The judge overseeing Roger Stone’s criminal trial has approved an ex-Obama administration press secretary as a juror whose husband still works for the Justice Dept. division that played a role in the Russia probe that snared Stone.
Judge Amy Berman Jackson, who was appointed by former President Obama in 2011, denied a request from Stone’s legal team to strike the juror from the case on Tuesday morning.
“[The] first juror was an only-in-D.C. character, a former Obama-era press secretary for the Office of Management and Budget whose husband still works at the Justice Department division that played a role in the Russia probe that ultimately snagged Stone,” reportedPolitico. “She even acknowledged to having negative views of President Donald Trump, and said she had followed the media coverage of special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation.”
“Still, the woman said she did not have strong views about Stone, and Judge Amy Berman Jackson, who is overseeing the case, denied a request from Stone’s lawyers to strike the woman as a potential juror.”
The Office of Management and Budget is the largest office within the executive branch of government and it directly supports the work of the president.
In particular, the office prepares the president’s proposed budget that is sent to Congress.
So far this has been the only juror who has been approved by the judge.

Husband badly beaten by thieves before wife opened fire
A brutal home invasion was thwarted by a pregnant woman armed with an AR-15, according to reports.
An unidentified woman in Lithia, Fla., reportedly opened fire on two men who were viciously attacking her husband and his 11-year-old daughter.
“I’ve got a fractured eye socket, a fractured sinus cavity, a concussion, 20 stitches and three staples in my head,” Jeremy King told Bay News 9. “I took a severe beating.”
Kings says two men in masks burst into his home on Wednesday night and demanded money while pointing guns at him.
“They came in heavily-hooded and masked. As soon as they had got the back door opened, they had a pistol on me and was grabbing my 11-year-old daughter,” King said.
“I’m telling them, ‘I have nothing for you,’ and they’re like, ‘Give me everything you got.’ It became real violent, real fast.”
King says the men began pistol-whipping him and kicking him in the head before his wife, who is eight months pregnant, became aware of the situation
After one of the men shot at her, she retrieved a legally-owned AR-15 rifle and returned fire, hitting one suspect as they both fled.
“When he came toward the back door in her line of sight, she clipped him,” King explained. “He made it from my back door to roughly 200 feet out in the front ditch before the AR did its thing.”
“Them guys came in with two normal pistols and my AR stopped it,” he said. “(My wife) evened the playing field and kept them from killing me.”
Police later found one suspect deceased in a ditch nearby, and are searching for the other.

The View panel lamented 2020 candidate Beto O’Rourke dropping out, saying that his extreme anti-gun rhetoric hurt the Democrat platform and put gun owners on their guard.
That’s when Behar took a page right out of the totalitarian playbook, claiming that politicians should lie to their constituents to achieve their unconstitutional agendas.

President Trump declared war against ruthless drug cartels on Tuesday following reports that they mass murdered nine U.S. Mormons on Mexican soil.
The Mormon group, comprised of seventeen members of the LeBaron and Langford families, were on their way to a wedding before half were mercilessly burned alive in a “targeted hit” by Mexican drug cartels.
“A wonderful family and friends from Utah got caught between two vicious drug cartels, who were shooting at each other, with the result being many great American people killed, including young children, and some missing,” Trump tweeted.

UK NATIONAL HEALTH SERVICE TO DENY TREATMENT TO ‘RACISTS’ AND ‘SEXISTS’
What could possibly go wrong?
A National Health Service (NHS) trust in the UK has announced that it will deny treatment to patients it deems are ‘racists’ or ‘sexists’.
No, this is not the Onion.
The North Bristol NHS Trust said that “threatening and offensive language,” as well as “racist or sexist language, gestures or behaviour” and “malicious allegations” would all be punishable offenses.
Patients who commit such an infraction will be subject to a “sports-style disciplinary yellow card and then final red card in which treatment would be withdrawn as soon as is safe.”
“We have staff from many different backgrounds, from all over the world, and we pride ourselves on our commitment to equality which is a fundamental value of the NHS,” said Andrea Young, Chief Executive for North Bristol NHS Trust.
“We’re sending a strong signal that any racism or discrimination is completely unacceptable – we want staff to challenge and report it and we want everyone to know that it will have consequences,” she added.
The problem here of course is that the definition of what constitutes ‘racism’ or ‘sexism’ gets broader with each passing day.
As Jack Montgomery highlights, “In late 2017 an NHS patient who requested a female nurse to carry out a cervical smear complained when the hospital sent a person with “an obviously male appearance… close-cropped hair, a male facial appearance and voice, large number of tattoos and facial stubble” who insisted “My gender is not male. I’m a transsexual”.
Foster parents have also had children removed from their care by the state because they were supporters of UKIP and not vehement supporters of “multiculturalism.”
The University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust also ordered that the British flag be removed from security staff stab vests after one person complained that it was “offensive.”
This is even worse than China’s social credit score, which to my knowledge doesn’t yet punish people by withdrawing medical treatment if they engage in wrongthink.
First it was deplatforming people from social media websites, then it was deplatforming people from bank accounts and mortgages. Now it’s deplatforming people from hospital treatment.
Literally eliminating people’s right to basic health care because of their political or social opinions.
