Brooke Borneman of Dorchester, Thank You

Happy weekend, my gorgeous Big Kittens, cooler breezes on the tame prairie. Yet, yowl! Stickiness still rules.
Ever have that restless type of sleep where intense dreams inundate your brain? But you can’t quite figure out what the dreams are all about. In moi’s case, all she recalls is being a part of what was happening on a monitor type of screen while simultaneously creating what was happening. It was bizarre.
Okay *impatient tail switches* ... write the script of your own life could be an interpretation. So... what next?
~~~
Yep and meow, a big thank you to Brooke Borneman of Dorchester Publishing. The Kougar had e-sent a couple of questions about the Textnovel contest ~ textnovel.com/home.php ~ and Brooke answered them completely and in a manner this Big Cat author appreciated.
Next Wednesday, moi plans to post the second chapter of CURSES WERE STRANGE BEASTS.
~~~
Authoress mews and news ~

Research of the fun horsie kind today, my Kittehs... see the fiery horse pic above. The Kougar searched for a rearing horse to use as a model for free-hand drawing her hero, Trail, in his flaming stallion form. Yay and neigh, the drawing is complete.
Of course, she ran across the well-known photographer and horse person, Bob Langrish ~
http://boblangrish.com ~ unfortunately, his dream horse page was so large it didn’t load worth a darnikans... but purr about some gorgeous photo-art pics.
Once moi’s masterpiece *ahem* is scanned in, she’ll post it... find out what the Big Cats think.

Now ~ FIRST! just for the big cool cats ~

Happy Courtship on another Earth

X-Serial Flash in Two Hundred ~ Sylva and Zeke’s story continues....

Part 174 ~

Sylva rolled and stretched, thoroughly enjoying the luxurious comfort of the bed and the rich potent smell of coffee. Gradually she came awake, feeling for her cowboy. The bed empty, she blinked her eyes open and gingerly sat up. Even though the curtains were still drawn, the room was bright with sunlight. Scanning the room, she spied the ivory satin dressing gown draped over a mauve brocade chair. A frisson of uncertainly skittered through her as she moved to the edge of the bed, standing. Sylva slid into the liquid-beautiful gown, then wrapped it around her like a security blanket.

Zeke strolled to the window that provided the best view of the main street, a steaming mug of brewed coffee in one hand. Activity on New Year’s day was minimal, most everyone spent a lazy day or had private celebrations. From his latest investigation, it appeared Ranson had halted in New Peoria, over four hours away by air car. He took a careful sip, then savored. “Woowee, that’s tasty,” he whispered. It would be just like his old university rival to have discovered his marriage and planned a retaliation he justified. Hearing the tentative steps of his Sylva, he turned.

Saucer-Huge Kat Eyes

Greetings, Big Kitties, the Kougar is running on fumes, no, actually moi is sitting, attempting to keep her squinchy eyes open. The trek to hunt down life-needed supplies and driveway repair took it's energy-toll on the Kougaress. Thank the MightyCat Goddess for safe travels and organic chocolate.
Early this morning, before the light of dawn, the Kougar placed a What's New announcement on The Romance Studio Blue ~ as follows ~ Wagering in the World of the Blue Pearl Moon
For an interview with Baron Zaggry Dhio Vettura on the intrigue complexities of wagering in the World of the Blue Pearl Moon, check out Destiny Blaine's blog ~ destinyblaine.blogspot.com ~ Baron Vettura, hero of All Shades of Blue Paradise, Siren Publishing, will be available in the comment section to answer your questions.

Gosh and meow! The Kougar likes to have fun, and moi thought it would be an interesting experiment. So far, no takers on asking Baron Vettura questions, but yowling who knows? Certainly, for everyone who has commented on Destiny Blaine's blog, a roaring thanks of kitty-rubbing appreciation. And roaring-purring thanks to Destiny!
Saucer-huge kat eyes! my Beautiful Big Cats ~ what the Kougar didn't realize as a finalist in American Title IV.
For the inside scoop, and if you're planning on entering American Title V, and especially if you're one of the ten finalists ~ race at your most rapid run over to Title Magic for Mai's blog on how she gained tons o' votes for her entry, Prince of Darkness. Also, Helen, our esteemed winner with The Magic Knot will be blogging later on strategies she used, as well as how we all played the voting game.
Let the Kougar comment here, she was woefully inadequate in her get-out-the-vote skills!
Mew-sings below ~
Mai, what a spectacular campaign and fantastic suggestions. I'm in downright awe! Hey, I never had a shot against you. Actually, that makes me feel better, strange as that sounds.
What's next for you?

***
Mai, gee, I'm glad I didn't realize what I was truly up against. I had a good idea, and knew I was out-classed, which was one reason I decided on a different route. Hey, if you're not a race horse, maybe you're hunter.
But, really, it's a big relief to know what occurred in more concrete terms! I mean, I gave it my absolute best, but most first graders don't do algebra. Crummy analogy, but that's all I could think of...
Yeah, just take it easy as you can. Take care of your life. And when the right time comes, you'll be ready to write/submit your manuscripts.
Are you submitting? If you don't want to say, don't. Just thought I'd lend some support. Like a yippee!

***
Yay! Mel!
I know what you mean, about working as hard. I'm glad I did as much as I could, 'cause then I know I gave it my best. If nothing else.
I think, the fact, that you haven't been in the romance community could work to your advantage. A new voice. And I think the market is expanding to include all sorts of genres and voices.

Wide-eyed smooch from the Kougar...

All Hail the ATIV Queen

Today, Big Cats, belongs to Helen Scott Taylor, winner of the American Title IV contest with her entry, The Magic Knot.
For the fabulous cover art and some wonderful pics straight from the Romantic Times Convention ~ including Helen's daughter with Fabio ~ use those long kitty legs and run on over to Title Magic ~ titlemagic.blogspot.com ~
Moi's mews below.
Helen, fabulous!!! So glad I checked Title Magic today. Thanks for the pics of you and everyone. More than exciting. And, hey, it's not every girl who gets their picture taken with Fabio. LOL, I'm beginning to appreciate the vicarious thrill of it all. Helen, congratulations again! And like Anitra said, please share the process and your journey with us, as you can.
Kiss to the American Title IV Queen, Helen, from the Kougar...
