Flash and Trim ~ Decorating the Marble Statue

From Coast to Coast am ~ Tonight's guest, Richard C. Hoagland, passed along this enhanced version of a photo which appears to show a UFO hovering above Dealey Plaza on the afternoon that JFK was assassinated...

Oh, glorious and gorgeous KitKats, the holiday season is off like a rocket. A part of the Kougar would like to be a hermit, enjoying the darkness of this season as a time to contemplate and recuperate. A time to simply write, go within and write.
Another part of this Big Cat wants to glisten and bounce in tune to with the festivities of the season. How are you feeling? What does the season mean to you?

~~~
Yep and some penning pep, it was Flash Fiction Sunday at the Liquid Silver SEx blog.
Romance author, Emily Ryan-Davis, was the hostess ~ her title ~ Operation: Trim the (fill in the blank).
“Tree? Bowl of pine boughs? Front door? Naked man? Whatever you’re trimming this holiday season, the time has come to bring out the shiny balls, blinky lights and scented candles.”
The Kougar’s Sunday Flash-ing ~
Decorating the Marble Statue
I
11:11:11 PM flashed on the digital clock. “Oh great.” Sabrina expelled an aggravated breath. Once again, eleven had her number as in seeing them nearly everyday, even several times a day. “Yeah, yeah, enlightenment. A new spiritual age.” She rolled her eyes. “I need a new damn life. Not some nebulous promise of a better world.” Grabbing up the box of outdoor Christmas decorations, she stared down at the contents for a moment. “If this isn’t just plain stupid. Decorating a statue,” she muttered. Still, it was her job and she’d do it to the best of her creative ability.
II
Sabrina loved her aunt. Occasionally, though, Aunt Beatrice was nuttier than a fruitcake. However, Sabrina found it easier to just go along with whatever little insanity her aunt decided on. Tromping toward the lovely french doors, she swung open the one she’d unlocked and walked out into the cold night. The wind buffeted her face briskly and she shivered as she moved down the low flowing steps into her aunt’s enormous elaborate garden. During winter the plants were festive. Small pines trees and artfully arranged bushes with red berries lined the main path. Other foliage offered the birds a feast.
III
There it was. Her aunt’s pride and joy. The marble full-sized statue of a man had been shipped over from Italy twenty-one years ago. Sabrina remembered clear as day her aunt taking her by the hand when she was ten to introduce her D’Vallis, as Bea always referred to him. Each year Sabrina had been given the impressive history of the statue as close to his arrival date as possible. He’d been found on the island of Santorini, a mystical fire-formed island that Sabrina adored visiting. No one knew his actual origin and for that reason the museums weren’t interested.
IV
Bea always claimed he came to her in a dream, telling her how to purchase him. More than once, on her walks through the garden, Sabrina had heard her aunt talking to the statue as if they were the best of friends. Halting, she heaved a frustrated sigh, then perused D’Vallis. No arguing the fact that he was impressive, a Herculean specimen of manhood, even if his manhood had been discreetly draped by the artisan. “So, you want to be decorated, do you? I guess, I’m the woman for the job.” Setting the box down, she grabbed the Santa hat.
V
“Top down.” Stretching upward and it was quite a stretch, D’Vallis had to be over six foot in height, Sabrina arranged the fur-trimmed red hat above his noble, yet rugged features. “Don’t you look just too christmasy adorable?” she sing-sang. “I’ll give you this. You’re warmer than I thought you’d be.” Stepping back and leaning over, Sabrina plucked out the elegant, deep red smoking jacket. “Not exactly Santa’s style, but it should look pretty good on you.” She arranged it over his shoulders, fiddled with the hang of the garment, then tied the sash. An odd glint rippled over his torso.
VI
“Hey, you’re not moving on me, are you?” she nervously teased. She could almost swear his head had slightly altered position. “I must have the pre-Christmas jitters,” she joked, pulling out yards and yards of tiny golden stars. “Hmmm, where to wrap, how to wrap... where do you want to be wrapped?” She gazed up and down his magnificent marble physique. “If you were a man, I ‘know’ where you’d want to be wrapped. Naw, couldn’t be,” she reassured herself as she crouched by his handsome ankle. “Your bulge is showing, D’Vallis,” she crooned and began twining the golden stars.
VII
“Round and round we go.” She spiraled the ethereal trim up his hunky muscled leg. “Plenty here. I’ll decorate your manly hips.” Sabrina leaned the side of her head on his surprisingly warm chest to balance herself and worked the delicate string of stars around him. “Or, should I say, your manly loins. Yep, definitely manly.” Had his bulge increased, even lengthened? Good God! “I must be losing my marbles pressed against your marble. Or, maybe you just like all this attention. Okay, leaving the manly area to decorate your other leg. Great, I’m turning into my aunt, talking to you.”
VIII
