The Wall Street Journal has retracted a false claim reporting that Infowars radio host Alex Jones instructed Trump supporters to invade the US Capitol on Wednesday.
In an article published Thursday, the WSJ claimed Jones stood on top of a vehicle shouting at attendees of the pro-Trump rally to press forward.
Here’s the passage from the article, headlined, “At the U.S. Capitol, Milling Crowd Sparked Riot in a Few Crucial Minutes“:
Bottles flew up from the rioting crowd toward police on the inaugural dais. Flash-bang grenades fired into the crowd by the police at the stand’s base let off plumes of white smoke; some in the farther reaches of the crowd on the Capitol lawn laughed. Some rioters staggered back from the center of the crowd to douse their eyes and faces after being hit with chemical irritants.
Soon the far-right talk conspiracy theorist Alex Jones appeared atop a vehicle parked on the Capitol lawn with a bullhorn, out of range of the police projectiles, to urge the rioters forward.
The paper had to retract its false narrative, however, after it was easily contradicted by witness accounts and footage from the rally showing Jones pleading with protesters not to invade the building.
An amendment added to the bottom of the article Friday now reflects the truth that Jones was attempting to prevent the incursion.
“The conspiracy theorist Alex Jones urged Trump supporters not to attack police and to move to the east side of the Capitol,” the Journal’s correction notes. “An earlier version of this article incorrectly said Mr. Jones urged rioters attacking the Capitol to move forward.”
It’s indeed a rare day when the fake news mainstream media issues a correction admitting they were wrong. We commend their efforts to set the record straight.

More Proof Antifa Infiltrated US Capitol Debacle
As mainstream media laughs at the concept of Antifa militants embedding themselves into the group of Trump supporters marching in the nation’s capital on Tuesday, more proof of these infiltrators emerges.
Despite video footage and law enforcement confirmation, the narrative that Antifa intentionally escalated the situation is being mocked by the entire establishment.

Democrats are trying to assume the moral high ground by calling out violence in the wake of Capitol protests, but footage shows Democrat leaders have made multiple calls for violence over the last four years.
Footage compiled on social media capture statements made by several prominent Democrats threatening violence as a result of Trump derangement syndrome.

Never Forget: When the Democrat-Media Complex is freaking out over some atrocious act it’s typically something they’ve condoned for years.
In 2018 the Democrats stormed the US Capitol during the Brett Kavanaugh hearings.
It was OK back then.
There was cheered on by the left.
Don Surber reported how the media portrayed these brave activists who stormed the capitol in 2018.
On that date, The Hill reported, “More than 300 people were taken into custody by police on Capitol Hill after descending on a pair of Senate office buildings Thursday afternoon to protest the confirmation process of Brett Kavanaugh, President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee.
“The vast majority of the arrests, 293, were a result of protests in the Hart Senate Office Building, where protesters crowded in the atrium. Loud chants could be heard throughout the building, which is structured so the hallways of each floor open up and look out onto the first floor.
“Those arrested in Hart were charged with crowding, obstructing or incommoding, according to Capitol Police. Another nine people were arrested on the fourth floor of Dirksen Senate Office Building and charged with unlawful demonstrations.”
CNN also called the crowd protesters.
On Wednesday, CNN called pro-Trump protesters who stormed the Capitol “rioters.”
NPR called them “far-right insurrectionists.”
In 2018, NPR called the anti-Kavanaugh crowd “demonstrators” and titled its coverage of the storming: ” ‘We Believe Survivors’: Demonstrators Throng Capitol Hill To Protest Kavanaugh”
