This could be a happily ever after in the making... as in lovemaking...

Our souls are rising to meet the challenge, to create the kind of lives we truly want. Our dreams are here, even if they are being obscured by the dark force, so much so, this is the second Dark Ages.

Yes, then, there was the author who wondered if she could kill off her hero and heroine for the next book in her series... many of us attempted to explain that then the first book would not be a Happily Ever After romance. Obviously. Killing off the hero and heroine kills off the HEA... readers purchase romance novels because of the Happily Ever After... finally, the publisher stepped in with a general announcement that romances must have HEA’s, and went on to explain why, and that no submissions would be accepted without an HEA or HFN... unless revised. Somehow, the whole exchange tickled this Big Cat’s funny bone. And, was probably lost in the translation of attempting to explain it... ah, well... moi loves ya!

The federal government has been forced to respond to the accelerating backlash against new TSA measures which have outraged the nation, with TSA Administrator John Pistole and Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano set to meet today with executives from the travel industry and heads of pilot associations.

Following intense and sustained focus on the issue by the Drudge Report, Infowars and Prison Planet, Reuters reports that, “Executives from the travel industry, including online travel sites, theme parks and hotels, were set to meet Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano and Pistole on Friday to discuss their concerns that security is crimping travel.”

The feds were forced into action after five prominent pilot and travel associations, along with a flight attendants union, vowed to boycott naked body scanners as well as the new invasive pat down procedure, threatening travel chaos. The backlash has also been characterized by new cases of individuals being abused at the hands of the TSA, stories which continue to pour in on a daily basis.

In addition, the TSA is reviewing its policies towards children at security checkpoints following widespread revulsion at the fact that TSA workers, some of whom may be pedophiles given the agency’s poor standard of background checks for its own employees, are openly groping children’s genitals in airports across the country.

“We have received hundreds of e-mails and phone calls from travelers vowing to stop flying,” said Geoff Freeman, an executive vice president of the U.S. Travel Association, which set up the meeting with the Obama administration officials.

“You can’t talk on the one hand about creating jobs in this country and getting this economy back on track and on the other hand discourage millions of Americans from flying, which is the gateway to commerce,” he said.

It’s vital that those representing outraged Americans at today’s meeting with Napolitano and Pistole do not allow themselves to be placated by the rhetoric they will undoubtedly hear about the supposed terror threat making the new TSA measures a necessity.

Okay, complaining [probably silly and petty], but moi has stuck-in-the-craw roars... we are all different and we respond to different types of promos. Does it impress this Big Cat, knowing what she knows, if she sees a whole long lineup of *5* reviews for a book? Answer: NO.

While she feels happy for the author, and she figures there is something about the story the reviewers are resonating with... yet, for this Big Cat *as a reader* it acts as a turn-off.

Rarely, has the Kougar ever read a book where such piled-on accolades indicated the book was actually a superior read. Quite the opposite, at times. So, this Big Cat always feels suspicious.

She is much more likely to purchase a book because of the storyline and because she likes the excerpts. Also, the author’s writing style is important to moi. If the story is written at the recommended fifth grade level... No, that won’t fly with the Kougar. And, it won’t matter ‘who’ recommends the book or how stellar the reviews are.

E-Books Bright Spot in Bleak September

As sales in the traditional trade segments plunged in September, e-book sales jumped 158.1%, according to the monthly sales estimates released by the Association of American Publishers. Sales for the 14 publishers that reported e-book sales hit $39.9 million in the month, and were up 188.4% in the first nine months of the year to $304.6 million. In contrast, sales in the three adult trade segments, adult hardcover, trade paperback and mass market paperback, all fell by more than double digits with the adult hardcover segment experiencing the biggest decline with sales down 40.4% at the 17 publisher who reported sales to the AAP of $180.3 million. The only other segment to post a significant sales gain in September was downloadable audio with sales from the nine reporting companies up 73.7%, to $7.7 million. Sales of audio CDs fell 42.6%, to $11.6 million, in the month at the 22 reporting companies.

Soar Like a Red-tailed Hawk

Late evening purrs, my exquisite and exceptionally beautiful KitKats... verra warm on the tame prairie today, and the scenery was lovely, more it was inspirational, especially with all the hawks circling the fields... which was good for this Big Cat since she had to have the heater on her transport repaired... successfully achieved, thank the Divine. Plus, she had a chance to stock up for the winter brrrr-nasty cold. Last year she was snowed in, so being prepared is a good thing.

The Gift of Awakening... the Kougaress saw this phrase yesterday... it’s a gorgeous phrase, with so much potential.

‘Awakening’ has been used as a word to describe the awakening of a virgin to the joys of marital lovemaking... if you want to read those early, early romance novels... and, often, this ‘awakening to pleasure and love’ is key to romance novels these days... after all, if your body awakens to pleasure, if your senses awaken... it is all a way of awakening...

Awakening has also been used by many who speak about spiritual awakenings, individually and as the spiritual awakening of the human race. The Aquarian Age is about awakening to the potential you are as an individual and also, as part of the human community.

There is also a Soul Awakening... soul as in the sum and potential of who you are on Earth, who you are in this life experience.

There is also another *awakening* that is taking place on a large scale, a TRUTH AWAKENING. The only way to truly live your spiritual and soul awakening, even an awakening to love, is to face the truth, the truth of what has been occurring and what is occurring in our world. Or ~the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth~.

In all truth, this Big Cat thought freedom, real freedom, would continue to grow in her beloved country, and would eventually flourish throughout the world, as a natural course and consequence of humanity’s spiritual awakening.

NOT.

This Big Cat was wrong.

Still, there is THE GIFT OF AWAKENING. There is the gift of truth.