Sliding her cheek downward, onto his hard, hard stomach, Sabrina circled the trim down his leg. Okay, she hadn’t dated in awhile. Was this some kind of Christmas fantasy her mind spun from her unconscious desperation? “Yeah, I’d date you if you were alive. Who could say no? Unless you had the personality of a gnat and a head as large as the giant blown-up Santa on top of Toy Mart.” Sabrina wrapped his ankle and shot upwards a second later. “You’re throbbing,” she accused. “How can a statue’s cock throb? Why don’t you answer that, Mr. Marble?” She scowled.
IX
“Okay, you asked for it, D’Vallis.” Sabrina reached for the only thing left in the box, a huge red velvet bow with jingle bells adorning the knot. After ripping off the tape covering the sticky strip, she stared at the splendidly carved bulge that simply couldn’t be missed. In a flash, her hand pressed the bow to the center of his marble-hard manhood. Was it the wind moaning or... it sounded suspiciously like a male groan. Sabrina ran her gaze up his torso, studying every contour of his... flesh! No, it couldn’t be. She slipped her fingertip up his six-pack stomach.
X
Marble, yes, marble. Damn hot marble. “Let’s see what happens... yeah, I’ll play ‘kiss the statue’. Why not? That’s the magic, isn’t it? If your lips are as hot as...” Sabrina smoothed her palm beneath the jacket and up his ‘too real’ chest. Standing on tiptoe, she puckered, fastening her mouth onto his. ‘Omygawd’ sizzled through her. He kissed her, his lips so possessive she couldn’t speak. A large male arm clamped around her waist, lifting her, then crushing her against a real male body. Too stunned to do anything else, Sabrina flung her arms around his neck, kissing him fiercely.
X-Serial Flash in Two Hundred ~ Sylva and Zeke’s story continues...
Part 337 ~
Sylva burned hot, heady with how she affected Zeke. Pushing her sexy cowboy down to the bed, she leaned above him and took her sweet time placing kisses on his chest. “Sylva,” he growled, simmering her blood. His fingers threaded through her hair, sensuous, demanding. Gradually, she lightly licked his irresistible skin while pressing more kisses. “Darlin’,” he groaned. “I’m not feelin’ real tame.” Sylva nuzzled up his chest, then tasted the juncture between his neck and shoulder. Sucking softly, she open-mouth kissed him. “Where’s the rope? I’ll have to tie you to the fence. Have my way with you.”
Zeke twisted, yet controlled himself. His cock grew two sizes. Her kisses had turned him inside out, his body, not merely his loins. Now, his loins had become hot as blazes. His woman kissed his throat, then nipped the side of his neck. “Are you going to behave, stud?” With his breaths jerking in and out, he rasped, “Only for you, wife.” The tip of her tongue fondled his earlobe with a finesse he reveled in. Gritting his teeth, Zeke forced his body to take her seductive punishment. “Hmmm, I think I’ve found a new career, here, on your Earth.”
Music as Sustenance...
From ~ Native American Flutes and Music ~ http://cedarmesa.blogspot.com ~
Yowls of greeting, my weekend lovely Kittens... the three-quarters moon rose in the eastern sky early, as sundown displayed itself magnificently on the western horizon...
Music as sustenance... that’s natural knowledge for most of us. Many authors use music to set the mood of their romance novels, or a particular scene they’re penning. Some also make up playlists or create a musical score as if they’re novel is a movie.
How fun would that be for an audio book, to include background music... so many incredible creative possibilities this Big Cat author would love to explore and do for her own novels.
Lack of time is the biggest stopper. Money and energy follow. Still, it’s exciting to consider...
What brought on this topic? The Kougaress spent some time listening to Accu Radio’s Native American music channel. Meow about sustenance for the soul... it fills empty places, those places our common culture ignores.
As is stated in one of Volcano’s Angelic Readings, music is crucial, and becoming ever more crucial to living through this time period and adjusting to the vibrations of the Aquarian Age.
Music as a soul communication, as a way we will mentally connect with each other in this new vibrational time, is evolving at a rapid rate. Anyone, or any entity that shuts down or restricts music is about shutting us all down spiritually, and halting our natural growth as a human community.
Pay special attention to the music during this holiday season and in the coming new year. It will assist you in your life in ways you won’t be aware of until you’re further on down the road of life. Plus, sing and play the music that originates from you, that resides in deepest parts of your soul. It’s all to the Good.
Authoress news and mews ~
Roars of complaint... so, now MURDER BY HAIR SPRAY IN GARDENIA, NEW ATLANTIS is being downloaded at the stupid e-piracy site, astatalk. And someone there is also requesting TANGERINE CARNAL DREAMS. Oh great meows! the Kougar could use the monies from that title... not to mention, she needs the monies from all her titles, not being close to a wealthy cat girl.
