Monday night mews, New Year Happening Big Cats... no fun today for the Kougaress... she spent the first part of the day dealing with the frigid nightmare temps... dripping the water, sealing more of the cold out, etc. ... yeah, even though she did more winterizing to prepare... well, more had to be done since the house isn't all that heat-efficient... oh yeah, she's not looking forward to the energy bill, either... but, at least, so far *knock on wood* the electricity has stayed on ... anyway, the Kougaress has been watching the gorgeous crescent moon in the night sky for the past several nights... just one of those most splendid sights that uplifts the soul ... so, to top everything off this Big Cat had to trek the half mile down to her mailbox to pickup a package, so nothing would freeze inside... sheesh!

Chualar Barley Pattern

In the first hour, investigative reporter Linda Moulton Howe ~earthfiles.com~ revealed how Echelon Security in San Jose, California, was hired by an unnamed agency to guard a strange intricate pattern that appeared in a Chualar barley field on December 28, 2013. Onsite field researcher Jeff Krause told Howe that he was prevented from entering the 250-ft diameter formation but an Echelon guard had offered to carry his magnetometer into the pattern for him. The magnetometer's needle jumped from 43 to 58 gauss cgs units, Howe reported.

On New Year's Eve the security firm was ordered to destroy the pattern, she continued, noting that researcher Shawn Randall traveled to the field after it had been plowed under and found the barley had smooth unbroken bends similar to what is seen in English crop formations. Howe spoke about three circles in the formation that appear to be planetary orbits which, according to retired U.S. Navy officer Captain Mark Wood, could represent the numbers 1-9-2 and possibly correspond to a future date, July 8, 2014. She also commented on the significance of braille and Morse code messages in the pattern, pointing out that the braille translates to a string of 1-9-2 numbers.

A caller named Scott phoned into the program and claimed to have once worked near the Chualar field. From a 2012 forecast, this will now firestorm across the world: "At this point in history, 'reality' is in a state of severe flux, and the clash of the Titans is here. It is truly Good versus Evil. From Placer County across to the Hollywood Hills, eye-witnesses have come forward with accounts of glowing lights and mysterious objects darting across the night skies.

Kaye Pinlac, from Stockton, saw a formation of glowing objects behaving in a very strange manner:

""I seen like six bright orange colored lights," said Pinlac, who captured images of the multiple objects on his iPhone. "They were almost in a diamond or triangle shape. It was weird. Then they just started separating."

FAA spokesman Ian Gregor confirmed that none of the UFOs were observed by pilots in the area or picked up on radar by local air traffic controllers, and consequently, various prosaic explanations for the anomalous lights have been put forward, including floating luminaria light bags and celebration balloons, but these suggestions were dismissed by another witness,Terry Mauth, from Auburn:

Cozily cocooned in her bed, Samara glanced out her nearest window. The late morning sun beautifully sparkled the thick blanket of snow covering her large front yard. "Baby, it's cold outside," she murmured, the lyric playing in her head.

"Brrrr..." Samara shivered involuntarily, imagining the icy temps on her short-furred hide. Earlier, once the sun shone brightly over the horizon, she'd shifted and gone for a run in the Peak's park, just to keep in good shape.

Samara smirked, remembering how she'd out-raced a couple of wolf pup shifters – Thor and Loki, as they were known in town. They'd been determined to catch her.  At one point, she'd pretended to be treed, mentally laughing at their high-jumping antics.

3D printers are now being utilised for a variety of different mediums; in fact, there seems to be no limit to their potential.

In Britain, they are being used to create the ultimate chocolate gift by a company called ChocEdge. The company, which grew out of a University of Exeter project in 2012, can create a unique sculpture of your face using layers of dark, milk or white chocolate, based on a photographic image.

"Everyone loves chocolate so that’s why we’ve tried to make it easy and accessible for mainstream consumers," said Dr Liang Hao from the University of Exeter, who founded Choc Edge.

The chocolate creations are made by depositing very thin two-dimensional layers of melted chocolate, around 0.05mm thick, onto a substrate to build up the three-dimensional shape. Traditional methods of chocolate sculpturing rely on expensive molding tools, a fact that limits the potential to create very complex designs, but the new method means that that practically any design is possible using the same technology.

Surprise Crop Formation Appears in California
A large and complex crop formation has appeared in Salinas, California, in a field containing barley two feet high. Two videos made at night that showed some elements of the formation and flashes of light in the area have both been removed from YouTube, but there is daytime video of the formation, which is a circle about an acre in diameter enclosing what appears to be a representation of an electronic chip that contains a central field in braille. The braille repeats the number 192. In this video, a braille expert offers an explanation.

Linda Moulton Howe reports that a witness who entered the formation has told her that the way that the crop has been laid down is extremely precise. Read her report on the formation here. The field has reportedly been sealed off by a private security service, Echelon Security, and the formation is expected to be destroyed today.

There is no way to make a final determination about whether or not this is a hoax, but this seems increasingly likely as there is another report stating that locals saw people in the area over a period of days prior to the appearance of the formation.

Whitley Strieber comments: "This looks like a manmade hoax to me, largely because of the use of braille as a means of providing an intriguing but probably meaningless puzzle. However, it should also be noted that Iridium 192 is the isotope that has most often gone missing, and one that could be used to create a dirty bomb."
