Yeah... the Computer Went South

Merriest of holidays to each of you, my lovely KitKats... yeah, meowsa-lousa, the Kougar’s computer went south for the Winter Solstice. Just too stinking bad it didn’t take this Big Cat girl with it and head down to the Caribbean for a much needed vacation. Yep, lazing beneath Sol on the beach. Snorkeling in the warm waters. A time to simply look at the sights, and enjoy.
And so, the daily drama continues ~ as The Hard Drive Turns ~ so far, the Kougar gets to connect to the world wide webbie now, but her old way and much better way of doing things is gone... hopefully, to be retrieved, along with her emails...

Part 359 ~

Sylva blinked at herself several times. Where that part of her had come from, she wasn’t certain. Yet, there it was. And she liked it, especially since Zeke remained close, keeping his protective hold on her. She gathered her thoughts slowly as she felt the vibrational force of the stone circle seep inside her, so like the ever-present wisps of mist. “Should we try it again?” Sylva eyed a more benign appearing creature, a jackrabbit who looked to be on watch for predators. “Darlin, could be the longer we’re here, the harder it could be to leave this other-worldly place.”

Zeke surely surged with pride in his wife’s magical ability. His amazement at what had occurred with the Fire Phoenix felt like a powerful elixir that he wanted to continue pouring through him. It was damn tempting to discover more about the mysteries within the Stone Gateway as it was called in the stories. And, dang, if he didn’t want to find out what other sorceries Sylva could accomplish. Still, concern beat a path through him. “Do you hear that drumbeat?” she softly asked as she leaned into his body. Zeke cocked his ear, listening for all he was worth.

Discolored Sun

8/31/2009, 7 AM-- I walked out from my house and saw the most amazing coloration of the sun I have ever seen! The desert is choked with smoke from the fires burning in Los Angeles and ash falls from above [about an hour away]. Think I'll stay inside today.

Late evening purrs, my loveliest KitKats, the Kougar is too worn out to rant and roar over her lack of internet access today. What the problem is, moi has no real clue.
It may be time to take the tower in for de-bugging and a good cleaning.
Oh, latest news and mews ~ it appears this Big Cat has been saved, since she was finally able to access Coast to Coast via IE.
Truth and rumbly mumby cursing... only, the Firefox browser has, at least, given moi some spotty access.
Looks like Los Angeles is in the frying pan right now with all the wildfires threatening the city. Blessings to all those who are there. I’d get out if I were you. The smoke is seriously harming a lot people’s lungs.
The Baja area of Mexico is under a serious Hurricane warning and might be getting hit right now. Bless everyone there.

So, the Kougar ‘might’ be able to post her SHAPESHIFTER SEDUCTIONS bloggie for Tuesday. Though, it looks like no bull will be included. Yep, that’s no bull. Moi was up to her neck managing other problems and having limited access to the web didn’t help.

However, she did get quite a bit done on editing STALLION OF ASH AND FLAME... yay and lots of glad meows!

Sylva desperately wanted to focus on Zeke, what was happening. However, Marina’s speculative gaze held her attention. “Big brother is holding out on us. Is it for a good reason?” Deciding Marina had given her a viable option, Sylva nodded and offered, “It is.” Grant palmed his wife’s forearm gently. “Leave it alone for now, precious.” His tone was laid back, yet firm. “Let’s get some grub going. Make everything look normal.” Marina leaned against her husband, petite against his imposing frame. “You’re right, lover. Would you like a menu, Sylva?” Marina smiled graciously. “I don’t see one.” Sylva looked again.

Zeke didn’t lessen his ready-to-shoot position. “Ranson, buddy boy, is it safe to give me the details here?” Zeke narrowed his gaze, searching for any telltale signs that he was about to be bushwacked, as Ranson slowly turned around to face him. In a natural movement, Ranson showed him his empty hands. “Safe as anywhere. Your bride was frequency-recognized as they say. Those who are interested in her ‘unusual’ abilities locked onto her soon after she crossed into our world. It’s a new technology,” Ranson explained at Zeke’s questioning gaze. “How new?” Damn, if he didn’t feel sliced up inside.