May the Davy Jones’ locker of the deep internet claim them all, unless they change their ways.
X-Serial Flash in Two Hundred ~ Sylva and Zeke’s story continues...
Part 336 ~
Sylva pressed her advantage. Slipping her hand over the muscled contours of his chest, she crooned, “After all, I don’t want to damage one hair on your exceptionally handsome body... or damage the goods... do I?” Her cowboy kept on grinning. “I like your way of thinkin’, wife.” Sylva pressed a kiss into the hollow of his shoulder. “Wife, that’s going to take some getting used to, being called that.” He rumbled a small groan. “You have the softest lips, Sylva.” She smiled a moment, then savored the warm rich feel of his skin, touching kisses all over his chest.
Zeke let heaven capture him. “I think you could tame me with just your mouth kissin’ me all over.” His woman languidly raised her gaze to his, her eyes shiny with pleasure. “I’m not sure I want you that tame, cowboy stud.” Her hand caressed his chest where her lips had been. “I might want to be bucked off now and then.” Zeke laughed hoarsely. God, his Sylva. All his. “Darlin’, wild or tame, this stud is gonna be pleasin’ you.” She gave him a sensual smile, then lowered her head. Her talented lips danced over his shoulder, sweetly untamed.
Black Friday, it got this Big Cat...
Yep, darling risque felines, the Kougar generally ignores Black Friday... at the last minute, though, she got, well yowl... got. Caught in the trap of hyper commercialism. Yes, meow, a bit of over drama, since she purchased something she’d been wanting to get for a long time, ever since she learned about it. Not something sexy or vain, but utilitarian. Not that the Kougaress is against the sexy or vain good things in life... not *love-those-things* at all.
For over a decade moi has been allergic or sensitive to chlorine, bleach to some. Anaphylactic shock type of sensitive. Could keel over type of sensitive. Unfortunately, where moi lives, the water company apparently believes huge doses of chlorine are the answer to every purification problem. Or, else they got a special deal on the stuff.
While moi can drink the purified water she purchases, still, given all that water is used for, washing the clothes, etc. ~ the stuff permeates the house because it evaporates out of water and off the clothes. Heck, no need to put any chlorine in the water moi has stored up over the years. It’s still crystal clear from the three years past.
So, the purchase ~ an Ecoloblue drinking water machine that was on special for Black Friday. It’s a super duper dehumidifier that has so many water purifying filters on it, the Kougaress didn’t bother counting. However, it’s takes nasty stuff like chlorine out of the water... and since, it takes the water out of the air, hopefully the chlorine will also be reduced significantly. Because this Big Cat is icky itchy from having done her wash, and is convinced the chlorine-saturated air is contributing to the skin condition on her leg.
No, not a fun or romantic topic, however if this Big Cat’s solutions help anyone else, then that’s what matters.
X-Serial Flash in Two Hundred ~ Sylva and Zeke’s story continues...
Part 335 ~
Sylva hadn’t meant to speak her thoughts that way. But there they were, hanging in the air between them. Not that she didn’t value honesty and open communication in a relationship, especially marriage... however, they were in the initial stages of getting to know one another. Her cowboy husband smiled so wickedly she gasped in a breath. “What?” she breathed out. “If I ever turn that cold, a grave will be callin’ my name. Sylva, if I’ve got ‘wearin’ down’ thoughts on my mind, or I wore myself out working the ranch, I’ll let you know it’s not you, darlin’.”
Zeke stroked her soft flushed cheek with his thumb as she nodded her understanding. His woman. “It’ll take time,” she murmured. “Like we’ve talked about. Just be patient with me.” Zeke stole a quick kiss from her sumptuous lips, then gazed into her eyes. “I think it might be the other way ‘round. I’ll probably need some patient handling. Or, you could just throw something at me.” She smiled in a lovely tantalizing way, tripping his heartbeat. “I’ll look for something soft first. Maybe you should get a large supply of small pillows, and leave them around.” Zeke raised his brows, grinning.
Slippers and more fabulous slippers...
Evening yowls, my turkey-stuffed and snoozily-comfy Big Felines... the Kougaress rarely does the Black Friday madness shopping thing... mewing frankly, it’s a turn off... course, online, the crowds aren’t at crushing size... so, she actually took a peek at Amazon’s ad, being in the mood to purchase a few things, one of them being slippers. Moi’s are worn and developing holes... so, omymeowgod... talk about a fab-tastic selection... even though, price-wise, most of them are beyond this Big Cat’s means... still, yum and thoughts of feet-paw warmth... who needs sugarplums dancing in your head... no, make it lovely slippers and more keep-your-toes-comfy slippers and moccasins... the problem, what fits? Which one feels the best? ... sigh... no, this Big Cat couldn’t decide... not yet...
~~~

