2012 ~ Time Synchronicity and Libraries

It’s a beautiful evening on the tame prairie. Maows, my frisky and fab-taskic KitKats... yes, the sunset, after a stormy threat during the afternoon, was a flaming gorgeous tangerine in color.

Oh-so whirl-a-cat busy with all the writer’s biz stuff. It’s good, but yep, duct tape required to the keep the noggin from exploding like an over-ripe melon. Looks like we’ll have another wonderful guest author at SHAPESHIFTER SEDUCTIONS soon. Plus, if the plans do not go awry, an updated look for the blog.

This Big Cat noticed that Aspen Mountain Press had uploaded some of their ebooks to BookStrand to use as another selling venue. The Kougar is hoping her ebook with AMP, TANGERINE CARNAL DREAMS, will soon be included.

2012 ~ Time Synchronicity ~ it’s sort of a wowser. At 2:12 am the Kougar began working on finishing [not quite there] her two year anniversary scene for Sedona and Volcano, not as an intended time to begin, simply as one of those neat synchronicity occurrences... THEN, today, 2:12 pm stood out when this Big Cat gave a cursory glance at the time. 2012 strikes twice. Bing! Bang! Moi got hit between the eyes.

What’s the significance of 2012 in this instance? Since it’s easier to explain this way... here’s the book blurb ~

Part 613 ~

Sylva took a split second to make certain it wasn’t Zeke emerging through the door, then she pulled both triggers. And kept firing as she slowly moved backwards. She felt her stomach clench in sheer terror, yet determination gripped her. Stopped in his tracks the Darth Vader like soldier seemed about to topple over. Behind him, another soldier aimed what looked like a giant funnel at her. Shooting one of her guns at his shielded face, she stood her ground. Glad both pistols kept firing, Sylva felt her skin begin to burn. “No!” she screamed. And tried to shoot faster.

Zeke sighted the fully charged ray rifle the moment he saw the robotic soldier stepping through his room’s door. Blasting, he moved forward at a fast pace. With satisfaction, he watched the thing crumple to the ground. He ran, his heart trapped in his throat. She had to be okay his woman. Some part of him knew his Sylva remained alive. Still, the moment he caught a glimpse of the other Secret Circle soldier listing, then falling over, he aimed and added his fire. “Zeke!” he heard his bride shout, near hysteria. “Darlin’ mine,” he called out. “I’m comin’ in.”

The Kougaress heard something yesterday she thought she’d never hear in her lifetime, except in a terrifying apocalyptic movie.

BY ORDER OF THE CITY OF PITTSBURG CHIEF OF POLICE: THIS IS AN UNLAWFUL ASSEMBLY ~~~insert here, the sound cannons, as they’re called, being used against the people~~~ good lord, those things, even over internet radio are ghastly, enough to make you sick to your stomach and feel temporarily nuts.
But WTF!!! There is no such thing as an unlawful or illegal assembly by the very definition of the word, assembly, itself. On public property people can assemble anywhere they want, anytime they want. No, any curfew or other code is not actually legal. It’s simply enforced as if it is. Hey, they’ve got the guns and the tasers ~ and usually, the money.
Assembling is not rioting, by definition. Assembling, as most people were doing, is not a small idiot group of anarchists with drug-fried brains led by fed and police provocateurs, who put on a convenient show for the mainstream media.

Part 272 ~

Sylva straightened. Was she about to hear a ‘ribald night’ story? Part of her was downright curious. Part of her wasn’t certain she wanted to know, yet. Zeke slid his arm around her shoulders, encouraging her closer. “The tales of my ribald nights at university will have to wait. My bride needs her supper. Marina is giving me the ferocious eye.” Zeke chuckled deeply. “Do you know what you’d like, darlin’?” Sylva had lost track of what she’d been hungry for. Still... “Actually, pancakes sound good. But with whipped cream and a fruit topping. Is that on the menu here?”

Zeke grabbed a screen menu and quickly unrolled it to the pancake selections. “There are dessert pancakes,” Marina helpfully offered, then summoned up the order panel. “Right as usual, sis.” Zeke enlarged that part of the menu with a touch and placed it before his Sylva’s gaze. “Strawberries,” she praised as if she’d found some delight long lost to her. “This selection looks good.” She pressed her finger on the buttermilk pancakes topped with strawberries, honey and cream.” Zeke took a peek at her face. “Is that all?” She nodded in answer. “If you’re still hungry we’ll get something else.”

I decided to re-work an older painting of mine (circa 1990's) on CorelDraw that depicted just such a battle above the Earth... Mewing-perchance, one of these days, they will move beyond their prejudice after a proper and deliberate application of claws and fangs.

Oh, my darling-est Big KitKats, warning smooches. Level six has been declared by the WHO as a consequence of them redefining what pandemic means. Yep, the big bad swine flu is here, they say, and about to get us. However, precious Big Cats, what will get us first is big brother. Under level six you have no rights. If you’re on a plane traveling and show any flu-like symptoms you can be detained and quarantined for as long as ‘they’ designate. The same is true if you’re crossing the Canadian or Mexican border. And, sadly, if you’re in a city where several swine flu cases show up, oops, they can literally lock everything down. That means possibly not going to work or being allowed to go anywhere at all.
Furthermore, if you are like this Big Cat you are likely to go into anaphalatic shock if forced to take the vaccine. Well, meow and so long, it’s paws up and hello heaven.

His extra large fingertips swirled a cooling salve on her left butt cheek, then on her right cheek. His touch was deft and gentle, almost clinical. With her throat so constricted she could barely swallow, Kylie asked, “What’s in it?”

Part 166 ~

Sylva leaned on her cowboy’s strength. Somewhere deep inside she felt emotionally safe enough to lean on him as a woman leans on her man. She’d never had that before. She also felt a sense of being safe, unknown to her, and realized down to her soul he wouldn’t hesitate to protect her. There was such an obvious contrast between him and the males she’d known. The difference blazed through her, obvious and enormous as if a big screen movie wrapped around her. Did she dare hope it would always be so? God, how she wanted to believe in him.

Zeke paused, holding his bride close, once he pushed through door. Dawn waited around the corner to bloom its light upon the blessed Earth. Now, the blackest part of night surrounded them. The sweet sage scents carried on the heavier air filled his nostrils. He’d always been fond of this time, before dawn broke and morning arrived. Scanning around them, he alertly focused all of his senses for any sign of trouble. When his Sylva yawned he peered down at her. How did he explain to her that she would require his fiercest protection? Merlin’s blood ran in her veins.
