Five Kisses Awarded to Siren Publishing

Five big slurpy kisses awarded to Siren Publishing, e-publisher and small print publisher of run-on-the-wild side romance (various levels of erotic sizzle), for their highest bid rescue of Triskellion authors hung out to dry like bad-meat jerky because of this e-publishing company's recent bankruptcy. Meow-moi won't go into the gory-kill details of Triskellion's demise. Suffice it to rumbling-say, she is fiercely impressed with Siren showing up on the prairie, like the cavalry of the Old West, to rescue the authors and the reputation of financially responsible e-publishers, and to reassure all of us e-authors and e-authors to be, of the viability and vitality of e-publishing and small press publishing.
Yes, Yes, *excited happy purring*, the Kougaress is contracted to publish with Siren, and now is even more thrilled, chasing-down-a-corrupt politician thrilled, to be a Siren author -- not to mention she is rubbing-satisfied that the readers who now happily devour such cyber romance novels will have more opportunities to stalk down and enjoy their feasting faves.
The abundance of buffalo is always whisker-licking good if a Big Kitty is living on the prairie, as is the abundance of fabulous books if one is a voracious reader. Which leads the Kougaress, as if she were downwind of a turkey dinner, to another announcement about Siren Publishing. The first one is Rapture LLC, which will publish erotic anthologies, and Siren Publishing is also creating a sister company to publish the slightly sex-tamer stroll through life -- the sniff-the-roses sweetness of life and love -- preferred by many readers.
It's all about the reader...and fulfilling the fantasy. Perhaps, the fantasies never realized.

A Big Smooch for Max

Hello, Big Kittie Lovers, today's topic as I leisurely rise and stretch into the new day. The Kougaress does most of her paw scribblings at night -- while she hunts for owls, of course. Anyway, the topic -- the Romance Cover Art of Max Ginsburg.
*Purring-appreciative moi* adores most cover art, especially that impassioned moment blatantly decorating the covers of our beloved romance novels, much as she adores lapping up pure rich cream -- or, okay, the cream swirling in her hot chocolate, and definitely the whipped cream on her pumpkin pie. Hunting the wild pumpkin, it's an art.
Ah...the incomparable brush strokes of Max Ginsburg creating our love-glowing heroines, our love-bold heroes. The Kougaress followed the link kindly supplied in her e-romantictimes mag -- amazing! Mr. Ginsburg is selling prints and originals paintings on his website. What a stellar euphoric sauntering through the history of romance cover art, let alone the amazing enchanting sensuality of his art.
If any romance writers, all of us Romantic Big Kitties, simply wish their batteries of inspiration re-charged, lope on over...enjoy...enjoy with your heart and your lover's soul.
On a personal kitty note, the Kougaress wishes her hunting skills were such that she could purchase a few prints of her own.
Upon the grace of another personal note...a big ole' auntie smooch on the cheek of my nephew, Max, who is enjoying his first year at University. Girls, he's an adorable version of Spock. And I have his picture to prove it, complete with pointed ears and uniform.

Tangerine Dream Kiss

The Kougaress is blinking her eyes in absolute crazed astonishment. Yes, crazed. Her little huntress brain is whirling and foggy. Why? If you care to inquire. She dared to submit one of her smut-naughty stories, Tangerine Carnal Dreams, to Aspen Mountain Press and has been offered a contract.
Yes, yes, yes! It's all true. Rolling, romping, smile-rumbling true.
Oh, and her stallion-shifter hero is so exceptionally stud virile. And her heroine is a kick-the-galaxy's ass enforcer for her world, out to save her father from being wrongly convicted. So much fun to write! Tingle, purr, tingle, yowl. And the yowling is soooo good! Especially on the pleasure recreational planet the heroine finds herself on -- with said hero, a renegade stallion shifter from his home world. His parents don't like her. And her world doesn't allow his kind.
Oh...the Kougar is *soooo* claw-scratching in the autumn earth...excited.

With one sad exception. There will be no purple unicorns for now.

Yes, the Kougaress hopes her world will be filled with tangerine dream kisses.

A tangerine dream kiss...if you dare, Big Kittie Lovers...

