talked about the messiness of these foods rather than the potential for pleasure... that boggled this Big Cat’s mind... what happened to us that we are so incredibly phobic about getting down and dirty and yes, messy?

Yowls yes! The Kougaress DOES NOT like cleaning up messes... BIG TIME does not like it. So, that begs the question: Why have we designed lives where seductive messiness *can’t* be enjoyed. After all, outside was always good for messy fun when moi grew up. Why don’t we have an area inside where being messy with each other isn’t an issue? Okay, yes, moi always wanted a playroom she could simply hose down [a drain in the center]... where everyone could let loose and just have fun... and there was easy clean-up. Obviously such a room could be used for sexual fun and frolic. AND FOOD-PLEASURABLE MESSINESS.

Maybe, we all need to roll around in the mud more, alone, or with that right passionate someone. Get back to the gloriousness of nature and being wonderfully outrageously MESSY.

She also delved into cleansing and protection rituals, demon possession, reincarnation, and the magical side of herbs, suggesting people use bayberry and mugwort to attract wealth and success.

I’ve always been a sucker for a romantic title. Linda Banche’s LADY OF THE STARS makes me feel all starry-eyed and swoony-romantic inside.

Romance novels titles have always been a source of sweet pleasure for me. And, of course, if the title got me, back in the good ole days, especially the 80s, I would read the blurb, or whatever was on the back of the cover, then decide if I wanted to read a few pages.

Thirty-One Days of October!

As we near the end of September, and move into the last quarter of 2010, the cosmos energy is influenced by a conjunction between the Sun and Saturn both in Libra casting a somber mood over us all.

Having risen high in the sky, the transport zoomed parallel to the blazing horizon. “Hyperdimensional physics,” her Zeke answered. “We see more of the sun’s true nature.” Weary, yet fascinated, Sylva asked, “The sun’s true nature?” Her cowboy lovingly sandwiched her hand between both of his. “During this time, coming up on 2012, Earth is joining with a higher frequency. It is said that higher nature will be observed in all things. That could be why Coon and Snake showed up now. Why --”

Zeke stopped his words, not wanting to talk about his Sylva’s psychic abilities here, where there were so many listening ears. Even if their ranch crew remained loyal, likely. Still, an inadvertent slip of the tongue could bring an avalanche of danger down on them. Resting her head on his shoulder, his woman nodded, letting him know she realized why he remained silent. Course, given what all had gone on at the Center, the crew had probably put two and two together, and come up with certain conclusions. Zeke figured that added a whole new concern to his pancake-like stack.

In humans, superbugs are caused by overexposure to antibiotics, but this isn't how seagulls are getting them. Instead, they are eating human garbage and catching them from people (for a change).

In order to draw attention to Paul Joseph Watson’s latest article, Authorities Plan To Trawl Phone Calls And E Mails For Signs Of “Resentment Toward Government,” Alex Jones has announced a new search term – Resentment Toward Government.

If alive today, would the founders be profiled as criminals resentful toward government?

Watson draws attention to a symposium in held Hamburg, New York, that was attended by federal agencies, police departments and others and where a system that trawls phone conversations, emails and instant messages to detect “resentment toward government” was demonstrated. The system works by detecting “resentment in conversations through measurements in decibels and other voice biometrics,” more specifically the emotional spikes that characterize “hatred and deep resentment toward government.”

How many people express resentment toward the government? How many Americans display “patterns of fixation on specified subjects” after receiving a parking ticket or on April 15 when the government demands we fill out a pile of meaningless paperwork after a year of wealth confiscation at gunpoint?

The foundation of the American ideal is a deep distrust and suspicion the founders of our nation had for government. Distrust of government is expressed in the Constitution’s separation of powers and the necessity of checks and balances. According to the government today, though, such founding ideals are sedition and the founders were little more than terrorists.