Another strange jet... a couple of days ago, around eleven in the morning, the Kougaress heard it, zooming low from west to east at a rate of speed that sounded like it parted the sky’s atmosphere... there was this jet-type whine, along with an eerie enormous rush of noise that sounds like no normal jet and it sounded as though it flew not that far above the house... so, black ops and secret project people, what the hell was that?

Happy Thanksgiving Day from Sedona & Volcano

Thanksgiving Day, 2012

~ Prelude Scene to WHEN A GOOD ANGEL FALLS ~

Sedona clutched her knees, and willed herself to stop trembling inside. Beneath her, the ground trembled with wave after wave of aftershocks from the massive earthquake along part of the New Madris fault. It felt like the land had been transformed into a new type of mud-sliding ocean. Sighing, she suppressed her fear and shoved away the sadness threatening to overwhelm her.
At least, she had one thing to be thankful for. The weather hadn’t turned cold yet, whether by manipulation or not. The few blankets she wrapped around herself, at night, kept her warm enough. For now.
Thanksgiving...she’d heard it was Thanksgiving day on the crystal-run shortwave radio she carried with her. Given her situation, Sedona had laughed at the grisly joke, as loud as she dared. Who knew where the monitoring micro waves for sound, were aimed.
Resting her chin on top of her knees, she tightened her arms, and rocked herself, an automatic motion. At least, if she gained no comfort, it kept her blood circulation going. Glancing at her long-expired canister of raisins, she ignored her hunger pangs. She’d found someone’s stash of food, a few items still salvageable. That someone had probably died, already. She’d blessed them, and traveled on, driving her old van on the back roads. Fortunately, she’d found enough water for her converted engine to run on. Staying in one place was never a good idea these days.
Except now, she had no choice. When the earthquake tremors shook the ground viciously, splitting and shredding the road like so much ribbon, she’d crept around the pockets of devastation, searching for a place to hide and hunker down in, until the worst was over. If it was ever over.
Unexpectedly, the taste of past Thanksgiving day dinners filled her mouth. She savored the rare moment of bliss, asking no questions. Closing her eyes, she indulged in the flavors of turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy. Green beans with bits of bacon. Pumpkin pie topped with generous amounts of real whipped cream. And french silk pie, a family favorite. With the memories flooding her mind, tears gathered in the corner of her eyes at the loss of her family. Still, they resided in a far better place than she did, now. Heaven.
The strong taste of buttered yeasty rolls distracted her, and halted her tears. Even though it was the same as a desert mirage, her mouth watered ridiculously. As she remembered the good times at Thanksgiving, Sedona sent her gratitude back in time. Why not pile on her gratefulness? Since everything existed simultaneously in time, maybe she would enjoy that part of her life even more. Then.
The delicious taste fading, she opened her eyes. A split second later, Sedona shivered as the small, out of the way house she’d discovered, creaked and rattled around her. The ground rocked from another aftershock, moving like a drunken sailor, as the old saying went. Or, for all she knew, another earthquake. Hell, if it collapsed on her, so what! The only thing she anguished over was how long she’d be in pain.
“Damn!” Sedona tossed off the worn ragged blanket. Her hot flash burned horribly. Seizing her body, it was a wildfire completely out of control, for long torturing minutes. She cursed again. “I might as well be in hell. Straight to hell. No trial. No get-of-jail-free card. Just the devil, his fiery pitchfork pointing the way. Well hell, it’s better than a FEMA-stalag camp.”
You’re not going to hell yet...wait, a familiar voice whispered, then chuckled as if everything was just fine.
Thoroughly annoyed, Sedona scowled, not knowing if whoever had been speaking to her for the past few weeks, similar to a spirit from the Other Side, was divine friend or evil foe. She couldn’t tell, her psychic sense of it, remained clear as an acre of mud. Common now.
“Go away,” she commanded.
For now, the voice answered.
Sedona shook herself, attempting to shake away ‘the voice’. She trembled violently. If she was lucky, an earthquake would rip the ground apart beneath her right now, and she’d be swallowed up whole. If she was lucky...okay, hell, that wouldn’t happen.
Eyeing the raisin canister again, she decided to wait, since her hunger hadn’t caused a headache yet. The longer she put off eating anything, the longer her little food stash would last. Unbidden, a loud sigh burst from between her severely chapped lips, and she wondered for the zillionth time why she was still alive.
Noticing the aftershock tremors seemed to have ceased, for awhile...maybe...who knew...Sedona shrugged a shoulder, and yawned. If she could fall asleep, that would be better than anything. However, a thin stream of color caught her eye, cutting through the dusty air and the dimness of the room.
Entranced by the rose-pink neon ray, shooting through the tiny dirty window, she pretended for a moment that life was okay, again–that everything was going to be all right. That, once again, she would see sunsets instead of hideous skies, overcast with ugly chemical clouds, and a haze of volcanic ash. That flaming asteroids would no longer pierce the soupy-looking mass.
Rising from the bare mattress, one that had been over-used, Sedona crept forward, her knees creaking from age, and staying in the same position too long. As she dared a peek through the grime-covered window, her heart pounded to beat any band.
Still, sunlight, a real ray from the setting sun, beyond priceless.
Glimpsing the rim of the sun, sheer giddiness danced through Sedona. Well over the murky barely-seen horizon, the rim gleamed weakly, a sliver of yellowish white light. She smiled.
Damn though, if any of the aerial drone cameras caught her, even her reflection, only God knew how fast a team of black-coated Bounty Hunters would arrive. Collecting people like her was good money in these times.
Telling herself to move away, Sedona stared at the lone brazen shaft of light, originating from the sun, then striking the window pane. Tears gathered in her throat at the remarkable site, choking her for an instant. Good Lord, the rose-hued shaft looked like an invitation from heaven. If only...
Forcing herself to take a step back, Sedona knew her only chance for escape would be the van, and out-running the fuel capacity of the Bounty Hunters. For some reason she didn’t understand, their transport vehicles hadn’t been converted to use water, and spent power quickly. True, good water wasn’t all that plentiful in a lot of areas. Whatever...she shrugged, thankful she possessed that advantage. At least.
Sedona took another step back, pivoting toward the interior of the dank room, before she was tempted to stay at the window. Feeling enchanted, she followed the ray with her eyes. A gasp escaped her. Magically, the tiny beam shimmered more brightly, and changed to an amazing rose-pink color.
“My God,” she whispered.
Not daring to move, Sedona watched the sun ray slowly expand. Soon, the entire room glowed, bathed in a deep rose luminosity. Her heart tripped rapidly at the sheer beauty of the light, then soared on ephemeral wings.
The feeling of dread always with her, Sedona hoped like hell, this was a mystical event–one not seen by the ubiquitous monitoring grid of the New World Order.
This is your future, the unknown voice interrupted her thought, gentle as a caress.
“Yeah, yeah,” she murmured, disbelieving.
Even as she spoke the words, an image formed. A shadow-like figure of a man gradually emerged. Yet, not a shadow. It was a jet black transparency of color. As the shape of the man’s wings became more clearly outlined, her jaw dropped.
“Omygod.”
Utterly captivated, with hardly a breath left in her body, Sedona stared at the man’s gorgeous, languidly flapping wings.
Moments later, darkness claimed the room again, as if the black angel, hovering in the halo of rosefire light, had never existed.

