Meows! Frisky and fabulous Felines... finally, the Kougaress got to sample one of her volunteer-growing Plucky tomatoes... she couldn’t tell how ripe the cherry-sized tomatoes were... well, because she didn’t know what kind of tomato species it was exactly... since she planted several different varieties last year that were different colors... but my, omy! Delicious is not the word... yum, yum, yum! And, there’s more. Hopefully, they’ll ripen soon. And, here’s hoping some seed will get saved for next year. KitKats, you could have guessed this science-based info was true... but, having sex is a brain booster... give a glimpse to the article below... this Big Cat can already hear it... husbands, significant others and boyfriends will be saying something along the lines of... you want me to work smarter, honey... you gotta give me some sugar tonight... okay, insert your own appropriate dialogue here... Wow, those bears are really getting their brave groove on lately... going for joy rides in cars... enjoying the hot tub experience... dodging the law by escaping out a window... dining on fruit, then grabbing a teddy bear on the way out... and now, the Kougaress just heard a story about a woman in New Mexico, who was staying with her neighbor because their was a bear in her house and no one from her local control agency had shown up yet to evict the big furry critter.~~~~~~

Lovely cool-dry-air evening, my Summer-rolling Kittens... thank the ever-loving heavens the temps on the tame prairie did not reach the forecasted high heat... o-meow-my, you should see the beautiful heavy blossoms adorning one moi’s bushes... one close to the doggie area... yep, the fertilizing is all too good.~~~
There was a strangely colored moon a couple of days ago. First Luna Belle was a delectable shade of pale lemon... later, in the dark before dawn, the moon was this intense shade of orange... not like a Halloween harvest moon... but blood-orange red... the Kougaress is forced to wonder what is in the atmosphere.~~~
Oh dreamy-eyed Felines, this Big Cat was rescued in her early morning dream by Armondo, Adrian Paul’s twin brother, or so he tells me. The coloring of this particular dream was vivid as if it took place during a Latin dance festival. It used to be that moi rescued others in her dreams. Of late, occasionally, she is rescued. Very much needed, too. In this dream Armondo encouraged this Big Cat girl to become beautiful again and be with him, to join with him in life... unfortunately not in a rolling-around passionate way... although, that seemed to be something that would happen in the future. So too bad moi woke up before this grand impassioned scene took place.~~~

BIG CAT BEWARE AND TAKE CARE ~Truly, some people have gone to the insane side. When did it become acceptable for Americans to wear identifying arm bands? That’s what is happening in Indiana where the tornadoes hit. A fellow who survived called in on Coast to Coast am, and said they [the media and police] were lying about the looting going on, that there was none, and that an out-of-area SWAT commander had arrived and taken over their area with his team. People are being forced to register at a government building just to go about their usual business. This is exactly what Hitler did to the Germans. And this is truly the insane part, the unbelievable part, folks are making up excuses for this, as if it’s okay to treat other Americans this way. All this Big Cat can say is, gee wally willickers, have fun in that there concentration FEMA camp. Yep, the authorities are just there to protect you.~~~~~~

Beautiful Big Cats, how has your day been? Busy, busy, and strange for the Kougaress, including trying help an older gentleman get back home who couldn’t speak well enough to be understood. The tame prairie is not the place to get lost in, either... it can be downright dangerous... however, a happy conclusion eventually came about after much effort on the parts of several of us.~~~
CHEAP, NON-TOXIC FLY TRAP... and it’s free, free, free!!! What is it, friends? Well, this Big Cat likes to collect and pour her gray water on the plants outside, inside, too. Anyway, she’d put water in a Paul Newman pasta sauce jar to rinse it out and was planning to add that water to her gray water... well, overnight, several flies met their untimely demise, floating on top of the water in the jar... not that there are that many flies around... in fact, none now.
ANOTHER TIP: Purchase lots of sea salt. No, not the crappy table salt stuff, but real sea salt. It has all the good minerals in it that your body needs. Since it looks as though THEY are making salt an enemy of mankind, now is the time to make certain you have this life-necessary substance and stock up on the good kind.~~~