Title Magic Kisses the White Unicorn

Sigh, the soft sigh created from viewing what is beautiful to your soul. I just visited Title Magic our American Title IV finalists blog site (still under construction) . Another purring-sigh, Big Kittie Lovers, it is so beautiful to see all of us coming together, working together -- or as the immortal Muskateers triumphed, blades raised high, the slicing silver kind of blade, not the erotic blade raised in passion's most brutal desire.
One for all, all for One...or vice versa. The Kougar must refresh her memory on these swashbuckling hero hunks. A delightful activity, indeed.
Ahhh, this must be the Kougaress's day for *shiver...purr...shiver* fantasy deliciousness.
Not so salivating delicious, and what keeps the writer ever-humble...rejection. Not just rejection, yards (fabric yards) of red ink rejection. Growling-moi wishes the contest editor would simply have declared her fierce hatred of the Kougar's entered manuscript. Instead of asking that eternal question, that memorable question for all ages, golden to dinosaur, I thought unicorns were only white?
For all the huntresses out there, those of us who prowl and hunt the adored ecstasy-savored fantasy lands of poster art, of cover art...for all of us, the big cat goddesses who chase down the riveting splendor of fantasy illustrations...we, who run inside the art of lands and worlds not seen, yet seen within the imagination's landscape...seen across the dimensions, seen across the galaxy...seen across the Divine's life-in-every-glorious-and-terrible form, dearest fantasy innocent...
No, unicorns are not only white. Those most magickal beloved beasties are in every shade and hue and shimmer imaginable...indeed, in every shape and size imaginable. Gossamer and fae delicate. Or, the unicorn as the most savage of warriors, their red nostrils flaring battle readiness, their scimitar-curved horns poised to strike, to destroy every enemy...
However, perhaps my next tentative step into the world of contest entries will focus on that most known, most fantasy acceptable -- ah yes, the ubiquitous mysterious and ever-praised white unicorn. Indeed, the beloved of the fantasy ages. Unicorn of the virgin maiden. May she reign supreme. Always.

Kiss for Sun Rocket Kahoqua of the Windgrass Clan

'Tis a bittersweet purr-rumbling day for the Kougar. Her paws are dancing on air and there's a squinchy euphoric smile on her face. It must have been the sweetest of omens yesterday. Among the Kougar's tall stands of autumn-drying horse weed, a beautiful girl cardinal hopped, cocked her red-feather head and fed on the seeds. All to the predatory delight of the Kougaress, safe inside her lair -- and very glad she hadn't chopped down the exceptionally healthy crop of horseweed...yet. Since she has prowling-discovered the resident flock of cardinals love feeding there and birdie hanging out.
Omen...yes, the Kougar's omen. Her lioness-were short novella, Sun Rocket Kahoqua of the Windgrass Clan ( title change in the works) is an adventure erotic romance aboard a space vessel, and has been sold to an e-publisher. Details later, as all develops, hopefully to the happiness of everyone involved. Yay! Roar! Yay! Roar! And an ecstatic roll on the carpet -- er, grass sort of carpet.
The, not the bittersweet chocolate brew the Kougaress laps up like coffee for some and is too tail-switching fond of (one must occasionally be socially humble to the prevailing wisdom despite the Kougaress's blinking disagreement) -- no, the bittersweet of good news mixed with the sadness of loss. Two more American Title IV finalists in Romantic Times Magazine's Dorchester Publishing sponsored contest -- have been eliminated from the competition today.
The Kougar would offer them personal condolences, but the secret must be kept under paw until the voting resumes. However, her heart wraps around them in a gentle long hug. And she knows they will prevail in their writing dreams.