Thanksgiving Day, 2013 ~ after Winter 2012 in WHEN A GOOD ANGEL FALLS

Her gaze riveted by the serene beauty, Sedona stood in front of the rustic lodge’s old-fashioned pane window. Blankets of snow covered most of the high elevation terrain, rising and falling majestically around them. The white frosting of snow had already melted from the trees, the stubbornly clinging leaves fluttering a dance in the brisk winds. Where the sun shone directly, piles of leaves and dried stems looked like the autumn she remembered from living in the midwest.
Feeling the touch of Aru’s wet nose on the back of her calf, she turned, looking down at her doggie baby, almost grown up now. His dark eyes asked, yet were bright with expectation. “Come on,” she sang lovingly to him, and offered her open arms. Instantly, Aru leapt straight up, and landed perfectly in her arms. “Do you want to see? Or do you just want a cuddle?”
Sedona hugged him to her bosom, nuzzling the slick silky fur of his neck as he snuggled against her. After she pressed a smooch on the elegant curve of his neck, he settled in her embrace, and pricked his ears watching the tiny brown birds flit and forage for food.
“It doesn’t feel totally real, does it?” she murmured. “Being here now. After everything I’ve been through in my life.”
Aru answered with a little whine.
“Last year I was cold and hungry and so horribly desperate I couldn’t even describe it. You were probably just born.” Sedona brushed her lips on the top of Aru’s head. “How did you survive? Yes, I know you had angelic help too.”
As she remembered the previous year’s Thanksgiving day, a tide of emotions overwhelmed her, and tears pricked at her eyes. She’d been able to stay in the rundown isolated house for longer than she’d anticipated, before intuitively knowing she had to leave or be captured by the Nazerazzi forces. That, and her food supply had dwindled down to a few raw shriveled potatoes.
Rocking Aru, she listened to the tiny flames crackling in the cozy fireplace behind her. Volcano had just started it with a point of his finger. Then he had possessively swept her against him, gazed into her eyes with an intensity that always made her become molten desire for him. “Rest,” he had ordered, his lips a breath away from her own. “I’ll whip up our Thanksgiving day dinner.”
“You’ll put too much cloud in it,” she’d teased him.
“How can there be too much cloud?” His eyes had glittered like a thousand purple jewels, while his hands passionately roved over her body.
“But I want to cook,” she’d protested, feeling the need to do what she hadn’t been able to enjoy doing for several years. And to make up for what she’d lost, even though she knew it wasn’t possible. It would never be possible.
“I’ll make egg nog with so much cloud in it, you’ll be intoxicated enough to kiss me wherever I want.”
“I already kiss you wherever you want, you bad decadent cherub.”
“Not the way you’ll kiss me after extra helpings of cloud in your pumpkin pie and whipped cream.”
Before she could protest again, he had claimed her mouth, kissing her senseless. Ultimately, he had embraced her tightly against him, and fused their mouths, then brought them both to a heady bliss. Their prolonged pleasure had swirled around them like fiery golden sequins.
Once they both descended, and she could understand his words, he’d whispered in her ear that it was time for him to leave briefly. He’d already told her he’d been divinely instructed to meet another carnal cherub, arriving direct from the heavenly ethers. Kissing the tip of her nose, he’d gradually changed his body to smoke and mist, then vanished.
“Warm,” she murmured down to Aru, feeling the hearth’s flames on her back. “I never thought I’d be this warm again during winter.” Just as her emotions had surged remembering the year before, now the strength of her gratitude soared beyond the thin layer of clouds stretched over the distant mountaintops.
In truth, Sedona was fearful about knowing the depth of her gratitude. What if it was all a dream...and she woke up surrounded by the horror of her past existence? What if she lost everyone and everything again? She squeezed her eyelids closed for a moment, then squeezed Aru tenderly. She’d come a long way toward healing...still, it wasn’t long enough.
Opening her eyes, she nearly let go of Aru. A small puffy cloud scudded toward her in the part of the hazy blue sky she could see. It’s underside gleamed with a rosy pink color. Feeling like an enchanted princess, she watched the fairytale cloud sail closer and closer, and slowly lower to the tree tops.
“Oh, Aru, how could I forget?”
“You were supposed to forget, my angel woman.”
She whirled around. At the same time Aru leapt from her arms to greet Volcano.
“That was you.” She moved toward him, her feet cushioned by air, or so it felt. She glanced downward, seeing only the floor. “I thought it was just an incredible magical dream.”
Scooping Aru up, Volcano woggled him for a few moments, his face radiant with love and affection. Then he set him down, and gazed at her, his expression more radiant. The love glowing in his eyes seared her down to her soul.
She ached to touch him. Yet, she didn’t reach out, but merely waited for him to come to her.
“I look good in rosefire light, don’t I?” A grin tugged at the corner of his mouth.
“Mr. Cocky Cherub, what don’t you look good in?”
His eyes darkened to utter passion entrancing her as he stepped closer and closer. He didn’t touch her. His gaze touched her. Sedona’s breath deserted her and her heart thumped wildly. She let her head drop back, her face beneath his.
“I look best in you...Sedona, my woman.”

