In Print ~ HER INSATIABLE DARK HEROES

Oh, my lovely KitKats, guess what the Kougar received in her e-mailbox today... yeppers and smiling purrs, the above print cover for HER INSATIABLE DARK HEROES... soon to be released IN PRINT! Oh, meow-yes, it’s happy twitching tail time. Oopsie, the print cover wouldn't load... darn and roars.
And, yesterday, Pat Cunningham, author of COYOTE MOON, e-sent moi a fabulous dry-humor, highly imaginative blog for SHAPESHIFTER SEDUCTIONS ~ which the Kougar will post on Thursday, October 1 ~ titled: Interview with the Werecoyote. You shapeshifter lovers have to give this one a read.

X-Serial Flash in Two Hundred ~ Sylva and Zeke’s story continues...

Part 277 ~

Sylva swallowed as everyone’s gaze fell on her. “Why is that, darlin’?” Zeke asked. Taking a breath, Sylva plunged ahead. “The government would take a dim view of people being in contact with another world. The hidden black-ops agencies are dangerous and powerful and possess secret technologies that are mind boggling. They could be a danger to your world. Though, if you just met individual women, say, at a bar or, I guess, saloon here, and kept a low profile, that might work.” Ranson gave a thoughtful nod. “In and out like men of mystery. We couldn’t be greedy, neither.”

Zeke rubbed his chin, musing deeply. “It would be a complex operation, even if we could portal to my Sylva’s world. Besides, we got our bad guys here. Certainly don’t want them crossin’ over.” Marina leaned forward. “It could turn into a war between parallel worlds.” Grant steadied his gaze on Zeke. “It’d have to be a private operation like a pleasure ranch with just a few men chosen to go through the doorway.” Ranson scraped his chair forward. “Men who can keep what happened their private business and just say their wives arrived here like Zeke’s beautiful bride did.”

Lightning Strikes! ... and Murder is IN PRINT...

Good evening, my weekend wandering KitKats, it’s been a sultry day on the tame prairie. After three hours of being surrounded by some of the strangest lightning this Big Cat has ever witnessed, the storm came in, whipped around, left some rain for moi’s non-existent tomatoes, then departed, steaming everything up.
Lightning strikes! Yep, for the second day in a row on moi’s tame prairie. Lightning also delayed the Shuttle’s take off yesterday... and a wonderful lightning strike of the personal kind. The Kougar just found out MURDER BY HAIR SPRAY IN GARDENIA, NEW ATLANTIS is now IN PRINT and available from Barnes and Noble and Amazon.
Hot diggity dog... or meow, is that Hot diggity chihuahua... referring to the yappy bad guy chihuahua shifter in Murder... okay, moi, is into silly, stream of conscious-landia.

This following is from the Kougar’s *kiss* blog at HAPPILY EVER AFTER this week ~