Yum Yum Kiss to Robin Hood

Thirty-six years ago, November 24, 1971, the mysterious and never-caught D.B. Cooper jumped out the back of a commercial plane, jumping over the forest wilds near Portland, Oregon -- once his demands were met, after he got his money. Never to be seen again. At least, not by law enforcement. According to a devoted lawyer investigator Mr. Cooper is a former veteran of the secret mercenary war in Laos, and probably performed what is called a halo (sp?) jump -- not opening his parachute until 20, 000 feet, so radar tracking was ineffective.
Some say the legendary Mr. Cooper died dangling from a tree. Or died in the stream where some of the stolen cash was found littering the bank.
The naughty, politically incorrect Kougaress hopes Mr. Cooper is alive and happily well, having cat-outsmarted the government by using his daring and his military training -- training he received for an illegal war.
You see, Big Kitty Lovers, I am secretly in love with Robin Hood -- the fantasy idea of Robin Hood, that is -- and Mr. Cooper fits the fantasy well enough in today's most boring un-swashbuckling and un-chivalrous culture.
Yes, ever since the tiny Kougarous first heard the adventurous love tale in Sherwood Forest, she sighed, sighing with a giddy tingly yearning, she trembled with a forever longing, all for a man who steals from the rich and gives to the poor.
Yes, long before Kevin Costner's bare bottom graced us, gloriously displayed upon the big silver screen. Before the swashbuckling black & white movie starring the incomparable and always dashing Errol Flynn -- what man could not be dashing with such a yowling-marvelous name, purr...purr...or as Amazon blurbs it, quite meow accurately:
Dashing Errol Flynn is the definitive Robin Hood in the most gloriously swashbuckling version of the legendary story.
Yes, the rubbing yearning Kougaress adores a bold daring man who cares about his downtrodden fellows -- who cares to right the wrongs of society, all while wooing his Maid Marion.
A yum yum kiss to all the Robin Hoods -- now, and in the past.
And a big smacking kiss from the Kougar to D.B. Cooper -- wherever you are -- for keeping the legend alive in our current culture.

Fantasy kisses from the Kougar -- she's roving the wilding forest of Sherwood today.

Cosmic Goddess Rides the Tiger

The Cosmic Goddess Rides the White Tiger -- it was on a black t-shirt I adored in my college days, my 1970's youth.
With a ferocious devotion, the Kougaress has scoured the internet landscape in search of this Vedic style decal, prowling away too much valuable time. Is it merely a desperate attachment to her sinuous dancing youthful days? Perhaps...
Yet...there was such a soaring magic to this decal picture it felt like my soul revealing itself. My soul dancing itself.
Astride a white flying tiger rides the beautiful exotic Vedic goddess. Above the splendor of spires and wondrous buildings reminiscent of the Taj Mahal she rides her fierce and devoted tiger -- with the crescent moon as her companion. Strength and pure femininity, she soars among the black starry cosmos. At her will.

Where is my cosmic goddess astride her fearsome white tiger?
One deepest longing kiss upon her cheek from the Kougaress...and a prayer that she return.

Purring, rumbling kissess to all my Big Kittie Lovers...

Kiss For JFK's Camelot

Hello, Big Kitty lovers, have you ever envisioned what our world, our precious country would be, if the assassination of John Fitzgerald Kennedy had failed? Yesterday was the 44th anniversary of that terror day, that beginning of the national nightmare which, I contend, still envelops us all.
Yesterday I listened to another amazing truth-astonishing show on Coast to Coast am with George Noory ( on the Kennedy assassination.
And remembered again. As I always remember. Vivid as fresh blood on pristine snow.
Seventh grade civics class, over the loudspeaker, the announcement. A stillness inside me, where breath does not exist, cannot exist -- that moment out of time has never left my soul, and will probably never leave me. Because in that moment of total stunned silence, that moment of collective breath held by everyone in my school, I spirit knew...the One Spirit which connects us all...knew. Knew the truth.
As the cougar knows the arrival of prey, before the scent of the rabbit on dusk's breeze, before the fur-outline sight of the rabbit, before the hop hop rustle through grasses, over leaves, before the coveted sound of the rabbit's nibbling. The energy, the aura of the rabbit arrives first. For the cougar who listens, who sees with stalking waiting awareness. The truth of the rabbit always arrives first. Yes, my spirit knew the truth...despite every manipulation and machination to hide the complex layers of ugly truth responsible for John Kennedy's life being taken away by the explosion of bullets on that day in Dallas. All in plain sight. On black and white tv. Told from Walter Cronkite's immortal lips.
Yet, the truth was never in plain sight. The truth has never been seen in the blessed light of day.
Unless, and until the entire truth of that day, that terrible assassination, that ending of American Camelot, finally explodes into the blinding light of day --
Until...our most enlightened future on this beloved Earth cannot arrive.
Truth turns the key of our future. That most blessed future. And nothing else.
We, the people, need a showdown, the sheriff of truth versus the bad guys with the shadow-hidden black hats.
A High Noon of Truth. Remember that classic black and white film?