Happy Courtship on another Earth

X-Serial Flash in Two Hundred ~ Sylva and Zeke’s story continues...

Part 334 ~

Sylva swooned inside. “I like that, saying what we’re grateful for... then kissing. But, to be honest, cowboy, if I’m really, really ticked at you... feeling what I call the ‘red hot prickles’ I won’t be talking about gratitude.” Gazing into her eyes, her husband brushed his thumb over her lips in a way that brought on another swoon, this one heady desire. “Red hot prickles,” he purred. “That could be downright passionate.” Melty inside, Sylva murmured, “Not if I’m hurling things at you.” He smiled, a purely sexy smile that promised what he’d already delivered. “Throw whatever you want.”

Zeke figured he had a new built-in furnace by the way his loins heated up over his Sylva. Her gaze had become sultry. Still, reserve still darkened her gorgeous eyes. “You say that now, handsome. But, if it’s one thing I learned on my Earth, men change. In fact, I decided men are generally more fickle than women. Plus, talk about Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde... one minute their hot as humping dogs... the next they’re cold as a body in a morgue...” She halted, as if she’d said too much. Yet, it was her wary gaze that troubled him.

May Your Thanksgiving be Food for the Soul

My blessed Big Cats, if you’re like the Kougar, you enjoy eating what’s considered to be the typical Thanksgiving Day dinner... plus, your family’s favorites... meow! Tail-swishing! Yum!
Good food, raised naturally, and by those who enjoy farming and ranching, nourishes the body, and, yes, the human soul. Oh, how the Kougaress wishes our beloved world would become a place where individuals are allowed to raise all the good things to eat in ways that benefit the Earth, and, thus, also benefit us. Not as mere nutrition for our bodies, which is vital, but nutritive for our souls because of the loving frequencies that permeate this kind of food.
Family and friends, those who are beloved to you, are treasures to your soul. Obvious truths, you mew prettily... yes, however, the challenge is often to continue nurturing those relationships.
In this human world that’s not easy. Sometimes, our relationships flow beautifully. More often, there’s a lot of tending to be done... to be compared to taking care of a garden, as the obvious metaphor.
How beautiful is your garden of relationships?
In this time of coming together to give thanks, remember this is the Aquarian Age and relationships will be the core of what we as the human race achieve, and how we live.
We can live together beautifully.
Or, we can allow the Dark Forces to tear us apart.
It’s our choice as the human race.

X-Serial Flash in Two Hundred ~ Sylva and Zeke’s story continues...

Part 333 ~

Sylva’s thoughts whirled, until her imagination hit on an image. “How about a derringer? One that shoots flame, not bullets,” she hastened to add. Sylva watched her cowboy husband throw back his head and laugh heartily. Her own giggles erupted, the picture of her holding him up for a conversation before her mind’s eye. “Works for me, darlin’. I’ll make sure it’s downright fancy with scrollwork and fits your hand just right.” She smiled on the outside and the inside. “Certainly, shows good faith, cowboy.” Sylva palmed his handsome cheek, stroking his face. “I think you want this to work.”

Zeke knew his wife’s words were tongue-in-cheek, yet also an indication of her vulnerability. He covered her hand on his face with his palm. “You know what else the parents do, darlin’? Each day, usually before dinner, they tell each other one thing they’re grateful for, other than each other, and kiss.” His Sylva’s gaze gleamed up at him in a manner that tickled his soul. “Like what?” she asked. “It could be the spread of wildflowers mom’s seen that day, or dad being grateful for gettin’ the fence fixed before the cattle escaped and had to be rounded up.”

