Late afternoon yowls and mews, Autumn-resplendent Kitkats... several gray overcast *downer* days on the tame prairie... but now its sunny and warm... a storm could be moving in along with a cold front... anyhoo, overall, the weather has been most wonderful... wow, lots of military jet activity yesterday... the nuke-powered craft... so, this Big Cat is still cutting away on the thorn tree that fell over the dive in an arch... a lot of the poison ivy vines have been cut away... and make no mistake those thorns are deadly nasty... maybe the Kougaress should form some kind of weapon of them... yeah, right, if she had the time and energy... anyway, the beautiful yellow butterflies have been fluttering about... and this Big Cat has even seen a couple of bees on the tiny wildflower daisies.

Stand your ground whenever necessary, darling kittens. Take care of each other, and do business with the good guys and gals, not the big cold conglomerates. And remember, this Big Cat loves ya!

At first Ginny Goslin didn’t think anything of it. People hung out in the town square all the time, at all hours of the day and night. However, as a goose-shifter, she was especially sensitive to the signs of flocking behavior. When the same faces kept drifting past Java Joe’s front window, she started to notice.

She noticed also how others appeared, so that what had been pairs quickly grew to small groups. That the groups consisted primarily of carnivore shifters didn’t do any good for her already-jittery nerves.

She continued to watch, growing more nervous by the minute. No doubt about it. There were predators in the town square, and they were congregating.

Kitty sighed with deep frustration, which turned into an exasperated huff. Her inner cat tail slashed back and forth as she stared at the fat brown envelope on her office desk. Dante, her mate and the alpha werewolf owner of the Pleasure Club, had stuffed it with money, and with the town's currency, Talbies.

Hoping to soothe herself, Kitty took a sip of her brewing tea, a lavender blend she found particularly lovely to inhale, as well as to drink. After wriggling into a more comfortable position, she cradled her pleasantly warm mug.

Intentionally, Kitty blanked her mind. For now...phssssst. Bast, before she had a hissing fit, and morphed into her feline form.

In the wake of the shooting in Roseburg Oregon last week, the president immediately took to his podium and angrily told the nation that such instances had become “routine”, and would stay that way without further gun control laws.
Admitting he has no qualms about politicizing the incident, Obama is scheduled to fly to Oregon in conjunction with the first funerals of the Umpqua College shooting victims.
But not if community leaders and Roseburg residents have any say in the matter.
A Facebook page has been setup in an effort to organise a protest. The page, called Defend Roseburg-Deny Barack Obama, states:
    The anointed one his majesty king 0bama and the White House have announced a Friday arrival in Roseburg, Oregon in the wake of Oct 1st’s horrific tragedy at UCC.
    Polarizing as usual, Mr 0bama has insisted on politicizing the event as a conduit for increased executive orders on gun control via means of his pen, and his phone.
    This blatant disrespect of the victims families, the community and the town of Roseburg, Mr 0bama’s administration is flying not just the 747 that is airforce one to Oregon, but a three helicopter team of Sikorsky’s that make up HMX-1, known as Marine one to travel to Roseburg at the taxpayers expense.
    We need a lot of people. Please come show your support for Roseburg, not the little man who has no respect for the constitution.
David Jacques, publisher of the Roseburg Beacon, also told Bill O’Reilly Monday that the people of Roseburg would not welcome Obama.
Jacques said that community leaders, including Douglas County commissioners, the police chief and local sheriff, do not want Obama to come grandstand in Roseburg for political purposes.
“He wants to come to our community and stand on the corpses of our loved one to make some sort of a political point.” said Jacques, noting that Obama was grandstanding before the body count had even been filed.
Jacques also noted that the Westboro Baptist Church was slated to arrive in Roseburg in an effort to disrupt funerals of the victims.
“There’s an effort to keep the families isolated from this.” Jacques said.

It’s been roughly 36 hours since a patriot in Oregon—local activist Casey Runyan—posted on Facebook to say that “on Friday, we assemble.” Runyan’s words were a direct call to patriots in the Pacific NW to stand with citizens in Roseburg who have already made it clear that Obama is not welcome there for his planned visit on Friday. The call was regional…but the answer was national. The rally went viral. Not even the mainstream Obama cheering section can ignore it anymore.
...What really stands out about this rally isn’t just the national distaste for yet another narcissistic move by the naked emperor. It’s the patriots who already left from Ohio to make it to Oregon by Friday to stand with the citizens of Roseburg. It’s the guy who, on his own, collected a few hundred dollars from patriots across the country to provide high-quality signs for the rally. It’s the hundreds and hundreds of comments from people in every state…prayers and support from Tampa Bay to Anchorage, Honolulu to NYC. People offering money and resources and skills to make sure that the event is safe, responsible, and sends the right message—namely, that Obama is not welcome in Roseburg, Oregon.