The Kougar kisses President John Fitzgerald Kennedy wherever he lives in our grand cosmic order. Now.
The Kougar kisses what could have been for us all...and what could still be for all of us. Our Camelot future.

The Kougar's sweetest kisses upon your cheek...

Grateful Kisses

What is the Kougar most *purr...rumble...purr* grateful for? At the most basic Bast soul level, she is grateful for every act of kindness ever given, ever performed, ever provided -- since our time on Blessed Mother Earth began. She is yowling-meow grateful for every act of kindness being done in this very moment...this Thanksgiving present. And, she is blissfully grateful for every act of kindness, every caress of kindness yet to be given in our sacred-entwined futures.

A gentle loving pat on the head. A sweet affectionate kiss on the cheek. A tender caress of understanding, of real caring.

A hug. Yes, the Kougaress loves hugs -- hug her and her furry face scrunches up, her eyes squinch happily, and a smile of cat nirvana appears.

Often the Kougaress is forced to contemplate on how our world would be, could be, if true kindness reigned instead of greed and tyranny.

Kindness where kindness is needed most. Kindness where kindness is simply needed. Kindness only to be kind.

We all need it. We all need to give it.

It is the angelic nature within us, the nature where we leap high, as if on wings, above the lesser expressions of our world -- as if we soar, beautifully soar, winged creations of the Great Divine.

Kiss the Wild Turkeys

Have you ever seen a wild turkey? The ones that are still strutting splendidly. roaming around the wild spots of our beloved nation, the ones who are still hunted -- the turkeys Ben Franklin so admired? The Kougar is beyond grateful at her spare sightings of these magnificent wild fowls. Yes, she squealed with elated delight, clapped her paws, as they crossed the gravel road in front of her, several of them, like a small herd headed from one small wooded section to another strip of woods where a tiny stream flows.
The Kougar had heard others wax poetic on this great American bird, viewed photos in the wildlife mags -- however, dear Big Kitties, it's not the salivating same. It is just not the same dinner. Just as the domestic white gobble gobble is not the same dinner the pilgrim's enjoyed.
No, not the same as hunting the real wild turkey for another precious sighting.
Wild turkeys own a regal and strong bearing, how they stand, how they move -- and how they flow vigorously and purposefully together.
The wiley birds so difficult to hunt with musket and powder, or bow and arrow, according to our nation-building ancestors.
The Kougaress misses spotting her wild turkeys, despite her roving gaze, her keen stalking eye. She worries about their welfare.
May the Divine so protect them, their abundance demands we enjoy a wild turkey dinner in a sacred keeping of nature's balance.

Perhaps a pouring of Wild Turkey in the egg nog...?

The Kougar's Big Smooch

The Kougar's big smooch goes out to her dear, dear friend, an amazing brave Leo lioness, who is having a terribly rough terrain time of it all, raising her daughter, having to find a new job, with an ex who quit his job, so no money, honey.
A Big Cat prayer from your lips to the Great Bast is always welcomed. Many, many of us are in need of the wonderful *purr, purr* blessings from the Divine Bast during these crucial days as we close in on the 2012 climax.
Speaking of the *grin, grin, slurp, slurp, happy, happy* climax, the climactic rising-to-the moon rolling climax -- the Kougaress listened to a fascinating Hay House radio show featuring the author of Urban Tantra -- and learned a few yowing sensational tips.