Part 332 ~

Sylva fell into Zeke’s burning brandy-colored eyes. “I’ll give it a try.” He scooted down, positioning her close. “You know what I like?” Automatically, Sylva shook her head. “What?” she asked. Propping himself up on his elbow, he reached out and twirled a strand of her hair around his finger. “I like that you told me how you were feeling, Sylva. That means we can work together to solve it.” Sylva felt her mouth curve into a half-smile. “The key is, cowboy, working together. If you’re ever mean about it, you can count on my balking like one of your horses.”

Zeke frowned with concern. “Mean? Darlin’, I might be thinkin’ about other matters and not be listening well enough. You know what, whenever dad isn’t paying attention to what mom is sayin’, and it’s important, she takes out the two-by-four and tells him it’s mule-waking up time.” His wife blinked, surprise flaring in her eyes. “Mule-waking up time,” she repeated. “Yep, works like a charm. Dad even brought her the two-by-four.’ Remembering, he chuckled. “I think it’s saved a lot of arguing between them.” Twining another strand of her hair, he continued, “We’ll figure it out, talking to each other.”

Thank You, Merrylee of Fallen Angel Reviews

A huge feline smile adorns the Kougar’s mug today, darling-est Big Cats. She is not only grateful... ‘tis the season... for Merrylee’s FIVE ANGEL review of STALLION OF ASH AND FLAME... this Big Cat author is also grateful to Bekki Lynn, her author buddy, for congratulating moi on the review before she knew about it.
But there it was... in all it’s red angel glory... the review...

Review Snippet ~

Trail... can shift into a flesh and blood stallion and then into a stallion of fire or ash. He can psi-read minds, read vibrations, astral project, brain-scramble his enemies, suck up fire, fry electronics, start vehicles without keys and on and on and on... Savanna Kougar fans will find it a wonderfully scorching hot read that definitely rates 5 Angels. In typical Kougar form, the plot is rich in detail, original and imaginative. The main characters are well developed, often amusing and very likeable. All you Kougar fans are in for a treat with this one...

THE HELP YOU GET ALONG THE WAY
I’m blogging today about becoming a finalist in the EPIC Awards. Now wait, don’t go yet. This is not “all about me”—I promise.

Savanna Kougar said...

Cheryl, congratulations on being a finalist.
Your right, it takes all those who love and care about us as we journey toward becoming published and once we are, I think, it becomes even more important.
Actually, I had a fabulous creative writing professor at college. He loved my writing. And he loved the way I read my writing in class. However, he also crushed me, saying he didn't think I would ever be published because my writing was too old-fashioned, not modern or the journalistic style of writing. Nope, can't do that one. So, I'm grateful trends have changed enough for my books to be published and enjoyed.

Meows ~ the Kougar believes Cheryl’s blog is a vital take on the process of becoming an author and what it means.

X-Serial Flash in Two Hundred ~ Sylva and Zeke’s story continues...

Part 331 ~

Sylva took her cowboy husband’s silence to mean lots of folks would be attending. She figured it would be best to fake her way through it... pretend to be okay... who knows, the saying ‘fake it until you make it’ did work sometimes by her experience. “Sylva darlin’, what if I show you bio vids of the main guests? Would that ease you?” he earnestly asked. Inwardly, she cringed. “A lot, huh?” He nodded. “Family on both sides. Friends. Business friends. Plus, anyone from the nearest towns are welcome.” Sylva quirked her mouth. “Maybe, I’ll just get lost in the crowd.”

Zeke couldn’t help an amused grin. “There’s no way a bride as beautiful as you would ever be lost in the crowd.” At her worried frown, he leered playfully at her, then fondled her breast. “More likely, you’ll be the center of attention... you bad cowpoke.” She slapped at his hand, a small protest. “Cowpoke. I’m you’re ‘cowpoke’ alright.” Lightly pinching her nipple, he moved in for a kiss. Soon, their passion won out and his Sylva kissed him back with bold enthusiasm. “Bio vids,” she murmured, when they came up for air. “That might help. I don’t know, though.”

Weekly Angelic Forecast from Volcano

Straight from the Carnal Cherub himself...

Angelic Forecast ~ #64

This week will be a series of extremes. That is, most everything on the world stage will be extreme events and extreme announcements from entertainment news to so-called mainstream news. Larger and bigger, a ten ring circus that has been created just for you. However, keep your eye on the ringmaster, the wizard behind the curtain. Truth resides there.
Everything is in hyper acceleration, currently. This includes your personal life. In whatever way you can slow the pace of your life, do it. It can only help you during the holiday season. Music as way to enjoy life and de-stress yourself will become more critical as all our frequencies come into alignment with the Aquarian Age.

Death Blow Flash

Evening yowls, my Kitten Coos, it's turkey time. Isn't he a strutter?

The Kougar’s gaze is whipping back and forth. Major world events are racing as fast as the Indy 500. Look for it all to speed up. That’s this Big Cat’s intuitive sense of the immediate future.
Also, keep a fierce feline eye on the pneumonic plague going in the Ukraine and surrounding countries. Be prepared to isolate yourself for a time, if necessary.