From what I’ve seen so far.” Moving inward, she continued, “This looks like a suite at the Ritz, as they’d say on my Earth.” Her cowboy husband embraced her from behind. “Is that so?” he bantered. Sylva let go, leaning back against his strength. “Yep. What next?” She ran her hands over his arms, caressing him. “I think the day is catching up with me.” She sighed, then added, “Now that all the excitement is temporarily over. Oh, wait, the download.”
Zeke frowned, wondering how to handle Coon’s download. This was new runnin’ territory for him. “What do you think, darlin’? I’ll bet you’d like a tub soak.” His woman turned in his arms. “Do you have something to record with? Once it’s out, I have a feeling I may not be able to recall the details... if that makes sense. Sylva chilled at the way the bullet-drilled bastard laughed, the sound reminding her of too many late night horror movies. As if she stood outside herself, she wondered at her own relative coolness in the face of all that occurred. So far. “Maybe, we ought to put a hole in his head,” she muttered. “See what comes out.” Aiming her gaze, she pretended to laser a hole that would show her the answers to Zeke’s questions. Amazingly, the man screamed clutching his head as if she’d actually done what she imagined. Shaken, bewildered, she trembled for moments, staring at him.
Zeke would have fired, adding another hole in the bushwhacker’s hide, except that his scream keened like a tortured animal. “Make the witch stop!” he hollered, rocking back and forth. Seizing his advantage, whatever it was, Zeke demanded,” Talk, or I’ll have her do worse.” At that same instant, Aunt Martha entered with her prisoner. “Oh, gawd, no! It’s the witch!” the first bushwhacker yelled as if he was about to be eaten alive. “If I’m *the witch*, somebody better start talking. Or, I’m going to start adding to the toad population,” his Sylva boldly stated. The shot bushwhacker writhed.

Yes, it’s a first, my delightfully sinful KitKats, a blogging first that is... Saturday, March 13th, the Kougar is blogging at ROMANCE WRITERS BEHAVING BADLY... what about, you purr curiously... well, mostly she’s offering one of her x-rated Flash Fiction pieces... but the real fun was in the research for a pic... okay, yes, Adrian Paul heads the list and moi was searching out a pic of him from Tracker, a sci fi, short term TV series he starred in... well, wonder of wonders, she found this great shot of him when he’d been captured by the bad guys and lay spread-eagled out on a medical-type table attired only in his undies... well, dang and hang it, the pic can’t be retrieved anywhere that this Big Cat could find... scratches of fierce frustration... RAWRRRRR... so, moi only got the thumbnail... what the problem is, hasn’t been stated anywhere that this fury-snarling Big Cat has found... so... what a mighty deprivation!!! So not what the world needs now.And! HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to Adrian Paul and Alexandra on the recent birth of their baby girl. May all parenting joys ensue.~~~~~~

Is Daylight Savings Dangerous?

Is something unseen threatening our safety? Since Daylight Savings time starts on Sunday, March 14, we'd better figure out how to protect ourselves.
Daylight Saving Time can be hazardous for your health. On average, people go to work or school on the first Monday of Daylight Saving after sleeping 40 fewer minutes than normal. And recent studies have found there's a higher risk of heart attacks, traffic accidents and workplace injuries on the first Monday of Daylight Saving. Researcher Nidhi Undevia says, "Many people already are chronically sleep-deprived, and Daylight Saving Time can make them even more tired for a few days."
How to get ready? Neurologist Ronald D. Chervin says it can be as simple as going to sleep and waking up earlier by 15 minute intervals in the days leading up to Sunday's change.
Teenagers are especially hard hit by Daylight Savings A study on the impact of light on teenagers' sleeping habits finds that insufficient daily morning light exposure contributes to teenagers not getting enough sleep (thus falling asleep in class).
But it's not just Daylight Savings that's the problem: Researcher Mariana Figueiro says, "As teenagers spend more time indoors, they miss out on essential morning light needed to stimulate the body's 24-hour biological system, which regulates the sleep/wake cycle. These morning-light-deprived teenagers are going to bed later, getting less sleep and possibly under-performing on standardized tests. If you remove light in the morning, it delays the onset of melatonin, the hormone that indicates to the body when it's nighttime. We are starting to call this the teenage night owl syndrome."
The problem is that today's middle and high schools have rigid schedules requiring teenagers to be in school very early in the morning. These students are likely to miss the morning light because they are often traveling to and arriving at school before the sun is up or as it's just rising. In addition, the schools are cost cutting and probably not providing adequate electric light or daylight to stimulate this biological or circadian system, which regulates body temperature, alertness, appetite, hormones and sleep patterns.
We spend a third of our lives asleep, but scientists don't exactly know why. Napoleon claimed he only needed a few hours of sleep a night, and Margaret Thatcher boasted that she only needed 5 hours of sleep when she was the prime minister of Britain. But most adults need 7 to 8 hours of sleep a night and children need more, about 10 to 11 hours a night.
Psychologist Jenn Vriend says, "There are so many theories out there, but [sleep is] still one of the great unsolved mysteries of science."

Their gazes caught, then locked as nothing could ever unlock them. To Sylva it was more than their incredibly passionate hunger for each other. Tiny flashes of light seemed to leap between their eyes, more and more, and faster, even if the sparks remained subtle.