Kiss Upon the Angel Lady's Cheek

Oooh, the Kougar has been so financially naughty. She has succumbed to the Angels, the angels of author and angel reader, Doreen Virtue on Hay House Radio.
Yes, a big sniff! sniff! of the meaty holiday sale. The Kougar bit. Despite her financial woes. After universe all, the Kougaress adores all the Angels -- ever since her cubhood. All winged creatures being glorious, and not just tasty.
And rumbling about Angels, the Kougar's story, When a Good Angel Falls, needs a home. The first e-oublisher had glowing words for meow moi's story, just a little wish to make the love scenes, yowling, growling hotter. The Kougar just couldn't allow Sedona and Volcano's naughty romping love scenes to be changed.
The second e-publisher couldn't get into the story and complained about the dialogue tags. The third e-publisher liked the story, but considered the writing to be choppy, the world building poor.
Meow moi made the mistake of believing a story set in the upcoming December 21, 2012 end of the world, beginning of a new world -- was, well, blue-sky-above obvious. Not so! Not so! Beware, beware!
Beware of those among us who pretend to be angels...yet see the real angels among us...and see the angelic inside you.
Kisses upon your angelic nature...

The Kougar Kisses Author, C.L. Wilson

A roaring shout out for new author, C. L. Wilson, who is on the fantastical ride of her life. Her first 'world of the fey' book, Lord of the Fading Lands, has received critical acclaim -- however, in the Kougar's humble rumbling opinion, it's the reader who counts, who spends her hard-hunted cash...and that's paw-precisely who is superbly enjoying the fantasy ride in this story, and the 'captivating conclusion' of C.L. Wilson's second book, Lady of Light and Shadows. To boldly, I don't give a snarl's care, continue quoting the gorgeous ad in Romantic Times Magazine, November 2007 issue:

Always, she had feared the magic.
Always, she had fought the dark visions.
Always, she had dreamed of the lover who could save her...
For your own personal luscious sniff of this new author lope on over to her website --
On a dream delicious note -- hear an Eartha Kitt sexy growl here...Yes, the Kougaress sizzles for the lover who could save and forever....
And, hope springs eternal like the savannah antelope...

Kiss from the Strange Side

Hello Big Kitty Lovers, well yours truly, the Kougaress, has observed one of those strange sites in the sky. No, not exactly the ubiquitous UFO...not exactly. Picture it, shortly after the noon hour, a lovely warm autumn day, the shining blue sky. The scream-loud whine of a jet shoots past this Big Kitty's domicile, east to west. Now, how often has the Kougaress searched the sky after hearing this unique jet sound, and seen absolutely nothing, while hearing everything? Often enough. Meow! The frustrated complaining Meow, Meow!
Not this time, dear big kitty lovers, hearing the jet's sound suddenly shooting from west to east, in mere tiny moments, the intrepidly curious Kougaress peers out her office window...
Lo and holy heck behold! This jet-thing ( closest to the AirForce' Raptor) flashes straight across, zooming over the next-door pasture, flying just above the tree tops. What fifty feet, at most?
How many hours did the brave curious Kougaress search for the strange jet in question on the world wide web? Way too long! Until her little eyeballs burned, and squinched in pain. Only to experience the terrible vanishing loss of her prey.
Nothing. Nada. Not on the Air Force official website. And not on the Secret Military Aircraft sites.
Shhhhh...this is just our big kitty secret. The Kougaress does not look forward to a badly timed visit from the local Men In Black. Even if one of them looks like Will Smith.
Kisses from the Strange Universe

A Lazy Kiss

Mew...rumble...purr...and a lazy kiss from the Kougar. Today I feel like rolling in the browning softer grasses of autumn. The winds are sweeping in beneath a blue, cloud-scattered sky -- warm winds today, instead of the chill winds of yesterday. Here, on the paradise plains of the Midwest.
The Kougar was writing-good yesterday. Yes, more progress on her Crescent Moon Press entry - the ever-rewriting, the scrunched-up brow revising...every word in its proper place, a poetic and savage flow of fantasy, of passionate ferocious romance.
And, yes, to all beloveds of the Big Cats...we, like the Kougar, have an inner mew...from the days of domestic bliss...long before the days of Atlantis...
Rumble...purr...a kiss just for you.

American Title IV Kiss

Kisses from the Kougar...