Flash Fiction Sunday at the Liquid Silver SEx blog, it was ~ Flash Danger! With Roscoe James ~ “One of the greatest aphrodisiacs, at least in a good story, is imminent danger. She saves him, he saves her. “

Yeppers, here’s the Kougar’s latest flash ~

“Death blow to the global order!” Slade Krystal leaped from the edge of the cliff, swan-diving into the gray indigo shadows of the miles deep ravine. Complete darkness enfolded her as she plummeted downward. She felt incredible free. These were her last minutes on Earth before she became zillions of blown-up particles.
This was her final sacrifice to defeating Those who ensnared humanity in a cruel matrix meant to enslave them mind, body and soul. Her body had been riddled with platinum nano charges by the techno-scientists of her rebel group.
Seeing the faint glimmer of the structure, she rejoiced.

Soon Slade stared at the crystalline light gleaming over the massive dome, just one part of the octopus-immense complex that housed the secret uber-technologies and genius intellects being used to control the people. “One giant splat for humankind,” she mentally amused herself.
Instead of darkness, the brilliance of the dome became blinding. Slade closed her eyes and prayed the strike of her body would do maximum damage. Yes, the world could go dark from loss of power. The rebels had prepared with independent energy systems, and ways to sustain themselves.
Slade smiled widely as the light blasted through her eyelids.

Her free fall descent felt magnificent and she was about to go BOOM! ‘Death blow to the global order’, she chanted inside her mind. An instant later, her body ceased hurling downward. She bounced like a yo-yo several times, then felt herself being lifted up at a rapid speed. “Noooooo!” she screamed.
“Where the hell am I?” A grayish darkness surrounded her and she sat on a floor, curled up against something solid.
“You’re on my imperial ship.” The man’s masculine arrogant voice jerked her gaze to the side.”It took some serious effort, but your body has been cleansed–“

“Cleansed!” Slade jumped to her feet. “What the damn effing hell have you done?” She paused. “Whoever you are.” All she saw was a tall imposing silhouette in what appeared to be the room’s exit.
“We could not allow your suicide mission.”
“We!” Slade stomped toward him, noticing she’d never felt better in her life. “Who is we?”
“We are the race you would have destroyed had you nano-dusted that complex.”
“Oh, well...” Slade halted. He didn’t look exactly human, “how would we have known?”
“Yes, that’s why you’re here.” He moved inward.
Slade shrank backwards. He had devil horns.

Summary

This archive presents over 120Mb of emails, documents, computer code and models from the Climatic Research Unit at the University of East Anglia, written between 1996 and 2009.

The CRU has told the BBC that the files were obtained by a computer hacker 3-4 days ago.

This archive includes unreleased global temperature analysis computer source code that has been the subject of Freedom of Information Act requests.

The archive appears to be a collection of information put together by the CRU prior to a FoI redaction process.

Stolen e-mails reveal venomous feelings toward climate skeptics

Electronic files that were stolen from a prominent climate research center and made public last week provide a rare glimpse into the behind-the-scenes battle to shape the public perception of global warming.

While few U.S. politicians bother to question whether humans are changing the world’s climate — nearly three years ago the U.N. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change concluded the evidence was unequivocal — public debate persists. And the newly disclosed private exchanges among climate scientists at Britain’s Climate Research Unit of the University of East Anglia reveal an intellectual circle that appears to feel very much under attack, and eager to punish its enemies.

In one e-mail, the center’s director, Phil Jones, writes Pennsylvania State University’s Michael E. Mann and questions whether the work of academics that question the link between human activities and global warming deserve to make it into the prestigious IPCC report, which represents the global consensus view on climate science.

“I can’t see either of these papers being in the next IPCC report,” Jones writes. “Kevin and I will keep them out somehow — even if we have to redefine what the peer-review literature is!”

In another, Jones and Mann discuss how they can pressure an academic journal not to accept the work of climate skeptics with whom they disagree. “Perhaps we should encourage our colleagues in the climate research community to no longer submit to, or cite papers in, this journal,” Mann writes.

X-Serial Flash in Two Hundred ~ Sylva and Zeke’s story continues...

Part 330 ~

Sylva chilled inside. The thought of being around that many new people freaked her out. Large crowds had never been her thing. She’d gotten better over the years, convincing herself to overcome her fear. Still... she couldn’t help but tremble. “What’s wrong, Sylva?” Her cowboy’s low concerned voice caused her to sigh, then twist to face him. “That many new folks... I’m... well, I’m not that good in big crowds.”She drew in a ragged breath. “I’d rather not embarrass you. Or myself.” Tenderly, Zeke caressed strands of her hair off her cheeks. “Darlin’, you already know Marina and Grant.”

Zeke studied his wife’s gorgeous face, the shyness that shown in her eyes. “You’ll know my parents.” She reached out, her hand like the delicate flight of a small bird. His Sylva stroked his face, her gaze sheer sweetness. “This is important to you, isn’t it? I mean, it’s part of your tradition.” Zeke gave a slight nod. “You don’t have receptions?” His woman smiled softly. “We do. Large ones, small ones. It’s not the reception, it’s that many people... all at once. How many, anyway?” Capturing her hand, he nibbled her fingertips, and thought. What did he tell her?