Here’s the *first kiss* between Kalypso and Zryphus in MURDER BY HAIR SPRAY IN GARDENIA, NEW ATLANTIS, my 2051 futuristic that takes place on the risen land of Atlantis.
Kalypso is the Sheriff of New Atlantis and Zryphus is an OtherWorlder, who works as a Fed Agent, the old USA.
The 13th murder victim of the Hair Spray Killer occurs in New Atlantis, where murder is rare. Zryphus has been the lead investigator on the case. To prevent the serial killer’s next murder, Kalypso and Zryphus come to a professional understanding about tracking him down.
Zryphus has come to his own understanding. He’s finally found the woman he wants as his wife.
Kalypso has sworn off all men. And she means it.
~~~
Kalypso took her time as she moved toward the scowling, pondering and mountainous Fed Agent. “Know anything about a diary?” she whispered, keeping her eyes locked and loaded on his. “Neglect to tell me something?”
“I knew she claimed to have found a celebrity’s diary. Thought it might be her own ‘memoirs’. Or that it belonged to one of her lady-of-the-evening friends. You know, reveal all for enough cashola.”
“Cashola?”
“What’s in the diary?”
“You tell me. She had the handwriting analyzed.”
His gaze leapt, then darkened with surprise. “Missed that angle,” he admitted.
“Give me your ear, Agent.” Kalypso toyed with him,imitating a woman’s provocative promise.
Zryphus stared hard for a brief moment, then turned his ear toward her lips. “Jackie O’s diary. The real thing. Supposedly. Don’t look shocked,” she cautioned as he started to jerk his head around. “We want to keep this a secret. For as long as possible...don’t you think, Agent?”
Her nearness brutally tempted him. “Yeah, the smart move.”
Gods of Mating, she was cream and flame gorgeous. Feeling like a nova sun inside, Zryphus grabbed the back of his woman’s head. He whipped her down to him, her stunned face beneath his. His passion like lava, he arched her over his lap, her mouth beneath his mouth. He kissed her, plundering her warm perfect lips for a long time.
Completely dazed—the scene of Rhett Butler forcefully kissing Scarlett playing in her head—Kalypso didn’t move, even when his mouth released hers. Not at first. Then she whirled, angry as a full-blown tornado. Her fist aimed for his jaw. His hand shot up, halting her punch just before it landed.
Cupping her fist with his mitt-like hand, he held gently.
“Superior reflexes, Sheriff,” he softly growled. His darkened sapphire eyes gleamed with appreciation.
“Yeah...always had ‘em. Cad,” she evenly replied, her underlying tone deadly as a rattlesnake. Who cared if his kiss still sizzled her lips.
Just for the cowboy lovin’ big cats ~ a sneaky peekie DIALOGUE-snippet from BRANDED BY THE TEXANS...
“Did Dillon tell you there ain’t no other way up that side of the mountain, other than on foot or ridin’?”
“Airplane, helicopter?” Her brows raised, her gaze slicing him a good one.
“My ground jet.”
“Okay, I’ll bite. What’s a ground jet?”
Good lord, am I hoping you do bite during love makin’, darlin’ mermaid.
“It’s a small supersonic-speed jet, developed by high level engineers in the Sovereign movement, that can travel high or low to the ground. It handles smooth as ridin’ a mountain lion so you can navigate the terrain. Next time I take Katydid out for a run I’ll give you a ride.”
Dash caught the flare in her eyes she couldn’t disguise by lowering her lashes. She wanted a ride in Katydid.
X-Serial Flash in Two Hundred ~ Sylva and Zeke’s story continues....
Part 196 ~
Sylva gazed at the claw tub that reminded her of a swan that had been stained by the pink of sunrise. She’d had no idea this luxury bath area had been off her dressing room. After scanning the beautiful ivory-colored ceramic shelf within easy reach of the tub, she pivoted, saying, “You’re right, cowboy. I don’t have a clue about half those things. Is there an instruction manual somewhere?” Rumbling a chuckle, he began a deliberate seductive removal of her dressing gown, slipping it from her shoulders, then smoothing his hands down her back, the satiny fabric following his strokes.
Zeke indulged in every creamy golden inch of her wife’s flesh as it was revealed to him. His gaze feasted on the delicate and voluptuous curves of her body... the curve of her cheek, flushed to rose... the feminine curves of her lovely shoulders... the curves of her beautifully shaped arms... the tantalizing *begging for his kisses* curves of her breasts... the sweet fragile-looking curve of her ribcage... the hourglass curve of her waist designed for his holding of her... the flaring curve of her gorgeous hips... the generous silky curve of her butt, his hands slid with utter reverence.
This was on one of the chat loops, Happy Kittens ~ it sounded too good to pass up... really, moi should take up sipping on drinkies...
Created by mixologist and author Natalie Bovis-Nelsen (aka The Liquid Muse), the Garden Bouquet is a seasonal and relatively low-cal cocktail that's easy to whip up at home. Fragrant and fresh-tasting, the recipe combines white wine, lavender tea, rosemary, lemon and vodka, resulting in a light drink that feels like spring in a glass.
Garden Bouquet
3/4 ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 ounce lavender rosemary syrup*
1/2 ounce sauvignon blanc
1 1/2 ounce vodka
1 rosemary sprig (for garnish)
Shake lemon juice, lavender rosemary syrup, sauvignon blanc and vodka with ice. Strain into a wine glass filled with fresh ice. Garnish with a slice of lemon and rosemary sprig.
*Lavender rosemary syrup: Brew 1/2 cup lavender tea. Pour tea, along with 1 cup sugar and 6 rosemary leaves, into a small saucepan. Stirring constantly, bring mixture to a boil, then let simmer 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool. Store extra in refrigerator for future cocktails.
X-Serial Flash in Two Hundred ~ Sylva and Zeke’s story continues....
Part 132 ~
Sylva surged with several sensations, a soft wonder at how her cowboy took care of her... the sexy sizzle tinglies deep in her belly at the way he handled her gown skirt in the back, shaking it out with practiced finesse... and a sweet enjoyment at being a woman she’d never known. It was if she were truly cherished. Suddenly feeling overwhelmed and shy of him, she slowly twirled around, facing him. “Thank you, handsome,” she managed, her cheeks burning. Why she felt awkward Sylva couldn’t determine. Maybe she waited for the other proverbial shoe to drop, or a boot.
Zeke presented his arm and wondered at the high color of his bride. “My pleasure,” he answered. “There are water elixirs and wine available inside the lounge,” he continued, realizing she wouldn’t know that. “Choose whatever pleases you, darlin’. Then I’ll order whatever else you desire.” Zeke led her to the back exit of their booth. “Interesting,” she murmured, cuddling his arm closer as they stepped outside into the corridor. “Do I simply tell them your name, cowboy? Water does sound good.” Zeke tenderly rubbed the top her little hand. “You’ll be known, my Sylva, since you are my wife.”