Hello, my legions of Big Kitty fans. How did I stalk the web prairies and sphinx-regally settle here? As one of ten finalists in Romantic Times Magazine's American Title IV contest sponsored by Dorchester Publishing.
Uh-oh...kougar tears spill, soaked up by the rain-deprived ground. Yes, sadly, it is all too true, my precious, claw-fiercely created manuscript has been cruelly eliminated. A huge agonizing yowl reaches up to mother moon. And another.
Oh the dreams...the squashed and scattered dreams -- but remnants of a furry dinner.
Yes, the cyclone of being cast out...left to wander the vast world of publishing, once search of a suitable lair home for my story.
However, you! My legions of lion and lioness powerful, will be gifted with what might have entry.
Since the Kougar possesses a generous and loving heart, she urges you with the gentlest of lapping smooches -- race to vote for your favorite entry at
And enjoy, if you will, what the Kougaress offers to the Earth World.

Title: Murder by Hair Spray in Gardenia, New Atlantis by Savanna Kougar
Genre: Paranormal, Futuristic, Mystery-Intrigue Romance

I’m just a retired, due to health, fifties plus, unmarried, my doggies are my children, fat ole’ baby boomer who has always loved reading, since before kindergarten. I got bitten by the writing bug at age thirteen when I wrote little love scenes with the Beatles, passing them around to my devoted readers, only girls, of course. That ended when the math teacher got hold of one, talk about a red burning face and wishing the floor would swallow me up. And here I am, writing exactly what I enjoy reading most, with the hope others will enjoy it also.

First Line:
The evil cloud of hair spray dominated the air in guest room 666 at Gardenia’s only motel, The Eternal Magnolia – so named because it was surrounded by a park-like acre of Magnolia trees, saved despite the cataclysmic weather, wars and land changes on Earth.

Heroine and Hero:
Sheriff Kalypso Sun Wing is 100 years old in the year 2051. A rebel at heart, an artist by soul, she survived the sterile fifties’ suburbs, the revolutionary turbulence of the sixties, the disco guru seventies. After the suicide of the man she loved, Kalypso barely survived the designer eighties, the fast-forward nineties. In the 21st century Mother Nature rebelled. Kalypso battled for freedom. She never knew why she survived. Until Atlantis rose. Once again.

Agent Zryphus Dolen Vasquoz chose an enforcement career on Earth for several reasons – his fascination with primitive worlds, to make his own way outside the family heritage, to keep official watch for his own Worlds – and, Zerculeon men find Earth women highly desirable, like the gods of old they rival in strength. Since there aren’t enough Zerculeon women, it’s a match made in intergalactic heaven. Especially when Zryphus gets a real eyeful of the Sheriff.

A Tentative Second Kiss

Grrrr from the World of the Kougar,
I launched into thin air over the canyon. Yes, I have officially entered the Crescent Moon Press writer's contest. If you have a meow delicious tingle over fantasy romance, over the paranormal and sci fi in your love stories, well I suggest you free that big cat curiosity and check out They are a new start up in e-publishing and already have an impressive pride of authors. Plus, the visuals are pure enchantment, not to mention the dreamy lovely and lyrical prose introduction to their fantastical realm. Which...purr, purr...rub, why I entered. Even knowing it's a great leap toward a probable no-I-don't-have-a-bite's chance at that luscious prey of opportunity.
A big kougar smooch right on the apple of your cheek.

The First Hello Kiss

Hello, I have created this blog from a position of sheer desperation. What, you may? or may not ask...the very highly irritating fact that I cannot access the American Title IV finalists' Title Magic blog as an Invitee. I have worn my elbow out painfully, clicking and clicking. I have spent way too much valued time trying to discover and fix the problem, when I should be writing on one of my current romance fantasy stories, Samaira Kwin of the Wind Butterfly. I was hoping to enter the Crescent Moon Press contest. Who knows? now. Since November 15 is the end date. Perhaps, it is merely my ineptness with this particular computer expressive art form. But suffice it say, here I am. I shall post what will probably be seen by few. However, I intend to greatly enjoy myself.
Kisses to All
