Part 511 ~

Sylva glowed as if a lover’s moon had slipped inside her. Damn, if she wasn’t falling in love with her cowboy, more and more. She knew she had a choice. Wall off her heart or go with the glowy floaty feelings that had taken over her entire body. If anything ever happened... if Zeke betrayed her, she knew her heart would be ‘torn asunder’. Maybe she would regret crossing this bridge, or deciding to keep on crossing, as she’d been doing. Still, this conversation with herself would likely not end soon. She was damaged goods when it came to love.

Zeke watched the clouds of doubt disappear from his Sylva’s eyes, and felt her body lighten in his arms. He couldn’t resist swooping down and kissing her. Her little arms claimed his neck while her lips warmly and passionately moved with his. Unsealing their lips, Zeke tangled his fingers in her hair, then eased them through her long tresses. “That’s what a comb is for,” she teased. Playfully turning her outward, he devoted himself to drying her hair. “I like my way of doing it better, darlin’ mine. Any objections?” She shook her head, her tresses waving over his hands.

BIG CAT SWIPES AND COMMENTARY ~ Petty Power Chicks in Small Print/E-Publishing

It always happens, so it seems, those individuals who crave petty power, who actually think a power trip is the end-all and be-all of life...MAKE THEIR APPEARANCE.

There are SO MANY!!! GOOD, WONDERFUL AND AMAZING women and men in the romance publishing industry, one reason this Big Cat author enjoys interacting and making friends.

With the fast growth of small print/e-publishing, it had to happen... more and more, this Big Cat is hearing sad horror stories of how authors and aspiring authors are being treated by what she is calling the Petty Power Chicks. Perhaps, to make it fair and equal... also, the Petty Power Cockrells.

These sad idiots are so lacking in self-esteem and a real sense of their own souls, they figure their worth has to be *larger* than anyone supposedly under their ego-inflated authority. Yeah, slash and trash, an author’s work...no, don’t provide honest and valuable info that would actually help create a superior story.

Who knows what these Petty Power Chick/Cockrells have endured during their lives that turn them into these pathetic Napoleon wannabes? Who knows how much negative subconscious influence is going on when THEY lord it over everyone, and actually believe their words are worth their weight in gold? Oh, yeah...that’s so true, in this gold-to-the-moon economy.

While this Big Cat can certainly sympathize with their internal anguish, there is NO EXCUSE for allowing this bully-cliquish behavior. If you’re perpetrated against in this manner, take action. Let those in charge know, even if they are going to back the person who emotionally bullied you. And, if they do, this Big Cat strongly suggests leaving by any means necessary. Find a publisher who values you as an author. Plus, with Indie publishing on the rise ~ that could offer you a real solution and could be the right direction for furthering your career.

If you choose to accept or be cowed by this reprehensible, small-minded behavior, it won’t get any better. It’s the same psychology as being abused by a spouse. Further, in this Big Cat’s opinion, there is NO room for Petty Power Chick/Cockrells in the small print/e-publishing industry, that is, if it is to continue thriving, if this entrepreneurial phenome plans to flourish in the future. This Big Cat author so hopes it does!!!

World's Oldest Santa Figurine Believed Found

Archaeologists working in Akron, Ohio, claim to have found the world's oldest three-dimensional representation of Santa Claus.
Known as the "Blue Santa," the object was made circa 1884 by The American Marble & Toy Manufacturing Company, which burned to the ground in 1904. The figurine is 2.5 inches tall.

Project leader Brian Graham said, "It's a wishing Santa. You hold it in your hand and wish for the present you want for Christmas."

Yeah, those spammers seem to think everyone in the universe is interested in this particular drug. The sneaky ads for Vi***agra get by my email spam filter. I always report them as SPAM!!! And they are disgusting.
Come on, get a life... Vi-Spammers... and not as in 'come' as the word is used in erotic romance novels... not all of us give one good damn about this kind of in-your-face pornography (no, I don't want it in the face). Because that's what it is. Legalized ad pornography.
Anyone who truly wants to use this drug can find it by doing an internet search or by going to their doctor. You know, with some kind of discretion involved.
Personally, I wish Mr. Dole had never discussed his dick deficiency in a national TV ad, lo those many years ago.

Part 354 ~

Sylva reached her breaking point. Her panic moved out of the way, replaced by a tide of anger that surfaced as if pulled by the new moon. Mentally, she shouted, “Okay, if you’re so smart, where the hell am I?” Her rage growing, she waited. “Just as I thought. You don’t know where I am. You want me to tell you. Well, screw you! Screw you!” Sylva calmed herself a bit, focusing on ‘wherever’ she was. Performing a gradual spin, she looked up and down, as well. Now, there were no more mountains. Only an eerie dark gray floating mist.

Zeke squeezed his eyes with some relief and a great mountain of gratitude. At least, his precious Sylva had warmed up, her skin temperature feeling closer to normal. Still, she remained lost to him, her body unmoving. As the thought popped inside his head, Zeke did it, he concentrated on joining his mind with his wife’s consciousness. Nothing seemed to happen until he saw a grayish substance, as if clouds of heavy smoke combined with a dense fog. “Sylva.” He yelled her name over and over in his mind. Hoping. Wishing for anything. “Sylva, where are you? I need you!”