According to a recent poll, only 22 percent of those surveyed said they trust the federal government “almost always or most of the time,” while 56 percent said they are frustrated, if not resentful. About 43 percent said that government had a negative effect on their daily lives, a significant jump from 13 years ago when 31 percent expressed similar sentiments in the poll.

Government fears all citizens who resent their monopoly on power. In April, the state of Texas reacted in predictable fashion when the CPS snatched the son of Austin-area activists Barry and Candi Cooper for the crime of teaching him to mistrust government.

Federal agencies and police now assigned with the task of scouring the internet and phone calls for resentment toward government will be confronted with an insurmountable task.

The NSA has conducted surveillance on the American people for decades. The false flag attack on September 11, 2001, gave the government and its legion of spooks and Bill of Rights saboteurs a blank check to increase this effort. The elite and their faceless bureaucrats will now create electronic dossiers on those who express even the slightest anger and resentment in response to tyranny.

We need to draw attention to this criminal effort by the government to violate the Fourth Amendment and trash our founding ideals.

X-Serial Flash in Two Hundred ~ Sylva and Zeke’s story continues...

Part 640 ~

Sylva’s fears about the future assaulted her, as she’d become accustomed to during her life on her Earth. Mentally, she sighed and tried to ignore them. When her usual worries flooded her mind, then tensed her body, she focused on her breaths, on Zeke’s virile scent. As they floated toward humongous opening panels, a blaze of pink-orange light shone through. “Sunrise or sunset?” she asked. “I’ve lost track of time.” Her cowboy squeezed her hand with his. “Sunrise, darlin’ mine.” He pointed to a compass-like instrument beside them, high on the side of the transport. “My gut knows. Different feeling.”

Zeke wrapped his arm around his bride as she nestled closer. Dang, if she wasn’t the best feeling woman ever, the way she molded her sweet body against him. “You would think with my abilities I could sense what time it is. Your gut sure does know a lot,” she bantered. “Yep. Dad trained us to listen. More like, he encouraged our instincts and knowin’.” Immersed in the breathtaking flames of sunrise, Zeke felt them both honor the beauty of Mother Nature with their full attention. “The sun is getting brighter all the time,” she murmured, once the transport levitated.

Federal authorities do not concern themselves about the flood of illegal immigrants and drugs crossing the border every day, they’re more worried about radiating American truck drivers at internal checkpoints with mobile scanners that shoot dangerous x-rays through both vehicles and passengers.

As we reported last month, the federal government has acquired hundreds of backscatter x-ray scanners mounted in vans that they are now using to randomly scan vehicles, passengers and homes in complete violation of the 4th amendment and with wanton disregard for any health consequences.

An example of their expanding use was reported by WSBTV yesterday, after federal agents from several agencies, including Homeland Security, the Department of Transportation, and the TSA, set up an internal checkpoint on Interstate 20 just west of Atlanta and detained truck drivers for half an hour or more at a “state-owned inspection station” while they were scanned with a bomb detection device.

Officials admitted there was no specific threat that justified the checkpoint, and although it was labeled a “counter-terror operation,” the scans were also being conducted in the name of “safety”.

Backscatter x-ray vision devices mounted on trucks are already being deployed inside the United States to scan passing individuals and vehicles in complete violation of the Fourth Amendment. Similar to naked airport body scanners, the devices fire x-rays outwards which are then absorbed by dense objects or the human body. Frequent exposure to low doses of radiation can cause cancer and birth defects, according to a report by the Inter-Agency Committee on Radiation Safety.

American Science & Engineering, a company based in Billerica, Massachusetts, has sold many of the devices to U.S. law enforcement agencies, who are already using them on the streets for “security” purposes.

“Without a warrant, the government doesn’t have a right to peer beneath your clothes without probable cause,” points out Marc Rotenberg, executive director of EPIC. “Even airport scans are typically used only as a secondary security measure. If the scans can only be used in exceptional cases in airports, the idea that they can be used routinely on city streets is a very hard argument to make.”
