Sunday into Monday yowls, howls, and growls, magical and mysterious Big Cat Beauties... the temps have fallen to freezing on the tame prairie... the Kougaress listened to the rain whenever she awoke during her sleep period, and the nice drenching rains lasted until around noon... so what the land needed, and this Big Cat is grateful.

Watch your darling tails this week. Lots going on, and not to the good. Remember, this Big Cat loves ya!

Teenagers in Africa Create Electricity Generator That Runs on Urine

- Believe it or not, electricity is one of the most abundant resources on the planet, the only thing that is difficult is finding ways to tap into this energy safely.

Many inventors and scientists since Nikola Tesla have discovered ways to solve this problem effectively, but due to the radical change that this would bring to the social structure, these technologies have always been suppressed.

In Africa where central power grids are few and far in between, generators are an everyday part of life. Just recently 4 teenage girls created one of the most cost effective generators that you could possibility think of in terms of fuel, because it’s fuel source, human urine, is widely abundant.

The urine powered generator made its debut at Maker Faire Africa in Lagos, Nigeria, this week.  According to the Maker Faire Africa website, this is how the generator works:

    • Urine is put into an electrolytic cell, which separates out the hydrogen.

    • The hydrogen goes into a water filter for purification, and then into a gas cylinder, which looks similar to the kind used for outdoor barbecue grills.

    • The gas cylinder pushes the filtered hydrogen into another cylinder that contains liquid borax, in order to remove moisture from the gas. Borax is a natural mineral, commonly used in laundry detergent.

    • The hydrogen is pushed into a power generator in the final step of the process.

The only serious disadvantage to using a hydrogen based fuel source is that it causes and increased risk of explosion. However, the girls have even considered a safety mechanism to prevent this from happening.

WND – On Nov. 6, Americans voted to return Barack Obama to the White House; then on Nov. 7, some folks in Louisiana petitioned the White House to peaceably withdraw their state from the Union.
Coincidence?
According to the White House website, the petition was created by Michael E. (full last name not provided) of Slidell, La., the day after the election and has since been electronically signed by a few hundred people, most – but not all – of whom hail from the Pelican State.
“We petition the Obama administration to: Peacefully grant the State of Louisiana to withdraw from the United States of America and create its own NEW government,” the petition reads.
It continues, “As the Founding Fathers of the United States of America made clear in the Declaration of Independence in 1776: ‘When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.’”
The petition concludes with a further quote from the Declaration of Independence: “‘Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, that whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or abolish it, and institute new Government.’”
The petition has until Dec. 7 of this year to gather 25,000 signatures, at which time, the White House pledges, it will be placed on a queue for response from the administration.
