Heavily-armed citizens keep protest from getting out of hand
Footage out of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho shows a downtown area packed with hundreds of gun-toting Americans ready to defend their city should looters and rioters arrive from out of town.
After rumors of looters from nearby Spokane, Washington coming to the city next, Coeur d’Alene residents banded together and armed themselves in case trouble started.
The footage was shot on Monday evening, one day after riots erupted in Spokane.
One local news source described Sunday night in Spokane as “a frenzied night of tear gas, rubber bullets and flash-bangs” while police worked tirelessly to end the vandalism and looting.
At one point, the Spokane Police Department actually sent out a cellphone alert warning everyone in the region to “avoid the downtown core area”…
Spokane Police were forced to issue an alert that was sent to cellphones across the greater Spokane area on Sunday. “A civil disturbance is occurring in the downtown Spokane area. Please avoid the downtown core area from Fifth Avenue to Mission Street and Division Street to Maple Street. Thank you, Spokane Police Department,” read the alert.
Spokane’s Mayor issued an immediate curfew just before 9:00 p.m. Police used tear gas and rubber bullets to get control of protesters who were rioting and in the downtown area of Spokane, destroying property. Rioters sprayed graffiti, broke windows, and looted select businesses.
Come Monday, Coeur d’Alene residents were prepared to host protesters, but were also ready to defend their town if any rotten apples came along as seen in Spokane.
“If you guys are thinking about coming to Couer d’Alene to riot, loot, you better fucking think again because we ain’t having it,” said the cameraman as he showed hundreds of heavily-armed citizens.
Black Lives Matter protesters did eventually make their way to the city, but there was no violence or property damage.
In fact, the gun-toting locals embraced the protesters and despite all of the weaponry, police noted, “we had no incidents.”
Could it be possible that the sheer amount of firepower was enough to prevent looting and rioting in the first place?

Conservative commentator Candace Owens slammed the black community’s support of George Floyd, saying efforts to portray him as a martyr are symbolic of America’s “broken black culture.”
In a heated 17-minute rant, Owens delves into US crime statistics, Floyd’s criminal past, and why she believes protesters are once again being misled.

“It has been weighing very heavily on my heart and on my mind,” Owens said.
“There was so much pressure for me to go with the popular opinion about who George Floyd was.”
“We are being sold a lot of lies at the detriment to the black community, at the detriment to the white community and at the detriment to America as a whole.”
“So, I want to come out and say that I do not support George Floyd and the media’s depiction of him as a martyr for black America.”
Owens went on to claim black Americans are frequently manipulated into defending “the bottom denominator of our society,” as discussed by American author Shelby Steele.
“Not every black American is a criminal. Not every black American is committing crimes. But we are unique in that we are the only people that fight and scream and demand support for the people in our community that are up to no good,” Owens said, referring to Floyd.
“You would be hard pressed to find a Jewish person who has spent five stints in prison, who commits a crime and dies while committing a crime and that the Jewish people demand justice for.”
“You would be hard pressed to find this in white America … even in Latino America.”
“What I am saying is not any defense for Derek Chauvin,” Owens clarified, adding, “The family of George Floyd deserves justice for the way that he died, but I also am not going to accept the narrative that this is the best the black community has to offer.

Owens also pointed out protesters are lifting Floyd to the level of civil rights leader Martin Luther King, Jr.

Petition urges ‘maximum sentence’ for man who tortured dog
Footage showing a Memphis rioter strangling a dog on live TV sparked outrage after the canine was reportedly later found dead.
In sick footage seen Monday during a live shot from WATN Local 24, the man can be seen behind a reporter bragging he stole a puppy before lifting a dog by its collar and swinging it around.
A follow-up from animal rights activists claimed the dog was later found dead.
“Dog has been confirmed dead,” wrote an animal rights activist on Facebook. “He tied a cable around the dogs neck and hung him on a fence. Please help identify him. Animals did nothing and their voice needs heard just as much.” [sic]
The call for justice was taken up by a Facebook group named the “Justice for Dogs Network,” and echoed by animal welfare group The Kris Kelly Foundation, which offered a $500 reward “to find this man at a protest on Beale Street.”
A petition, signed by over 66 thousand people as of writing, also appeared at Change.orgcalling for the arrest of, and a maximum sentence for the man seen with the dog:
“The sick torture on live tv and eventual hanging/murder of an innocent animal on a fence is horrendous!” states the petition.
“We demand Memphis Police and DA take immediate action arrest and enforce maximum penalty for this innocent, voiceless, dog. This is a horrible act from a dangerous man obviously without conscious. Show the country we will not tolerate animal abuse and we will stop it!”
