Thunder and Firecrackers

Pic from ~ villainouscompany.com ~

Fireworks yowls! My exceptionally lovely Felines... yep, the tame prairie is lit up with firecrackers in about every direction... background lightning is also flashing on and off... and the thunder is making its presence known with an almost steady growl... howls of weirdness out there... it’s been icky muggy out there for most of the day... and it FEELS like things are about to fly apart faster, louder... the end of an age is going out with BANGS not whimpers... with thunder and firecrackers...

Yep, the cessation of the festivities. The rain is here.

He Called It Macaroni
by Linda Banche

Yankee Doodle went to town,
A-Riding on a pony;
Stuck a feather in his cap,
And called it macaroni.

X-Serial Flash in Two Hundred ~ Sylva and Zeke’s story continues...

Part 553 ~

Sylva gave into her weariness. Unmoving, she recalled the delicious and ferocious passion between her and Zeke. She might as well savor now for all she was worth. Really, who knew what the future brought? Even if she had peaks into the future via her psychic abilities, those were windows or knowings about events, not a lifetime. Lifetime. Lives were radically different here in some ways. She sensed it, and witnessed in the behavior of the individuals she met. In Zeke. Life was based on longevity... the steady flame of a candle... not the sudden dousing of the candle’s flame.

Zeke gripped the butt of his colt. Something felt off. His spine buzzed as if a rattler coiled around it. “Son.” His father met him outside the view room. “We got a major problem about to explode. The submersible is waiting and ready to go. I’ll explain on the way.” Halting, Zeke felt his inside rattler coil in the pit of his stomach. “BP,” he uttered. A split second later, his dad nodded. “Yup.” They both charged for the submersible’s docking area, their boots ringing on the corridor. Ahead of them, the six frogmen, as they were known, filed aboard.

Serena, great that you got your fireworks in! Most of the display finished, given it was close to ten.

Jolie, fireworks on the beach. That has to be the best! I've never gotten to experience that.
